I asked Paul to deal with a number of jobs, including repairs to timber sash windows, boarding over an outside doorway, and repairing fencing. I am very pleased with the results. Paul is a lovely man. He always arrived on time and left everything tidy. Price was reasonable too. Highly recommend.

Paul replaced two rotten window cills in out downstairs. Everything was done well and to time and there were no issues. Price is good and work is good. Efficient and accurate and timely. Good job, well done.

Well it’s been nearly a year since Pete and Andy and the team took on my loft conversion. I can say that their professionalism, skill and just hard work finished my project on time to the day !!! Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Their team who completed the electrics and plumbing were also superb. We were very nervous as this was our first project, but Bassett Carpentry exceeded all expectations and did the perfect job. They also installed the kitchen itself, which we love. We are very grateful and actually missed having them around once the extension was complete! Thank you so much.

Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Gareth who works for Lewis is fantastic and the workmanship in fitting our kitchen has been incredible. There has been a lot of pride taken in making everything top Notch. Lewis advised and replaced the bannisters on our stairs. He did a great job and was polite and courteous. I will be using his services again…. And I did, this time to replace all our internal doors with oak ones. Craig and Garath did an amazing job; they were really friendly and polite and left no mess.

Elliot was a fantastic choice for me. I requested for a bispoke product to be made. He made it exactly how I needed it and was very attentative and responsive, keeping me updated - even added extra touches that meant a lot to me! We had Elliot come and fit 12 new oak veneered doors. The quality and the care that Elliot puts into his work is exceptional. He didn’t rush the job and he spent time ensuring that the fit and finish of the hinges and door hardware was spot on. Everyday when finished he left the work area clean and tidy and genuinely cared about the way in which he works. I would 100% recommend Elliot to anyone who would like carpentry work done in their house. A genuinely nice and well mannered guy who is always on time and goes the extra mile. We will be using Elliot again for some new projects that we have in mind.

We employed Elliot to build some bespoke cupboards in the kitchen diner with a book case either side of the fire place and a wine rack built into the fireplace and nice detailed finish. We were delighted with the result The finish was excellent and well worth paying for nice materials and having a skilled person to transform them into something to be proud of. So much so that we had another cupboard built in the porch! Alex fitted a new lock to my door. He also cut and fitted smoke safety strips and a new letterbox. I booked this with Nigel. They both turned up and were polite and punctual. The work was carried out to a high standard in about 90 minutes. I found it difficult to find someone willing to do these tasks but Nigel and Alex were willing to. I strongly recommend them
