Poppy has been working with my daughter who is ‘educated other than at school’ for 2 years now. Poppy makes lessons fun and engaging but also takes the time to really understand her students as individual learners. She can teach literally any subject, is reliable but most importantly, Poppy is incredibly patient and kind. We are now ready to sit exams - this wouldn’t have been possible without her support.

Poppy offers fantastic tuition. She is reliable, friendly and creative in her teaching approach to get the best out of your child. She supported my daughter, who has moderate dyslexia, through her English GCSE’s in year 11, and as a result of her highly personalised approach, my daughter went up 4 grades. The benefits of Poppy’s teaching were also seen in many of the other subjects that my daughter studied because she was able to help my daughter develop strategies in her approach to reading, comprehension and writing and we saw her confidence develop beyond recognition. When you have a learning difference, it’s not just about the effect on education, it is also about self-esteem. I cannot thank Poppy enough for helping my daughter to realise that she can be a high achiever and a confident learner. Poppy’s approach means that my daughter has a very manageable ‘learning difference’ and no longer a ‘learning disability.’

Poppy has literally changed my daughters life in Maths, before Poppy she had very little confidence in her own ability and was really struggling. As the subject has changed so much since I was at school, I too was struggling to help. Poppy tailors her tutoring style to meet her needs, and my daughter looks forward to her Marhs tutor session. We are very happy with the tuition our daughter got from Richard last year. His lessons are tailored to every child's need; increasing in difficulty as the child progresses. Richard will spend extra time with a particular child if he/she needs extra help. Towards the end, the homework our daughter would get from Richard got harder, therefore our daughter found grammar school test not as hard and passed it easily. Amelia has been helping me prepare for university Maths for the past year and a half. She has been extremely helpful in teaching me so much that my school never taught and my understanding of Maths is at a significantly higher level because of it. From the moment we first met Sophie we knew instantly we found the right tutor. Approachable. Kind. Understanding. My daughter couldnt stop saying how wonderful she was. Ive never seen her so excited to learn but i think thats because Sophie treats every child as an individual and meets their needs. Giving them the confidence to then thrive. I wish all teachers were like Sophie within schools because children would feel comfortable and happy and want to learn. Sophie is always on hand to help or offer advice outside of our sessions too.
