Very friendly place and excellent delicious food.

This place is great! Amazing little café under the arches (clue is in the name) of an elevated railway. I had a breakfast here and couldn't fault it. Sensible prices, charming staff, very clean, good food, oh and the coffee was good as well. My photo of the menu is dated 15th December 2023. Highly recommended.

Arches Cafe is a wonderful family business that serves delicious well sourced food. We ordered breakfast. First Class full English and a great cup of coffee. If you’re looking for an authentic London cafe experience this is the place for you!

I had an absolutely fantastic breakfast at the Arches cafe, quite probably the best I've ever had (and I am a big fan of an English Breakfast!). Great service, and good range of options on the menu. Highly recommended.

Shout out to my brother Adil who got the same name as me so you know he's certified ;) Went on a packed out Friday he was front-line taking all the orders, despite being so busy he was very helpful with my questions and so hospitable. Food was great too, give this a try if your local!

Their munchbox is only £15, you can pick either -a quesadilla, burrito or sandwich, fried rice or macaroni cheese, wings, chips and a drink. I’m really impressed with their food, I’ll definitely return.

I really loved the friendly and local atmosphere of this restaurant, which is hard to find in London. There were many patrons who were regulars here. The staff is very attentive and kind and one of the cooks (I think he is one of the owners) would talk to everyone and make jokes as well, which helped to make the place even more lively. I had the full English breakfast and overall it was good but the bacon was overcooked and the toast was soggy. The sausage and black pudding were very good. The portions are big which is also a rare find for a breakfast in London nowadays. I think the experience of eating here is a must try. If you are looking for some decent grub in the area I would certainly recommend it. Cash only!

Wonderful place with great food, service and friendly staff. They make your feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. Didn't think places like these existed anymore. Loved it.

We waited about 30 minutes to get into the café, but it was worth it. The food was fantastic, and the portions were huge—definitely enough for two adults to share. However, since everyone around us seemed to order their own plate, we followed suit and ended up with lots of leftovers. Needless to say, we were so stuffed and I didn’t want any food the entire day after this breakfast. The vibe of this café is absolutely 10/10. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they genuinely take the time to chat with customers, which made the dining experience even better. As a sweet gesture, the owner shared their nonna’s homemade bread pudding with us, which was such a lovely touch. Overall, it’s great food, great people, and great ambiance. I’d highly recommend this place—if not for the food, then definitely for the incredible vibe!

Still a homely place for locals as we were the only out-of-town peeps there at opening time but then again, it's not the tourist season in the middle of this cold January month. Family run and all of them were hospitable and friendly. Ned will make the effort to talk to everyone. He let us tried his homemade pesto, which was simply lovely. We will make sure to try the pasta dishes next. We were even given a complimentary side of homemade apple pie. That was so sweet of them.

A wonderful old-fashioned London cafe. Large menu selection. Friendly staff. Great service. You can even treat yourself to a Billy’s cafe baseball cap or t-shirt.

A hidden gem in the heart of Bethnal Green. Off the beaten track although just two minutes from Cambridge Heath overground station Billy’s is brilliant! Super polite and friendly staff, bright, clean and airy, good value for money and excellent food - what’s not to love?!? I honestly can’t find a single fault with this cafe! I now wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else for an all-day Billy’s Special breakfast!

this is a perfect caf. really lovely breakfast that was the exact correct amount of grease. and i don’t know how theyve done it but my cup of tea was *perfect*. the guys who work here are so lovely too. 10/10 ! i got a full breakfast and two drinks for less than 10 pound btw

Beautiful new place really loved the interior designs nice and cozy, the food was excellent quality and came nice and warm freshly made. Loved the atmosphere the staff were very friendly. I really recommend this place, family friendly and easy access to busses near by a short walk away from Victoria park. Nice and clean very good hygiene. Easy to access door eat wheelchair friendly. I will be going there again! They also made the food just the way I wanted it and I was able to replace tomatoes with something else as I'm allergic to tomatoes. Thanks to the lovely staff she was so friendly and she listened well for my order. The till guy was also funny and friendly. They also have cakes and dessert the menu is so nice and the prices are affordable. Make a day out with the family you will really enjoy this place. The music was also nice not too loud not too quiet just right. Overall wonderful experience.

So happy this new cafe has opened. Incredible food with veggie and vegan options. Best hot chocolate around! Friendly staff and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. There are lots of great cafes in the Vicky Park area but this is now one of my favourites!

Came here with my friend for brunch and it was great! Service was lovely and quick, great portions with decent prices as well. Coffee was great and decor was really nice. Love environment and atmosphere as well. I would definitely recommend coming here.

A new little cafe in Bethnal Green. Formally a fish a chip shop the owners have transformed it into a really lovely bistro cafe. Huge portions . Lovely service. Nice atmosphere. Was skeptical but genuinely loved the food

this is me and my fiance’s favorite spot after trying many places in our 1 week trip in London! The halal english breakfast was my favorite, and the medi breeze was also a highlight! their selection of teas is also amazing. the turkey rashers and mushrooms were delicious, pancakes were super fluffy, hash browns cooked to perfection and the cherry on top was how kind and personable the staff were!

One of the better cafes in the area. Their food is delicious and looks pleasing too. They make any changes for the breakfasts. Eggs are perfectly cooked. Hash browns are lush. I love that they include some fruit with the breakfast. The only downside was that the pancakes are mediocre, as they are quite dry and I would expect them to be more moist. Therefore, I usually pick options without the pancakes.

