Had an amazing experience at Cafe East as always! This is my 4th time visiting and it always gets better. The food was a delight, it looked and tasted on point - we tried the breakfast and yummy French toast 😋. The drinks were super refreshing too, we tried the fresh orange juice and the Surprise Me! smoothie. Coffee was perfect. Has to be the best breakfast around, especially for the price range! A huge thank you to Naz and the team for the amazing time 💕 Best Cafe in London!

Despite living nearby, it's taken a while to get around to visiting Cafe East, because the reviews online talk about the queues that I didn't want to contend with. Thankfully when we visited around 10am a Friday morning, we found the place to be quiet with no wait at all. By the time we left about an hour later, the place was starting to get a little busier. Service was great and food arrived quickly - another thing I'd worried about after reading the reviews. Both of our meals - the veggie delight and the pancake & berries - were delectable and well portioned and the presentation was outstanding. The vegan sausage took me by surprise as I was expecting an imitation meat. What I received instead I can best describe as a sausage shaped fried veggie mix. No complaints though - it tasted great! Great decor and great vibes all round - I can see why it's so popular!

Absolutely delicious, presentation of the food is top, so colourful, the staff and waiters are so friendly and kind. This is how you run a successful cafe. Well done guys. Will definitely recommend and will be eating here again. My new breakfast spot.

This place was divine! Initially we planned to go elsewhere but luckily we stumbled upon Cafe East with no queue and I'm so glad we gave it a shot. The service was lovely, not overdone. The birthday song by the waiters was also enjoyable. The food came beautifully presented and my eggs were cooked just how I'd asked. Pancakes were smaller than expected but with so much fruit also on my plate, the portion was just right. I loved the hash browns and grilled halloumi and my iced coffee came with crunchy ice - yum! Would definitely recommend and revisit. Just wish there was something to dry my hands with in the toilet.

Absolutely incredible spot - really lovely service and a banging atmosphere. Food was delicious and really well priced, only complaint is that I genuinely couldn’t finish it all. I’d say best spot on the Roman Road Will absolutely be back!

Love this little coffee shop. They used to support our local school PTA with coffee vouchers when we were asking local businesses to donate something for our raffle prizes. I went to ask for their support and won the coffee vouchers one year. I’ve been a fan of this coffee shop since. Cannoli is so tasty!

My family and I have been coming here everyday for the last 4 years for our morning coffee. The community gathers around this place, we got to know so many people. The owner Francesco is a great dude, chats to everyone and has got that Italian warmth that makes you feel at home. The staff is as welcoming, they are all friends now. The coffee, for me, is the best in London and the croissants are to die for.

All of the toast were very tasty and rich in flavour. Went back 3 times to try all of them. The best one in my opinion is the one with the onion. The only minus is that the dine in places are very limited.

An absolute hidden gem for brunch. The atmosphere and decor is so lovely and relaxing. Whole space is very light and airy. The staff are really friendly and sweet. We felt very welcome. The food is delicious. Very fresh and good quality. Also a great price - we paid £13 a head for a breakfast and coffee. Will definitely be stopping by again soon.

What a lovely little cafe! We popped in once we saw the delicious looking cakes in the window...and delicious they were. Lots of food options. I had a marble cake and hot chocolate...both hit the spot and generous portions. The atmosphere was chilled with nice decor. The staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. We were even asked what other vegan cakes we would like to see offered (which we thought was great!)

Absolutely gorgeous little local cafe with great service and brunch style food options. Whilst it may be vegan, their cheese toasties could stand up amongst any non vegan options. Love the greenery inside, Huw is just fab and their matcha and cinnamon rolls are exquisite.

Landed there by chance, as we were in a venue nearby and just wanted lunch. We weren't disappointed. Amazing food, good and simple choice. It has a sweet charm of an old tavern and holiday cafe mixed in one which added to an atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Was planning on going to the popular cafe next door but the line was over 2 hours and so we decided to to give this place a go as the food looked good and it was busy but no queue. Very happy that we did as it was a lovely breakfast. The full English had everything you could want and was fresh. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was lovely too. Amazing bubble and squeak. Don’t bother waiting in the queue for next door. Come here!

I really like this place and I enjoy the food variety and the cafe' s atmosphere. Sadly it does not offer gluten free bread and also it seems that there is no culture of making a kind gesture towards clients who cannot eat their delicious sourdough bread as they are gluten intolerant by replacing the bread with another ingredient or by changing a small part about the option chosen. E.g. I wanted to order the full monthly breakfast that comes with the two slices of sourdough bread and scrambled eggs. I explained I would not take the bread but asked if the eggs could be served as poached. Sadly this could not be changed. Most places do that now and I hope the owners can consider this small change to how welcoming they are to clients intolerant to gluten. I am adding a pic of an amazing meal I ended up with!!

