Unexpectedly I found myself in Coulsdon South waiting for my car and needing to fill 2 hours. The town center it self is quite unloved, but seems to have a few gems. And Grumpy Goose is one of them quaint little restaurants with an interesting menu. I had breakfast, the rest of the menu looks delicious and a bit different. Full of goodness. The food was well presented and cooked with love and care. The service and staff very friendly and attentive. The only criticism I would have is that the beans were flavoured with herbs, but this is a personal preference I prefer traditional beans. The coffee was good.
Welcoming staff and lovely place. The muffin was gorgeous. However, the place got crowded quickly so it was quite noisy and there was no internet connection on the inside.
Popped in to grab a bite to eat. Attentive and welcoming staff showed me to a table with a full menu of items available. I went for a tuna melt toastie with a bit of kick from jalapeños. Food arrived promptly. It was delicious, the odd kick from the jalapeños brought something extra to a tuna melt. Had a flat white with the toastie, they paired nicely. Didn’t have time for a cake, will have to pop back in again!
A lovely find in this area. Excellent coffee and a wide range of fresh pastries for all your tastes. Friendly staff and lots of space inside
