I had a very positive experience at Winchester Kumon Centre, both as a Kumon student (throughout my primary and secondary school years) and later as an assistant working at the centre. The Kumon method helped me to develop specific maths and literacy skills, but also enabled me to develop independent study skills and a positive approach to learning. Working at the centre was also a valuable experience, and I enjoyed working as part of a friendly and competent team. I would definitely recommend the centre for students of any age or ability who want to pursue their personal learning goals.

Kumon has been a great investment into my children's (11 and 13) education over the last 2 years and Chen and the Kumon Winchester team provide exceptional service. We have been doing Maths and English and both children are now 1.5-2 years ahead of the school curriculum and very confident self-learners. The added benefit of English is the rich and diverse content they get to read and work with that expands their view of their knowledge on a daily basis. Through the pandemic Kumon provided the much needed stability in learning and the organisation of online lessons was exceptional, much better than school lessons. To this day, I appreciate the amount of data and insights we are provided about the children's progress and how exceptionally well-organised the study centres, events and communication are.

Kumon has proved invaluable for both our children, especially during this pandemic. It ensured the kids kept learning everyday. Our youngest is in year 6 and thanks to his progress in both maths and English, goes into senior school with the confidence he needs, as he is currently 2 years above where he needs to be in the curriculum. Our eldest is in year 9 and in his words ' I would have fallen behind without the help of Kumon while we were learning from home'. As parents, you need to also put the effort in, but the rewards really do speak for themselves. Chen and the Kumon Team are always there for us and willing to help. It really is one of the best investments you can make for forwarding your children's education.

I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Furthermore, when we answered long question types we would use an interactive whiteboard to answer the questions, and he would regularly check our work and provide areas of improvement for our answers. In hindsight, my approach to learning German lacked structure. Having tried several tutors, all of whom never managed to instil confidence in my speaking ability, I soon felt dejected. That all changed when I started with Borderless Tutoring. Alla is very good at pinpointing areas that I find tricky. When things just do not sink in, she always creatively finds ways to help me grasp the idea. Her lessons are really well-thought-out and they have a clear direction - I can see each session nicely building on the previous one. Most importantly though, her lessons are fun! Already, my speaking has come on by leaps and bounds, and I feel her rigorous approach to grammar is certainly paying off. Tash, at Teatime Tutors, was tutoring and following up our 10-yr daughter for the past couple of years and she was of absolute great help, showing learning techniques and resilience to our daughter. Adolf is truly an amazing maths tutor. His cool, calm and gentle manner has really helped my sons mathematical competence. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again.
