Great practice, I needed an urgent appointment and this was arranged without any fuss. To my surprise the practice opens at 06:30 so it's great for commuters as it's conveniently located near the station. The appointment itself was thorough, informative, and carried out by some members of staff who are clearly passionate about what they do! I can get a bit anxious about things but I wasn't rushed and the doctor addressed every concern I had. Overall, I'm very pleased and if you are considering this practice do not hesitate to give them a call.

I have recently moved over to DR ARTUR GRABOWSKI. I had one filling back in November and a Molar Extraction last week..I have to say both occasions have been the most pleasant, thoughtful and caring dental experiences I have had for Many years...the only pain on both occasions was the initial injection..Thank you Artur

Not being a fan of the dentist since a terrible experience at an early age, I’ve always had a terrible fear. Nick and the team are amazing. Nick is kind and has the patience of a saint. He’s direct and he talks you through everything you need to know with no fluff and fuss. Thank you for making it easy to be less nervous and give me the ability to (almost) look forward to my visits. I may live miles away but I will always be happy to travel for my appointments with you.

Have just visited St James Dental Practice after a very long time away and it was polite and friendly as it has always been. Also, it was the very first time we would be meeting our new dentist, and what a charming person. I am not a great fan of having to “open wide” and do suffer slight panic attacks, but he was warm and kind and made me feel at ease. So a BIG thank you to all at the practice…

I’m new to St James and have only been twice after having seen a private dentist during Covid Times as no one would take on new patients. I had called St James some time last year, wanting to ask how long the waitlist was for new patients and was pleasantly surprised when I heard that there wasn’t really one and that I could be seen shortly after I called. Visiting any dentist always makes me feel nervous but even though I’m only new here, I’ve felt very welcome and well looked after each time, with the dentist and nurse ensuring I’m ok and explaining everything as they went along. To me, this means a lot and makes me feel more at ease.

I attended the practice after registering with mina. Overall service was fantastic. The reception were super friendly and welcoming, especially for a nervous patient like me. Mina was super, very thorough but gentle and explained things in a way easy to understand. Would definitely recommend.

I can highly recommend Mr Larcombe as an excellent dentist. He is kind and gentle and has created a very good denture for me. I have been with the Practice for over thirty years. There are also excellent Hygienists to care for teeth.

Highly recommended if you are looking for an alternative to the increasingly long wait for dental care in the UK. I was able to book a new patient appointment easily and within 10 days. Upon arrival I was promptly welcomed by the friendly reception team then guided to the comfortable and warm waiting room. The quality of care when in the chair was far better than I've experienced with the NHS, my session with Steve Larcombe was relaxed yet highly professional and without any discomfort. I was able to book my follow up appointments the following month. Overall very impressed with my visit.

I arrived as a new patient to see Steve Larcombe who came highly recommended by my husband who had some recent implants done . My previous dentist whom I’d been with for 35years recently retired. I felt a little nervous but soon felt at ease with the lovely staff they have onboard. A front tooth next to a crown that I’ve had for a number of years was rather discolored and Steve managed to match a composite filling to the tooth and I came away from my first session at the practice over the moon with my treatment.

the filling on a lower molar came out recently. i have a crown with the filling on top. years ago i had my root canal treated by my dentist in hong kong. i went to see dr nathan flizer yesterday. he promptly put the filling back for me. he advised me to go back in 4 weeks time. unfortunately when i eat the molar was not working so good. this morning i callled the clinic. i was promptly given an appointment to see dr hammid. at 9.30. i was late cos i missed the bus. by the timei met dr hammid he had already efficiently retrieved my record n X ray. he definitely is very experienced n professional. he took an X ray n explained thoroughly to me that the underlying cause of my discomfort is something to do with the fact that i m having a dead molar. it could not stand pressure caused by action of the adjacent teeth. so contrary to what my crown is fine. he prescribed a course of antibiotics, for he saw some blurred dark showdow at the botoom of the canal. he made some adjustments to the upper molar with his tool to lessen the pressure on my lower molar. hooefully, this will resolve my concern. thanks dr hammid for your thorough explanation n efficient good work. Hopefully, that would solve my issues. the price is reasonable.

Had a cracked tooth and an old filling and in need of some dental work. Had never been to this practice before, but as I worked in the area I was able to get a last minute appointment and had my tooth fixed. Nathan and Leanne did a great job. Kept me at ease the whole time and it was a fair price for the work carried out. Friendly team and a quick service. Highly recommend!