The food here is absolutely divine even down to the toast! The staff as well are absolutely lovely, especially the lady who served me and my brother, she was so warm and welcoming and as I'm not a fan of tea and coffee she brought me a large orange juice rather than the small glass that came with breakfast. I really haven't had such a lovely breakfast in a long time and I can't wait to pop down London to visit my brother and make him take me for food here again haha.

This place is a humble abode for all foodies like me who like their “south Asian” flavours. Momos are top notch. You get the real deal of peanut and chili chutney. , and also a very home like flavourful coriander chutney. These condiments elevate their dishes like anything. I have been here multiple times. The staff is always very jolly. Especially love chatting up with Johnny every time I’m here. Must haves - Khichuri - Milk Cake - chilli chicken momo - Chicken noodles I’m not really a coffee drinker but I see lots of folks dropping by to have their share of coffees. Coming from the Indian subcontinent, I love their chai - kadak chai is something you should try here. It’s got a nice overall vibe of an “adda” - a concept in Eastern India and Bangladesh where you just gather for chilling with friends and close ones. I get that feeling at this place - which is rare in London eateries.

Came here to try out a new place with the family and ended a Sunday evening with great food! Ordered a variety on the menu including combo kebab, beef kichuri, haleem, gourmet burger, loaded fries, chicken noodles, chilli momo and sweet chilli momo. All tasted absolutely amazing, served with such great customer service from Nafis! Love the authenticity and attention to detail. Definitely do try the sweet chilli momo, as it is now one of our favourites!

Their momos and biriryani , chicken over rice so tasty 10/10 only people is if you don’t like spicy then make sure you ask the waiter for normal spicy option , fusion is for spicy food lovers . 4. Barista sections has lots of choice , nice blended coffee. But you might complain about smell of food inside restaurants but then again it’s the nature of food they cooking and serving if you go African restaurant you will get smell . Tasty food will smell 9.5 /10 rating

Stopped by this place out of convenience, but so glad I did, the service was great, and we felt so welcome. Tried the chicken and lamb momos which were so good and also tried their turmeric latte - perfect winter warmer, well made. Will definitely come back to try their coffees and the extended range of warm drinks on offer.

During my stay in London, I regularly came to Rastro Café for my morning coffee and breakfast. The coffee is excellent and the croissants are also delicious. Easily one of the best coffee shops I've visited in London.

A beautiful cafe next to Bethnal Green Station. Don't be fooled by its unassuming exterior because they do make excellent foccacia and sourdough. I am very picky about my coffee and always ask *and support) artisan coffee. Therefore on my visit I did ask if they serve artisan coffee and my heart sank a bit, when they asked me what that meant. Nevertheless, I gave in to my craving and thought I'd risk it as long as they didn't say it was some kind of Italian chain brand. And I must say, I did not regret it!! The coffee was excellent. The cafe was clean and tastefully decorated and a clear favourite of coffee lovers. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make customers happy! I had left my bag and totally forgotten about it, when the barista came running up behind me down the street to hand over my bag!

I recently visited Rastro Café and had an incredible experience. We ordered the classic focaccia and two coffees, both of which were delightful. The staff was extremely friendly, making us feel welcome and at ease. The ambiance of the café is truly cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy good food and great service in a charming setting 🫶🏼☕️

I had a wonderful time with friends enjoying delicious specialty coffee here. A small but cozy place to be. I tried a chai latte with cinnamon, which was excellent. Highly recommended!

Firstly, I have to mention that the ambiance is a much needed upgrade from the previous cafe. Carefully selected pallets of colours has made the cafe a real gem upon it's opening. Secondly, I am a big fan of the Dahl entree, which has a wholesome, morish taste that would please most lovers of food. The attention to colors on the plate is aesthetically pleasing alongside the flavors. I have given 4 stars for service, as their is one staff member who has a disconcerting gaze that I cannot place. I'm not sure if he is just scarastic, or I am reading into it. I overheard him make a negative remark under his breath regarding a customer's remarks once he turned his back. I travel around the world and have eaten at many cafe's. I am not here to reprimand staff, just to give transparency to what I saw. Otherwise, the business has a very promising future and I will continue to support.

It was my first time to go in after the refurbishment and change of management. The place is much nicer with white paint on the walls. It looked more spacious. Love the tables. We went for lunch about 1pm and it was packed. There is a poster saying “laptops are welcome after 2pm”, which makes sense as it became quieter after 2pm. It would have been nice to sit outside, but it was raining. All dishes are vegetarian! It could be all vegan. We had main dishes and desserts. Vegan cheese cake was really good. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely staff, great service. The whole setup is great really, nice comfy seating inside. Great food, had the spinach and feta pie and a mocha, spot on!

I was working here in the Area 2 years ago and I had visited this beautiful coffee shop the taste of the coffe and the hole experience was unforgettable. I had to leave the country for studies and when I came back I was looking for a Freddy espresso desperately. I couldn’t find it everywhere. So one day I walked through and I accidentally found it again. The stuff was so kind so talkative with good energy and vibe and the coffe brought me back memories and it was the exactly the same

decent coffee, but the almond croissant was good. however i could not finish this as it got sickly. cashier was standoffish but the barista was nicer. i was disappointed with the latte art on my coffee as it was quite unnoticeable, yet other people’s coffee had significantly better art. the interior is nice and cozy and there is free wifi. the cafe reminded me of when i lived in italy from the glass of water on the side.

We ordered two flat whites and both were good. I also liked the coffee art. It had a nice cosy feel inside too.
