The best tutor! I couldn’t recommend Andrew enough as a tutor. He helped me get through my second year of A level Biology. Thanks to him I was able to get the grade I needed to study Biomedical science at University. I couldn’t have done it without him! He is so patient, supportive and has amazing techniques to help students remember the content. During the sessions it was a very safe space where I felt comfortable to ask as many questions as I wanted. After each session I felt more confident and sure in my knowledge. He also supplied countless past papers for me and a revision timetable closer to exams, which was so incredibly helpful. He is truly amazing at what he does and the perfect tutor!

After a ‘not great’ first year of A level Biology at college ending with an E grade we found Andrew. Andrew was a great teacher, explained everything well in a relaxed manor that made my daughter feel not only comfortable but she also enjoyed her sessions. Andrew is a superb A Level biology tutor. He has an excellent knowledge of the Eduqas syllabus. My son always found his tutorials extremely helpful as Andrew was able to explain the tricky curriculum content in a way he was able to understood. I had a very positive experience at Winchester Kumon Centre, both as a Kumon student (throughout my primary and secondary school years) and later as an assistant working at the centre. The Kumon method helped me to develop specific maths and literacy skills, but also enabled me to develop independent study skills and a positive approach to learning. Working at the centre was also a valuable experience, and I enjoyed working as part of a friendly and competent team. I would definitely recommend the centre for students of any age or ability who want to pursue their personal learning goals.

Kumon has been a great investment into my children's (11 and 13) education over the last 2 years and Chen and the Kumon Winchester team provide exceptional service. We have been doing Maths and English and both children are now 1.5-2 years ahead of the school curriculum and very confident self-learners. The added benefit of English is the rich and diverse content they get to read and work with that expands their view of their knowledge on a daily basis. Through the pandemic Kumon provided the much needed stability in learning and the organisation of online lessons was exceptional, much better than school lessons. To this day, I appreciate the amount of data and insights we are provided about the children's progress and how exceptionally well-organised the study centres, events and communication are.

My daughter has only done 4 sessions and has achieved a great mark in her end of year Maths exam which we are delighted with, as it sets her up to have a confident start after the summer holidays in the next year. Kip McGrath is worth every penny in giving confidence and exam skills. My son also attended a couple of years ago for his Maths GCSE and I am certain would not have passed without the training he had here. A very clever and expensive private tutor for 2 years did not help him as much as Kip McGrath did. Highly recommended.

Myself and my partner have been taking lessons through Chris Polatch for around 18 months now and we find them to be both professional and friendly. Clare has been very helpful and is always quick to answer any emails. Our tutor Paty, is amazing. She makes each lesson interesting and fun with just the right amount of difficultly to progress quickly without feeling overwhelmed. As a result, we have both just passed our international GCSE with a grade 8 and are extremely happy. I relocated back to the UK and really struggled to find a Mandarin tutor for my daughter until I came across Chris Polatch Language Courses. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly.
