The food was amazing and staff were great, they accommodated to my dietary needs without hesitation(which are not the easiest to accommodate to!). The food tasted great and the service was top notch. Not forgetting this cafe makes the best coffee I’ve ever had and the staff are always happy to help if you’re not sure what to choose from the menu. Great experience 10/10

I go to Natters for a filter coffee and a cake every day and have done so for many years. The best ''Guest' filter coffee is precision made at the table, the cakes (my favourite are Tiffins) are Vegan. The coffee and all their cakes are excellent. The young staff are friendly, kind and hard working. When it's very busy there can be a delay but it's worth the wait. The best place for coffee in the area.

Adorable cafe with inside and outdoor seating. I saw on the menu they do a pre-book afternoon tea as well! The loose leaf jasmine tea was a bit strong, but the pot was a very nice piece and my avocado toast was the delish. They compensated for our group of 6 and we all paid separately very easily!

The Cyder House Inn

Peper Harow Ln, Godalming GU8 6AN, UK | Pub
P: 01483 810360

Rating: 4.6 (624) Price Level:

Booked this lovely pub for our 21st Wedding Anniversary as I have passed it many a time on bike rides with my club and always thought of giving it a try. The pub is in a lovely setting in the Surrey Hills and has a lovely country/gastro pub vibe to it with good parking and spacious garden area with rattan furniture. Inside is very modern and clean, staff are super friendly and attentive, with food coming out in a very timely manner. The menu has lots to choose from with plenty of vegan options so shouldn't be issues with food selection. Drinks are of a good selection with a cocktail menu and are freshly made without pre-made syrups. All in all a great place to celebrate our anniversary and if you're not celebrating anything, a lovely place to eat and drink in the Surrey Hills.

Been here twice now and will definitely return. Food is a little pricey but it is worth it. Great menu with lots of tasty vegan options for starters, mains and dessert. Had the garlic flatbread with black olive tepenade, banana blossom "fish" and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce and to finish, sticky toffee pudding with oat flat white. All really lovely and service was brilliant. Look forward to returning.

I read somewhere that this place boasts the best Roast in the county, and they're not wrong. Big, hearty portions with a great range of offerings in additions to the classics. Desserts were the surprise package, get the Yorkie & Butter pudding, unbelievable Jeff. Staff looked after us really well and the setting is delightful. Top marks all round!

Great, middle of nowhere country pub. We visited today after our 6 mile hike. The pub is dog friendly, which was great for us as we had borrowed our friends dog for the day. Dog bowls located inside French doors in patio garden area, with a huge keg outside to fill them. Car park is spacious. Play area. Nice, clean restaurant and toilets. Food was served quickly and was presented beautifully, hot and with a friendly smile. Not overly priced, a lovely atmosphere and made to feel very welcome. We will return.

Stopped en route to London for a quick meal and had the most fantastic experience at this pub. We were greeted by Dave who couldn't have done more to make our two children feel more welcome. The children's menu was the best they have ever seen, and high praise from our youngest who said it was the best beef burger she has ever had. As well as the usual kids meals they offer much more variety like ribs or steak, all for £10 inc dessert. Outside is a huge play park. Location is perfect if your passing, less than a minute detour from the A3. Highly recommend this pub, and I would suggest to the management that Dave should have a pay rise!

My family attended a table for the Boxing day festive menu at Heaven's kitchen. We were all very impressed with the level of customer service. Our waiter was attentive, efficient and also had a great humor and made us laugh. The food was delicious!! Fabulous dishes and the price was extremely reasonable. It was most of our first time visiting here and we will definitely be back.

The Cricketers, Farncombe

Rating: 4.4 (336) Price Level:

Lovely local with a good selection of drinks including alcohol free options. Lovely garden with space for larger and smaller groups out the back. Dog friendly. Food is pub grub (at least the burgers were) and a decent example, but nothing amazing.

Love the cricketers, it’s such a fantastic local and it has just been taken over by the loveliest land lady ever, Lisa. Aaron the old owner was equally lovely in his own way, but we wish Lisa all the luck in the world with her new endeavour and we look forward to helping out when we can. They have a great selection of booze and a really friendly atmosphere and staff. The food is proper pub grub, but done well. This place is not pretending to be anything it’s not. It’s just a great local pub. We look forward to many more visits and lots more fun.