My daughters and I see Alice Fleming at chesil. She is absolutely brilliant. So professional, kind and warm - you feel totally at ease with her. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr Kit Spears and his team provide a top quality professional dental implant service. Dr Spears is technically deft and precise, uses the latest equipment, and all his procedures were carefully and competently executed.He communicated well with me throughout and was always well prepared for each appointment. I felt reassured that I was in expert hands from start to finish.Highly recommended and a real asset to the practice.

Following the failure of a previous implant I consulted with Dr Spears and decided to go ahead with another attempt to implant a new front tooth. The process took approx 5 months in total with 6 visits to the 'couch' and apart from a slight problem just after the tooth was finally fitted all went well. Excellent care and attention to detail was the corner stone of Dr Spears work and very much appreciated by me. I would recommend his work to anyone considering private dental treatment. I am very nervous about attending the dentist but in just 3 visits Vanessa Mata who is now my dentist has taken me from a crying wreck in her chair on the first visit to being able to have 4 fillings in a visit with no stress or worries at all, she's an absolute miracle worker , first time in years I've not worried about attending the dentist. We joined Oliver’s Battery dental surgery at the beginning of the year and we cannot fault their practice at all. They have shown so much care and patience towards my two children. My son who once was anxious of our previous dentist now looks forward to seeing his dentist and says ‘I love my dentist!’. Even when my son had an emergency appointment regarding his teeth after an accident, they provided him with so much care and comfort. Also, not forgetting the amazing ladies on the reception who are so supportive, helpful and kind. I cannot recommend this dental surgery enough!

The reception staff at this practice are always welcoming and helpful, particularly when an emergency arises. The hygienist, dentists and nurses are gentle and very thorough. I think Dr Mohammad is particularly good as last year he extracted a bad tooth and just recently carried out a root canal filling for me. In both cases he showed great skill and made sure I felt no pain whatsoever. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough!

I have been a patient of this dental practice for a number of yrs and always been super impressed, however I felt I needed to write a review today to highlight the most wonderful staff! I have a complete fear of the dentist and attending is itself quite an ordeal for me, even talking on the phone about an appointment. Kylie is the most wonderful asset to the practice, truly fantastic! Calm, kind and so reassuring, thank you. I visited the surgery today and recognised her voice on reception-and had to say thank you to her. My dentist Mo, and wonderful nurse, Fortunate have worked so hard to help me and my nerves-when I arrived today Jeannette was the dental nurse instead which really threw me, but I needn’t have worried-she was so kind and patient with me. Mo is one in a million-he is so mindful of my concerns and reassures me constantly. Thank you OBDS for being outstanding, I left today and once again booked my next appt which is a HUGE step for me-eternally grateful to you all.

Everybody at the practice is friendly. All my dental work has been excellent. The surgery decor and equipment is basic but that doesn't make a difference to my teeth so I'm OK with that.

Dr. Ioana Felecan and the nurse Tina are simply amazing. I’ve been trying to find a good dentist in Hampshire for months now. Ioana gave me two fillings and both look immaculate. Ioana is super friendly, professional and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. Finally found a dentist I can truly trust. Will be back to start Invisalign and cannot wait. Highly recommend.

Excellent dental practice. I had a severe dental emergency and was referred by NHS 111. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I had previous bad experiences with a dentist which left me fearful and stressed at the thought of going to the dentist. Upon entering the practice, I was impressed at how professional it looked. The reception team were very friendly and helpful, and put me at ease. They really cared, and made a super impression on me. I saw the dentist within minutes of arriving, and she listened to me explain what I had been through with the infected tooth. She explained the options to me in a professional warm way. I chose to have the tooth extracted. She explained that there would be an expert dentist available on Friday to do the extractions. So I booked an appointment to come back to see this dentist, Huma. On arriving for the extraction, I met Huma, and found her super warm and kind, so unlike any dentist I have ever met so far. She was so kind, gentle, professional. She was an expert at dealing with a nervous traumatised patient like me. She was really switched on to how I was feeling, and kept giving me breaks in the treatment. Incredibly Huma got the tooth out in minutes, which surprised me. I had been told by my previous dentist that it was a very complicated extraction and that I would need a surgical extraction. Huma took one look at it and told me it would be "easy", and it was for her! I am so relieved that I found this wonderful practice, and I have now registered as a private patient and it is the only dental practice I will go to from now on. Thanks for a great experience and an end to my pain Bupa, Southgate St in Winchester. The only thing to mention is that there is no parking nearby. I parked at Tower Street multistory and it was a 10 minute walk to the practice.

I have been a customer here for many years. The atmosphere is calm and reassuring, and the care is efficient. I can only imagine that the recent low scoring reviews are because of delays due to COVID, because I have never had the problems they mention.
