One of my go-to cafés after a walk. It’s cozy with simple, homey decor that gives a nice family vibe. The pastries are fresh and delicious with lots of options, is definitely the highlight! Staff are friendly, and the service is good. We ordered a latte and cappuccino, but both tasted a bit burnt. hope they improve on that. Overall, a great spot for pastries and a chill atmosphere.
I love it here. It feels like you're in a cute little cafe right in Paris!! I've had the baked goods a few times now after a friend introduced me. But the lunch I had last week was worth writing home about. A fresh Waldorf salad with creamy blue cheese & pear and the most buttery, delicious, creamy mushroom & leek tart I've ever had! I wanted to go back the very next day to have it again! When looking for somewhere for a quick coffee & croissant or a relaxing lunch, choose Chez Maitre - you won't be disappointed.
The bread was very fresh however sticky (M&S type. If you ever tried M&S handcrafted large sourdough it's pretty much same). It's lovely to see such great coffee shop opening! But please guys listen to reviews and you will be even better! Thank you
