Very professional, caring, compassionate and deliver exceptional levels of dignity
I am deeply grateful for the care my dog Prada received. The vet who looked after her was exceptionally kind and thorough, ensuring Prada was in the best hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Alder to anyone seeking excellent care for their pets.
Very sadly, due to the cost of a consultation rising to £45, I can longer afford to come here. This rise hits only the poorest pet owners, who will avoid going to the vet. Much better to keep it low for the sake of animals, and increase the cost of treatment and meds by say 15% to ensure you keep customers and increase the numbers of people bringing pets to you, *particularly* pensioners and people on low fixed incomes. Even though I have emergency money for vet bills, just bringing a few animals to be looked at a couple of times, will cost hundreds, even before the cost of medication.
And I cannot imagine the owner of a sick guinea pig or rabbit rushing to see a vet at £45 as soon as you walk through the door.
The staff are wonderful though.
Alders were a great support to us with our last dog Clint, from the time we found him dumped by the roadside, to his last two years when he suffered diabetes and blindness, but continued to enjoy life to the full. When we recently adopted Monty, the choice of Vet was a no brainer!
