Allison and the other tutors are very pleasant and genuinely care about their students. They focused entirely on each child’s individual needs, ensuring they received the right support to thrive. My son has been attending the GCSE maths drop in sessions since the beginning of year 11. I only wish he had started in year 10! We added an extra 1 to 1 session in the run up to the GCSEs for an extra boost. Issac and Sean are fantastic teachers. My son has improved so much. Kumon has proved invaluable for both our children, especially during this pandemic. It ensured the kids kept learning everyday. Our youngest is in year 6 and thanks to his progress in both maths and English, goes into senior school with the confidence he needs, as he is currently 2 years above where he needs to be in the curriculum. Our eldest is in year 9 and in his words ' I would have fallen behind without the help of Kumon while we were learning from home'. As parents, you need to also put the effort in, but the rewards really do speak for themselves. Chen and the Kumon Team are always there for us and willing to help. It really is one of the best investments you can make for forwarding your children's education.

I had a very positive experience at Winchester Kumon Centre, both as a Kumon student (throughout my primary and secondary school years) and later as an assistant working at the centre. The Kumon method helped me to develop specific maths and literacy skills, but also enabled me to develop independent study skills and a positive approach to learning. Working at the centre was also a valuable experience, and I enjoyed working as part of a friendly and competent team. I would definitely recommend the centre for students of any age or ability who want to pursue their personal learning goals.

Kumon has been a great investment into my children's (11 and 13) education over the last 2 years and Chen and the Kumon Winchester team provide exceptional service. We have been doing Maths and English and both children are now 1.5-2 years ahead of the school curriculum and very confident self-learners. The added benefit of English is the rich and diverse content they get to read and work with that expands their view of their knowledge on a daily basis. Since my son (now in year 6) started tuition sessions with Marie six month ago, I have noticed a good improvement in his school work. He is now achieving much better on the subjects covered (Maths abd English). His last year end report showed a good deal of improvement. My son enjoys the tuition sessions as Marie engages him very well and keeps the sessions interactive. Marie is an excellent communicator, always providing me with necessary updates and changes. Marie has been great at tutoring English to my son. She manages to change the pace to keep him interested throughout each session, which is a challenge when he's not engaged in learning, and this is over a zoom lesson too. The different games and apps used are good fun and keep the interest going. Marie has also been great at switching tools to use when we discovered my son's new Chromebook didn't do all the expected things with zoom anymore. I highly recommend Marie for your tutoring needs, no matter where you are located ☺️

I’m not a native English speaker so I wasn’t confident to speak with people around me. I was worried about this. However, Marie is doing great things to help me improve my English speaking, reading and writing skills. She is a fantastic and very talented tutor. I definitely enjoy my online lessons twice a week with a friendly and supportive teacher who gives me useful advice and tips for dealing with specific English expressions. It’s funny, but I’ve never had a lot of them in my vocabulary. She always knows how to explain whatever I need for better understanding. I’m absolutely relaxed and comfortable during my lessons. I very much appreciate that I have helpful classes with such a lovely person as Marie.

Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. In hindsight, my approach to learning German lacked structure. Having tried several tutors, all of whom never managed to instil confidence in my speaking ability, I soon felt dejected. That all changed when I started with Borderless Tutoring. Alla is very good at pinpointing areas that I find tricky. When things just do not sink in, she always creatively finds ways to help me grasp the idea.
