Tutor Doctor were very quick and efficient in matching my daughter with an English Literature tutor at a time/day that suits us. The tutor structures her lessons to suit my daughters requirements and provides regular feedback. We are very happy with Tutor Doctor and my daughters tutor, Ivana.

I used Tutor Doctor to help my daughter with her A-level chemistry. She needed to improve her grade with just 6 weeks to go until her mock exams. She had 9 hours of tuition and managed to get her grade from E/D up to a B which she was really pleased about. We will use this again next year as her final exams approach. Would definitely recommend

We are very happy with the tuition our daughter got from Richard last year. His lessons are tailored to every child's need; increasing in difficulty as the child progresses. Richard will spend extra time with a particular child if he/she needs extra help. Towards the end, the homework our daughter would get from Richard got harder, therefore our daughter found grammar school test not as hard and passed it easily. Alison at Jurassic Coast Tutoring was just brilliant. It was a last minute request for tutoring only 10 weeks before her exams and Alison managed to fit my daughter in at a suitable time. Alison made my daughter feel at ease, checked in on her prior to each lesson, provided suitable and relevant materials for her to practice throughout the week (as requested by me!) and my Daughter passed! I can’t recommend Matt more highly. We signed up for maths tutoring with Matt fairly late in the year, with only about 6 weeks until the exams were to begin; mainly because our son was really struggling with confidence about his maths. The pressure to pass was making revision seem totally overwhelming. Matt was such a fantastic tutor. Not only did he help to make sense of the areas of maths which were a struggle, but he also subtly coached our son to have a positive mindset. Having been hugely reluctant to begin his tutoring, he very quickly looked forward to the sessions and came away like a different person - much less stressed, and confident to tackle his exams. We first came across Marta/Somerset Private Tutor when my Son was in Year 9 and struggling to access mainstream education due to Autism/Anxiety/School related Anxiety etc. We started off using Marta to help support my Son with missed lessons. Two and a half years later and my son has just completed GCSEs having been homeschooled for the last two years. Marta has educated him in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Without Marta's expert help we would not have got there. The level of service is superb and Marta was able to make adaptations to support my Son's individual requirements. The level of communication has been brilliant. The service is flexible to accommodate the individual child. We also had the added advantage that my Son's education was not disrupted during the Covid lockdowns as on-line lessons continued as normal. I am so pleased with how this has turned out for my son.

Marta tutors me in maths and science at GCSE level. I have M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and have been ill for over 3 years, this means I am unable to access mainstream education or medical tuition. Marta is brilliant at adapting to my changing health, she is able to teach her lessons in a way that I am able to remember the information. She has many techniques to help me achieve this, for example using coloured pens. She never gets exasperated even when I ask the same question many times, and will continue to explain it until I understand and am able to retain the information. Also she is very understanding even if I can’t always manage the homework due to my poor health. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions and learn a lot. I can’t recommend Marta enough, and she is especially brilliant if you have any extra needs.

Marta has been really beneficial to my son in the past 3 years, we started with Marta when my son was in Year 9, he is now in the midst of his GCSE's and asking me to book extras lessons. He has improved so much that he is now doing the higher level Maths paper. Marta is incredible she is very patience, happy to go over things several time and provide extra lessons. I would highly recommend anyone using her. My youngest son starts in September.

Marta is a truly wonderful tutor for children of all abilities. My son is profoundly dyslexic and was struggling with numeracy. Marta has helped him to realise that maths can be fun and numbers are nothing to be afraid of. She has a unique way of teaching to a child's specific needs which enables them to engage and enjoy the subject. With her wealth of knowledge of the education system she has been a great support in helping us get our son the help he so badly needs.

Jane tutored both my sons from years 4-6 and I would highly recommend her. She is calm, professional & organised and excelled in developing the boys’ confidence. Jane has tutored 2 of my children for the 11+ grammar school exams and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Both of my children lacked confidence in their ability and Jane made the lessons fun and something they both looked forward to. When it came to the exams both children were excited to be able to show what they could achieve - she taught them how to cope with the pressure, exam techniques as well as helping to strengthen their ability in math and english - both sailed through the 11+ and have continued to do well after such a fantastic grounding. My child was 2 years behind in maths at school. We had never heard of Kumon but an educational psychologist recommended trying it. Since starting we have not looked back. Just over 1 year later school have noticed a huge improvement and now mark my child as working at the level in maths. Our child’s confidence has improved as a result. The Kumon system works by doing a small amount everyday and gradually builds incrementally upon the maths skills they are secure in. We need to support our child with the books but becomes part of routine about 20 - 30 minutes each day. The twice a week lessons keep us on track and we can ask for help if we are getting stuck on anything at these. The tutors are great and take the time to explain to us how they teach concepts so we give the same messaging at home. The lessons and course continue over the holidays which has really helped our child to catch up. We are so pleased we have now started the English tutoring in addition. This is supporting our child being secure in fundamentals of English. Thank you we are so lucky to have found you !