The little gem of a restaurant did not disappoint. We stopped in on our journey through the Bethnal Green area of East London. I saw some food pics in their IG account and thought they looked too good to be true. Wow was I proven wrong. Ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was just so amazing in real life, the look, the presentation, and the taste were top notch. I consider myself an Eggs Benedict expert and this was the best I have ever had in my life (big statement). Hat tip on the small salad and balsamic glaze - perfection..! 😀

My friend George took me there for breakfast and i was really amazed.. everything is perfect from food, drinks and atmosphere. I’ve ordered scrambled eggs on avocado toast and it came like 5 star hotel breakfast. Well defined and presented. The latte was lovely too.. Many people reading books which the place is chilled. I highly recommend it and i will definitely go back ❤️

I was working here in the Area 2 years ago and I had visited this beautiful coffee shop the taste of the coffe and the hole experience was unforgettable. I had to leave the country for studies and when I came back I was looking for a Freddy espresso desperately. I couldn’t find it everywhere. So one day I walked through and I accidentally found it again. The stuff was so kind so talkative with good energy and vibe and the coffe brought me back memories and it was the exactly the same

decent coffee, but the almond croissant was good. however i could not finish this as it got sickly. cashier was standoffish but the barista was nicer. i was disappointed with the latte art on my coffee as it was quite unnoticeable, yet other people’s coffee had significantly better art. the interior is nice and cozy and there is free wifi. the cafe reminded me of when i lived in italy from the glass of water on the side.

Cool spot. Came here for a coffee and carrot cake, both I'd recommend. Really inviting atmosphere as the staff are very pleasant. I like the attention to detail, down to the space and the fancy ceramic mugs. Top vegan cafe with great coffee, savoury/sweet meal options and pastries. Had the protein pancakes and gecko breakfast. So delicious! Drinks were nice too. Also got a carrot cake to take home. Note:there is plenty downstairs seatingfor a comfortable sit in, many used this as a work space too.

Came here because of a recommendation from a friend, and Gecko exceeded expectations! All vegan, delicious food and coffee. Great decor too: lots of wood, ambient light, and plants! Lovely spot to do some laptop work with the fantastic wifi, as well. Definitely will be returning for more.

This is a very bright and friendly plant based coffee shop. All the coffee drinks are made with oat milk (almond milk or coconut milk is also available. Besides typical pastries, there is a small menu of breakfast foods. We had the açai bowl and the avocado and thyme toast. Both were delicious. You cannot sit and work on your laptop upstairs, but there is a special space downstairs where laptops are allowed. Great place with friendly staff and good food!

One of my favorite meals during my trip to London. Elevated yet approachable kippers on toast with a beurre blanc and lovage oil sauce. Presentation was stunning, food was scrumptious. Finished every last drop of sauce that i could. Lovely cappuccino and fresh orange juice as well. Thank you guys for a delicious meal :)))

I've been to Mae & Harvey twice now and both have times have been absolutely spot on. The quality of the food for the price is just excellent. The roast chicken sandwich is a reason to come back again and again. The coffee is quality and the team working in there have been helpful, friendly and take the time to have a conversation with you

An absolute must in Bow for breakfast, brunch, coffee etc! What a lovely place. First you'll notice the warm, friendly welcome. Young, engaged staff who are quick to serve. Lovely menu of home-prepared dishes - the fennel sausage patties on sourdough were superb. Great coffee and a nice atmosphere. If you have to queue then do! It's worth it.

One of the best brunches we had in London so far! The whole menu was amazing, we ordered Chicken Sarnia, the old bay roasted potatoes and the chestnut pancake. The perfect mix for both savoury and sweet, the ideal flavour compliment. Extra stars for dog friendliness, our pup was able to dine with us and we even got a special nook just for our pup.

My favourite local coffee shop, always great service and always happy to have a chat whilst they busy about (they know most of the people who come in, and remember their normal order - the advantage of going to an independent over a chain). Coffee is consistently great, and the Acai bowl I am slightly addicted too (handy hint: always add peanut butter).

Nice volume of taste coffee, good place to stay and chill for a while after a long distance of walking. They have bar seats to see the street from the shop. Outside seats is also relax to view this not too busy street. Food looks nice and they offer giant croissant!!

I’ve been coming here for years and only now had the courage to leave a review these guys deserve (oops) Lovely independent cafe in Bethanl Green, the staff are charming and the music has some real bangers. Coffee quality is always amazing (even with the alternative milks, that are really hard to do well) and I’m regularly impressed by how well the staff handle things at the busiest times of the day

Cosy coffee shop with good quality coffee and nice sandwiches. My americano (£3.20) was flavorful and nutty, without being bitter. My Vegan BLT sandwich (£7.45) was also good, I just wished it had more “bacon”. Felt good sitting inside for a bit. Staff were very friendly and helpful!
