The Tutor Surgery offers great tutoring. My daughter enjoyed her lessons and felt always reassured and safe in the hands of her tutor. She was quite nervous before hand because of previous bad experiences but Avie was wonderful and very kind and encouraging. We had a goal of passing her secondary school entrance exam and she did very well gaining her place and now doing extremely well in class after this great start. I definitely felt the lessons gave her a big head start.

My 8 year old daughter had started piano lessons with Alex since end of September and has done incredibly well. Avie has been a great tutor for my son. She brings a wealth of experience to her teaching, which has made a real difference. She identifies areas he struggles with and focuses on these effectively. Her clear and direct communication has also been a key part of this improvement. We appreciate her help in making learning easier and more enjoyable for him.

My five year old daughter has been attending a weekly piano lesson with Alex for several months and really enjoys each session. She had previously never played piano but her initial basic interest has turned into a genuine and progressing skill from which she is continuing to develop both in confidence and ability. Alex's teaching method is extremely effective and enjoyable through practical piano playing and also fun written theory work. It is a great experience for her to be able to play a real piano during her lesson - with practice carried out at home on her battery operated one. Every minute of the lesson is productive and 'home work' and practice work is provided and essential for continued learning until the next lesson. The results now are that my daughter is in the basic stages of learning to read music and is able to play many basic songs and nursery rhymes by heart. She is also developing 'an ear' for what is right and wrong through Alex's expert guidance. The lessons are in a nice homely environment in a quiet location with ample parking. I have been very impressed throughout the the year and look forward to seeing the development of my daughters piano playing with Alex.

Alex takes step by step approach to improve the understanding and concept of the subject, then he allocates sufficient homework for exercise and followup review is done each week. He provides regular feedback on progress. My son has made good progress in science and would recommend him for others who struggle with complexity.
