I have been having lessons with Hugo for the past 9 months. He is helpful and patient. He is a good assessor & teacher. He will guide one according to their ability & ensures that one has grasp of the grammar and vocabulary to speak and understand the language. I would personally recommend him to anyone as a teacher & as a person.

I think Hugo is very understanding and helpful. He will help you with anything you want, or suggest what he thinks is the best way for you. Because he does the lessons on Whatsapp Audio, it is free for all to use, and he can work from anywhere - and you can be anywhere. He is very accommodating and kind.

I have had classes with Hugo since 2015. He’s an excellent teacher both in person and online. He’s developed my understanding of grammar, vocabulary and Spain more generally. I’ve progressed so much with his support. I still enjoy my weekly class, it’s taken me way past what I could achieve with only Duolingo

Hugo has been brilliant for me to practice and improve my Spanish, particularly with conversation. I found apps could only do so much on that front and Hugo has boosted my confidence as well as given me lots of coloquial phrases to use. He patiently (and speedily) writes out everything I’ve said as we go along and makes corrections to the text so I can see my mistakes without interrupting the flow of conversation. I would highly recommend Hugo for whatever level you are at in Spanish.

I've been having online Spanish conversation classes with Hugo since 2020 and I find his method of teaching is excellent, as our entire conversation is transcribed and corrected, which allows me to review what I said correctly and then learn from the corrections. Hugo is flexible in his approach, so if something in particular needs attention or is of special interest, we concentrate on that. I would highly recommend Hugo as a Spanish teacher
