Our Son originally started a year ago (yr 3) to assist with his handwriting but he also has an appetite for learning, especially maths. He went from 'needing improvement' with his handwriting to becoming first in his class to receive a pen licence :-). He still attends weekly as he enjoys coming here and its a great way to stay on top of his learning getting that one on one time that schools just simply cannot provide. I highly recommend I Love to Learn, they work well with the children and keep you constantly updated with their progress which was just what I was looking for.

My husband and I were very pleased that we were given honest feedback by Howard, who was thorough and professional. I highly recommend Love to Learn. Two of my children are receiving maths tuition once a week and have just completed the first term. The goal was for our children to start senior school with as much confidence as possible with their maths skills so they never felt behind others making this transition in their schooling. Howard carried out a rigorous initial assessment to ascertain their starting points, from which the excellent tutor (Grazia) planned a programme to support them specifically at their level. I'm very pleased that after their first session both our children said it was very worthwhile and enjoyable - I didn't anticipate this so was thrilled it was the case. Our children quickly developed their skills and confidence and as a result, achieved very well in their two first term assessments. This was a good confidence boost and has placed them in a good maths set. The tutoring is helpful, supportive, but also challenging which is essential for the children to achieve rapid progress. I would like to extend a massive thank you to Aaron and his team for their support for my children. My girls had not completed the curriculum for Year 3 when they started Year 4, to my shock, when we joined Explore. Their progress had been badly hampered by Covid and schools closing for so many months. A year later one of my girls succeeded in achieving an Academic Scholarship and both girls have just been awarded places in two of the top independent schools in Hampshire. We could not have achieved this without the Explore team's support and hard work to get their learning back where they should be and to rediscover their confidence. My son has been going to Whiteley Explore Learning for more than 2 years now and I could not speak more highly of it. A combination of SEND needs, unsuccessful home schooling during the pandemic and a need for my son to have more 121 support meant that I looked for private tutoring and was recommended Explore. At first my son was reluctant to attend, but now it's his special place and he's very happy to go. The staff are wonderful, incredibly supportive and adapt to his needs. If I find out my son is struggling with a topic at school, I let the team at Explore know and we work as a team to help improve his understanding of the topic, so that he grows in confidence and ultimately ability to tackle the topic. I particularly like the parents meetings, where I get more insight on my son's progress and abilities than I get at school's parents evenings. They can pinpoint which month of which school year your child is working at, which is so much more useful to know. The team at Explore are incredible, so supportive of parents concerns and they get to know all the children really well and create a wonderful learning environment. If you're in any doubt, try it!

My 8 year old daughter lacked confidence in Maths and was not on track at school at the start of the year but she has been doing Kumon now for a few months and her confidence has grown , she is making links in everyday day life ( adding up her pocket money, knowing how much change she will have when buying things ) and we have just had parents evening and she is now on track in Maths at school ! We are so impressed with the improvement she has made in a small space of time! Highly recommend for any child who lacks confidence and needs an extra boost. It is little and often only takes my daughter 10minutes a day so not overwhelming and always tailored to her ability!

Everyday kumon practice has make a huge improvement to my son. His school teachers are very happy with his work on math. He goes to year 2 but he could able to do higher than his level.

My two daughters have been doing Kumon maths with Jan in Fareham for 4 years, since they were in reception year. It has massively helped both of them excel at school in every subject. The mental maths and the muscle memory they gain from doing Kumon has given them the ability of getting work done precisely in a short time. It has also given them the discipline they sometimes need. Jan and Angela are amazing. My girls love seeing them in the class. My daughter once said to me Jan is so good at teaching. My son has joined Kumon 2 month ago. I am really happy with his progress so far. He is currently working on the Kumon connect App on the tab. This App is really easy to use, feedback comes almost every day after the sheets are submitted. We don't need to wait for the feedback till the next class. Definitely recommend the App over the paper pack. It is a different way of self learning with discipline I have never experienced before. Thanks to Jan and her team in Portchester.

We have been so pleased with the English tutoring our son Sam received from Gavin. Thanks to Nicki and Gavin. It gave Sam just the extra boost and confidence he needed to make the improvements at a critical time and reach his potential . Whilst he was always a very able learner in most subjects we felt that his school wasn't quite able to support him enough with his English. Having an experienced male teacher seemed to also be a help to Sam and we are all so pleased with his GCSE results. In fact he progressed up 4 grades from one of his mock results with just a bit of help from Gavin.

A huge thank you to Nikki for helping our son achieve success in passing his 11+ exam this January. She spent time really getting to understand where his individual weaknesses were and giving him personally-tailored strategies to overcome them. This enabled him to tackle comprehension and writing exercises which he would struggle with even starting before. Her knowledge in verbal and non-verbal question types and the best strategies to adopt in answering these were also invaluable. Our son was struggling with maths at school and it was just a few months before his GCSE's when we decided to send him to 'I love to learn' (as recommended by a friend) I had concerns that we'd left it too late, but thanks to Howard and his team, our son quickly gained confidence in areas of maths he'd previously given up on at school. Jan has been absolutely fantastic and finally my daughter at nearly 13 years old has been diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Jan worked with my daughter for 4 hours over two days and conducted the relevant testing. Jan explained everything thoroughly and clearly and both myself and my daughter were at ease the whole time. We have been lucky to find Jan and I am so happy that now we have answers. Without the help from Jan my daughter would not be diagnosed as unfortunately the schools don’t seem to do this so well. 1 year ago my daughter was so far behind in her maths and english i thought i needed a miracle after help at her school was turned down i didnt no where to turn until i found kip on the internet. I didnt no what to expect so was very surprised to find my daughter loved it and for a very shy person that was amazing i knew then i had done the right thing. she has been attended kip since july 2012 and it has been the best thing i ever did she has gone from a very unsure, and shy person to someone who cant wait till her next lesson she has improved so much way above my expectations and will continue to go here for a very long time. She really could not have done it without all the help and support they offered.
