The Best Cafes in Ashfield, Hampshire, United Kingdom (2025)

Good coffee here. I just moved to the area and seeking for good coffees to make my local. This one has potential. But I still have a few more to go before I decide. Food is good and interesting options. Some sort of donought that resembles "churros" in a circle. I did not yet try that, but in my list as it looks yummy and interesting. Instead I had the croi-nut (I think that's what they are called, you know the half croissant and halt donought. This one had a lemon cream fill. Delightfully fresh, crunchie, and the filling was a good mix of sweetness and tartiness. Price I found a bit expensive, but then I saw it as worth the experience. The service was casual. Peeps behind the counter were busy doing stuff. I was acknowladged by a look and a hint of a head shake to let me know they noticed my entry. When I ordered the guy asked if I wanted it have here or take away. I did say the place was busy and that unless I sit on someone's lap it might be difficult to have here. I got an acknowledgement to my attempt to be funny. Then he said that it might be a little of a wait, but tables do turn often. Decided to have in, went outside and found an available spot from someone that just left. When I walked back in to wait for my stuff, the guy noticed me and I mentioned I found a spot outside. He just said, go and sit there. I'll find you and bring it over. He did as he said only moments later I was handed my croi-nut. Then seconds later my coffee. Outside there is not much of a view, but a petrol station, a traffic light intersection of streets, and this Absolutely wonderful very large, very leafy, very green tree. But also, the constant flow of people. I love just watching life passing by, so this is not a bad comment on location. It was enjoyable. All in all great service, great coffee, good croi-nut and a great watching of life passing by.

What a lovely cafe on the non-busy side of Ashfield train station. The savoury waffles were delicious. The waffles are filled with corn and zucchini then topped with smashed avocado, some cherry tomatoes and a soft boiled egg. The soy flat white was perfect. Go early to avoid the wait.

Great coffee with good crema, perfect sweetness/bitterness mix with their mochas. Brekkie Burger was very good, and the burger sauce was surprisingly spicy, but was a very welcome heat! Never had pastrami on a brekkie burger before but it works very nicely.

Saw this on TikTok and went for the recommended coffees. Didn't disappoint! Really know their coffee and have it dialled in well for my double ristretto. Place gets super busy as weekends so bit chaotic knowing who's waiting for a table and who's just waiting for takeaway, but eh - not a big deal. The food is god tier though. Had the mushrooms on toast with poached egg. Sounded ok, wasn't expecting it to be one of the nicest things I've eaten in ages. Deffo get it and see for yourself. Missis had Reuben and it was great too, and although not as good as By George in Croydon Park, it was still up there. The coffee is worth going for daily though, can also have as v60 where they recommend to. Parking was ok, right across from the cafe.

This does what it says on the box: cafe food…think full English, which come in 10 variations, 9 versions of “eggs - light - healthy”. Come here after a night out and you will not be disappointed. Lovely staff, friendly, smiley, prompt service. I had a coffee cake and espresso: probably not the best choice at a cafe. The cake was warm and the espresso was not strong. But hey! I went there, so what can I have expected. The place is clean and tidy with a large unisex loo.

Best breakfast in Bordon without a doubt. We loved our late breakfast at this new lovely place, very polite and professional staff, Ihighly recommend the “Mediterranean Breakfast”.

My son recently moved to Bordon so we decided to try out this cafe. We had a warm welcome, great service and great food. The cafe was lovely and clean. Appears to be very busy at times, which is a good sign. We were given a free coffee as a welcome to the area!

It’s my second time going here and I’m really impressed. The coffee to go tastes MILES better than you’d get at Costa/Starbucks. The staff are lovely. Previously I queried how to use a moka pot and was given a full intro for it by the lady serving me (she was so patient!) and today’s employee was also very friendly. I’m enjoying the fresh coffee grounds at home too, and just really looking forward to trying more blends!

I’ve been twice now and will continue to go back. I had a Thai Milk Tea the first time which was absolutely incredible. Had no idea what to expect but that has quickly become my new favourite drink! The next time, I had the iced version which was just as yummy. I drank it in seconds! Super friendly and helpful staff too, great coffee shop

Lovely coffee house - we watched the coffee beans roasting while waiting for our lattes and bacon rolls. Lots of coffee varieties on offer, together with cakes, rolls, bubble tea etc. Brilliant 👍🏻

So this review is for my recent mail order of coffee beans - Celestial and Tiger Stripes blend. I have ordered ground in the past but we’ve now moved to grinding our own beans. Tried both these now and they are absolutely lovely. The tiger stripes in particular is gorgeous! They put commercial supermarket blends to shame and it’s a much better experience than a high st chain. The delivery was swift as well. Thank you.

My 90 year old mum wanted to come here as one of her first times out for something to eat since the pandemic started 2 years ago. The LTS is a well decorated clean tea shop. Its upstairs so hidden away. The stairs are steep but mum managed as there was a rail. Good strong cups of tea and an excellent breakfast choice with many variations possible so it worked well for the 4 of us .Prices are good and so exceptional value especially as the breakfast was good.