Nice little pub, decent pub grub and fairly priced. Didn't have the 2 things on the menu we wanted but obviously popular! Tried the burger, sausage n mash, and scampi. All really nice. Sausages and burgers good butcher quality. The peroni tasted off so they happily changed it and took it off. Nice bunch of locals who seemed happy to chat. 😊

Seahorse Guildford

Rating: 4.4 (1601) Price Level:

Absolute lovely dining experience. We were served by a young chap with curly hair called Lewis who was very attentive and made sure we were always catered for👍. All the food was delicious so really do try as much as you can. Everytime I think “heavens above” as us old folk like to say, when in fact it's right in front of me on that plate.

Food and atmosphere all ok, as you would expect from a up market chain of restaurants. The staff can make or break a premises and the tall barman, I think his name was Tom certainly helps make the Seahorse a place to return to, professional, attentive and very likeable. On a separate note my wife and daughter were more taken with how good looking he was. Many thanks to all for a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

We had lunch as a large extended family group. The service was excellent and could not have been better. All of the food was delicious and well presented, apart from one main dish that was not great. However, when we informed the staff member who served us, they immediately offered to replace it or give us a free dessert, in the end the cost of the meal was removed from our bill. Overall the dining experience was wonderful, the food was tasty and well presented and the staff were great. We will definitely return and I would definitely recommend The Seahorse.

A tasteful older building with pleasant decor and lighting, and a garden, just outside Guildford on the main road through Shalford. Friendly and helpful staff, though our table was behind a wall, and e found it hard to get their attention at first! Lovely pizza, and a pleasant healthy panzanella salad, though the salad could have been better presented maybe. The main thing I liked was the sense of humour of the staff. And the music was set just right, and not too obtrusive. I visit every few years. Maybe a little bit of decoration necessary to bring the place up to scratch. But generally nice and relaxed, and fairly stylish.

Inn On The Lake Godalming

Ockford Rd, Godalming GU7 1RH, UK | Bar
P: 01483 419997

Rating: 4.3 (1547) Price Level:

Driven past loads of times but never been in before. Pleasantly surprised. It is deceiving big inside with a separate restaurant and bar area. A beautiful garden with pod like structures which must be lovely to use in the summer. It a cold February day so we cozy up in the bar area. Lots of little areas with comfy chairs for just drinks or tables and chairs carefully placed in windows and not too close to other tables. We chose to eat in the bar, the only downside was you had to order yourself at the bar. The bar area was lovely and quiet with a fire roaring in the hearth. A lovely bubbly older lady saw to us and settled us at a window table. She really did add to the ambiance of the place. The service, price and food was really good. We opted for the two course lunch menu and it was really tasty, hot and well presented. In hindsight we chose the bar area to dine and we were pleased with our choice. When we left the restaurant was incredibly busy and the noise levels were certainly higher than the tranquility of our table in the bar. Would we come again? Most definitely.

Lovely pub-restaurant for meeting up with friends and family. Appealing menu. Great atmosphere and although the place was completely full with big parties, food and drinks were served promptly. We had an issue with one of the dishes which was resolved well. Cosy in winter and outside space for summer days. Some areas could do with a lick of paint (doors to loos)

Delightful, traditional pub which a few of us visited on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly landlords and locals made us very welcome and the roast potatoes were about the best i've ever had. Drink and food prices are very reasonable, particularly for this area. The live acoustic performer was excellent and I would highly recommend a visit.

Little scenic spots on the riverside over this old mill. Warm hut with cover seating available, with complimentary blankets and above heaters for chilly nights, small bar inside with all the favourite and popular spirits and some exclusive brands unseen anywhere else. The stag, always features a top notch menu , when passing through the south east we always pop by as we love and enjoy everything the stag offer and the staff are always so kind and welcoming. I stopped here for a romantic meal with my partner. The atmosphere was fantastic - Traditional pub meets unpretentious luxury. The location was stunning, we ate on the bank of the river with the gentle sound of flowing water in the background. The service was prompt, friendly and competent. BUT THE FOOD!.. was truly excellent! We shared the 22oz steak and I can honestly say it was one of the best steaks either of us had ever had. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a special night out or just a relaxing Saturday afternoon with friends. Maximum stars from me 🌟

Very busy and it’s only mid week. So well kept a lot of charm perfect sort of location to propose even the passion for the job and food is evident and I’m working in hospitality myself it would be a dream to end up working here one day tucked down a more residential street you get the privacy vibes before you even step in the door.
