Excellent job carried out by Craig to create a throughway from one loft to another to gain access. Advice was professional and an awkward job was completed promptly. I would highly recommend Lewis Edward Carpentry and won’t hesitate contacting them again when a need arises.

The experience from start to finish has been fantastic! I was given a really reasonable quote, and though additional costs were added (due to extra work which needed to be carried out) these were also really reasonably priced and I was kept well informed about it before the work was carried out. I'd also discovered what can only be described as a nightmare of hidden pipework under the old larder (before work was due to be carried out), and though my own worries about this caused delays with the work starting, Lewis was really supportive in addressing this and was really quick to respond to all of my concerns. Garath fitted my new cabinets, moved my extractor fan/boxing, replaced my windowsill and also worked on a few extra areas in the kitchen and I'm honestly impressed with how good it all looks! All his work has been topnotch and throughout the process he was always polite and took the trouble to answer any questions I had. Work was also finished really quickly which was a bonus! My thanks to you both - can't recommend highly enough!

Gareth who works for Lewis is fantastic and the workmanship in fitting our kitchen has been incredible. There has been a lot of pride taken in making everything top Notch. Hard working, well priced and tidy too! I would recommend without any reservations and would certainly come back to Lewis Edwards Carpentry for any future work.

Lewis advised and replaced the bannisters on our stairs. He did a great job and was polite and courteous. I will be using his services again…. And I did, this time to replace all our internal doors with oak ones. Craig and Garath did an amazing job; they were really friendly and polite and left no mess.

Mark has been a breath of fresh air to work with. Arrived as promised and his eye for detail is amazing. He has completed the stairs to a fantastic level of we couldnt be happier. We would definitely ask him to quote if we need any further work in the future.

Mark came to refurb our staircase and has done an excellent job! Took care and tried to work us as we have toddler who naps. Explained the job as he went along and cleaned up along the way. I would highly recommend Mark!

Mark came and refurbished our banister. When he came to assess the job he discussed style and materials with us to ensure he knew what we envisaged for our home. We agreed a date for the work. He let us know traffic was making him a few minutes late arriving. He coped magnificently with the uneven wall and woodwork which the house builder had left us. The resulting job looks very good. He put down covers and cleaned up after working. We would definitely recommend Mark.

Booked Mark to fit 4 internal doors after he did such a great job fitting a kitchen worktop for us. Mark arrived on the day agreed, on time. Measured the individual frames (all different sizes!), removed the old doors, cut the doors to size, fitted the door handles & added an additional hinge for each door. During his visit, Mark was friendly, professional & tidied up after he'd finished the job. He cut the old doors in half to make it easier for me to dispose of them. And he took away some wood that needed to be edged / bevelled as he didn't have the tools woth him and returned it a couple of days later which I will be making into a table. New doors look great (still need to be painted though) & fit perfectly. Another great job by Mark. Again, woud happily recommend Mark for your woodwork needs. Thanks Mark.

Brett built a bespoke pottery studio for us and we are really pleased. It was a slightly awkward space but he understood what we wanted and gave us the best design and quote. His workmanship is a great standard and he was accommodating when we made changes along the way. Neat and tidy, helpful and professional. Definitely recommend

BM Carpentry and Building did some work do or me recently (Sept 2023) at my house, to repair and replace some rotten woodwork around my French door and adjacent windows. Brett and Wes did a great job. They came out and discussed it in detail with me first, then subsequently came out and completed the job in a single day. The work done was of good quality, at a fair price and they left things clean and tidy. I had used their services previously once before, a couple of years ago on a bigger job when I was having my house re-roofed and had the same very positive experience then. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend BM Carpentry and Building!

Brett and Wes recently completed an extension on our home. They were precessional, reliable and extremely trustworthy. It was a pleasure to have them working in our home. The quality of their work is always to an exceptionally high standard. They made the whole renovation process stress free for us. We have used them in the past and will 100% use them in the future for the rest of our renovation work.

BM Carpentry and Building recently reconstructed our kitchen, dining room and hallway into a modern spacious kitchen diner, including replacing double glazed rear door and two windows. We are very pleased with the finished spacious room. BM Carpentry and Building employed supporting specialist tradesmen who were also very professional. As a result of the great experience, we are having fury work by them. We would highly recommend them.

Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

Well it’s been nearly a year since Pete and Andy and the team took on my loft conversion. I can say that their professionalism, skill and just hard work finished my project on time to the day !!! Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! For your interest I attach before, during and after photos of their work here in Chandler's Ford We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Marcin and his team done an exceptional job on our recent ground floor project which involved removing an internal wall, moving our boiler, moving a window, removing a door , fitting a kitchen and laying flooring throughout the downstairs. Marcin's communication throughout was excellent and everything went as planned , on budget and on schedule. I was particularly impressed with how our new ideas and design modifications throughout the process were received and implemented, nothing was ever a problem and honest feedback was always exchanged. Lymore Home Improvements (Marcin) remodelled my garden cabin from a workshop to a fully self-contained garden unit with bathroom and 1 bedroom. Marcin was super responsive to my enquiry, offered a site visit and provided a quote within a couple of days. He kept me up to date with all progress and checked relevant milestones and decisions with me. The cabin turned out beautifully - even more stunning than I had expected. Amazing! Marcin renovated my clinic to an extremely high standard. He created my design ideas with no issues at all. Reply’s to messages straight away - which was vital for me as I wasn’t living in the area. They are the cleanest builders I have ever known. Lovely friendly team of workers - highly recommend!

So pleased I made a call to ‘Little Island carpentry’ last year. I hadn’t even looked at the website but I liked the company name….good enough reason! We soon found out that Ross is extremely personable and his work is immaculate. He takes such pride in doing things well and our hall cupboard looked really smart & tidy after he had installed shelving and built housing around the electric meter & fuse box. Recently he went above and beyond when asked to install new kitchen cupboard doors for us….We thought the carcasses would be ok as the apartment is fairly new. However it turned out they were all out of alignment due to initial poor installation. Many others may have covered this up…but not Ross…thankfully! He set to making everything right before fixing the new doors and now we have a brand new kitchen - it’s perfect in every way. Ross never complains and always looks for solutions. His knowledge and commitment to his work is outstanding He is also a genuinely nice person and I cannot recommend him highly enough - you won’t be disappointed.

Ross and Jack built our home ground floor timber frame extension measuring 10m x 8m. They were excellent from start to finish, communication and advice were given throughout and they are returning in October to fit the kitchen. We would recommend them without any reservation.

Mitchell O'born Carpentry did a fantastic job. Fitting very heavy doors upto 50kg with precison lining up the new to old hinge cutouts. 11 doors fitted in total all matching designs but varying in size and weight. He was extremely helpful in the consultation phase and I found him to be very trustworthy, polite and very clean. I'd like to point out his level of craft is top "notch" highly recommended.

Mitch has done a brilliant job of fitting several internal oak doors for us, and a new external door. He is friendly, courteous, tidy and takes great care of our home while he’s working. Wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him.

We have used Lewis for years now for two kitchens, a bathroom and hoping for our staircase and conservatory soon. He goes above and beyond every time. His attention to detail is spot on and he always recommends extra touches which is so helpful. We wouldn’t use anyone else!

Timber Tim recently provided his one of a kind service with creating the decked veranda that we were in big need of, following build works to our home. He made the entire experience from start to finish exceed all of our expectations. Tim as a person is a rare find in the world we live in, and his workmanship is second to none, alongside his understanding of our situation and set up was extraordinarily kind and accommodating. We are beyond happy with what Tim has created and recommend him very, very highly with any timber needs, requirements and potential designs. We cannot thank you enough!

I once walked past Tim’s business and he was making a lovely tree house for some lucky children. My son was needing a cabin bed to make the most of the space he has in his room and whilst I found a few around they were either too tall, too long or too flimsy. I approached Tim and showed him the design I was after but with some tweaks. He arranged a time to come round and measure up, making sure it’d fit and importantly fit up the stairs. We discussed materials and finish, as well as the nice touch of a small shelf for a nightlight, book and water bottle. Tim took the time to go over everything as well as suggesting varnishes etc. When it was ready Tim popped by and assembled it in the morning before my son got home that evening. It’s meant my son can now have his computer in his room for homework and gaming as well as the Xbox. There’s some nice shelves where he can put his books, Warhammer models and various bits and bobs. His desk chair can fit underneath, though he mainly uses his beanbag. You just can’t get that from a shop made cabin bed with the ceiling height he’s got. There’s some cable tidying to do! You can tell Tim loves what he does and takes immense pride in his work. I’m quite envious of him for that. When my son came home he was surprised by it and called me the best dad in the world. So thank you Tim!

I LOVE our new gates!! It’s finished our driveway off perfectly Tim is friendly, reliable and trustworthy; he is honest and comes with huge amounts of experience. We’re so delighted with the bed Tim built for Sophie, it is exactly what we wanted. It’s beautifully designed and constructed. Paul replaced two rotten window cills in out downstairs. Everything was done well and to time and there were no issues. Price is good and work is good. Efficient and accurate and timely. Good job, well done.

We need 5 doors replaced and a new doorway created. Paul removed old the old doors and replaced them with new oak doors. Also created a new door way for the new door and did some repairs to the cabin in our garden. He was always very friendly and helpful throughout with suggestion to overcome some unforeseen problems. Highly recommended.