Just back from a lovely visit here. 2 breakfasts, tea, 2 cake and an Oreo milk shake all for £28. Great service and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Happy Sunday! Edit! My wife told me I must tell you about the bubble and squeak! She added it to her breakfast and enjoyed every bit! We will be back!

Lovely tearoom, with friendly staff. Food was really good and there was plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices too. The table on the far side is on the uneven part of the floor which gives a strange dizzy feel (similar to the upside down house we recently visited! 😅), so we asked to be moved, which they kindly did.

Food - lunch specials traditional roasted turkey and eggs royale were GREAT, very satisfying! Very friendly cafe and I like the neighbourhood atmosphere very much. Definitely returning!

Good old fashioned cafe where the prices are great and the food phenomenal. Greeted with a warm smile, and they make you feel at home. If you want a comfortable stop that will leave your wallet, happy this is it.

A nice, welcoming coffee shop in the heart of Whitchurch. Take a walk around some of the river Test walks nearby and end up here - you won't be disappointed. Very smiley and friendly staff, and some nice cakes and snacks as well as good coffee. Try the mocha 😋

Fantastic cafe and good quality coffee. Some staff are so fantastic and I am always fascinated on how they even remember your name! It does make an impact and makes you feel so welcome! I do wish that there would be more pure Colombian coffee either in brewing you one, or selling as beans. Its great coffee place, and one of the best locally. Thanks for a great service!

The place has a great food. Great Oreo milkshake.The ladies are very friendly. Our food took a little bit of time and as a courtesy they gave us free drinks. The place is small and you need to make reservation.

Fabulous place for the witch or wizard in your life. We popped in after an early morning Karate grading (mainly because by 10am, I still hadn't had my morning caffeine) and ended up having a belly busting all you can eat breakfast including tea and toast. £10 for an adult and £6 for a child made it amazing value and the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Would 100% recommend this to anyone for good food and a spell bounding vibe.

Kirstie did an absolutely fantastic job on my wedding buffet with such short notice. My guest thought the food was great and I had guest asking me where it was from and I was more than happy to recommend 10/10!

We booked the Yard for a private party on Saturday evening. The location is fantastic, the staff were efficient, attentive, and friendly, and we had a great evening. Thoroughly recommend it!

Lovely Coffee Shop one of the guys in our cycle club guided us to, after seeing good things about, so we gave it a go........it's in a very remote location but has lovely decor and a very bijoux feel about it. Staff were very upbeat and were serving quickly and efficiently. There is a large selection of coffee, cake and hot food on offer with the coffee beans baked on site called Moon Coffee which is also sold here. The "yard" area is very spacious with lovely seating around as well as outdoor heaters for the colder mornings or evenings. They are doggie friendly as saw a few on our visit and welcomed cyclists to with two very large bike racks to use.........will definitely visit again if we are out this way again!!

I recently booked this venue for my partner’s 30th birthday, and it was amazing! This is one of our favourite spots to enjoy coffee together, so it felt like the perfect place to celebrate the occasion. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible. Frankie and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly. We had an outside caterer for the food, but the staff took charge of organising and presenting it perfectly, making sure everything was on time, and making sure all of our guests, including those with allergies, were well taken care of. The atmosphere was fantastic- full of energy, warm, welcoming and it didn’t feel rushed or stressful. I kept checking in throughout the evening, but Frankie was absolutely wonderful in reassuring me that everything was under control and telling me that I should enjoy the celebration without a worry, which is what I did. Our guests had a wonderful time, and I’ve received nothing but positive feedback about the venue, the staff and the overall experience. I would highly recommend this place for any event - you won’t be disappointed. A huge thank you to Frankie and the team for making my partner’s birthday so special!

We come to this wonderful cafe everytime we visit the New Forest. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and the owner, Mitat goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and to come and say hello. The All Day Breakfast is honestly the best we have ever had and we have eaten many over the years. The cafe has recently been refurbished and looks lovely. Highly recommend Peggy May's Lyndhurst.

This cafe is an absolute gem! The food and drinks are fantastic, with what might be the best hot chocolate we've ever had. However, what truly sets it apart is the outstanding service. The staff are incredibly friendly, go above and beyond for their customers, and always serve you with a warm smile. The owner also works alongside the team, and it’s clear that his professionalism and pride in the business shine through in every detail. We highly recommend this cafe, not just for the amazing food and drink, but for the hardworking, friendly staff and the top-notch atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that restores your faith in humanity!

Cosy little cafe on the high street. Warm and efficient service from the lovely staff there. Popped in for a quick lunch and had the best homemade leek and potato soup. Was exactly like my grandma used to make when I was little. Huge bowl, piping hot with a big chunk of fresh bread... heaven. Menu items all can be made gluten free and lots of vegan/veg options. Brilliant little place. Loved it. Homemade cakes looked gorgeous.

Really wonderful place! So many options, you’ll find familiar dishes as well as new twists on old classics. The food tastes great and the portions are a good size. There’s a friendly and inviting atmosphere and very clean. Can’t wait to come back!
