Reviews
New hardwood sills, soffit and facia repair, new gutter system with downpipes. Careful, accurate work undertaken as planned. Polite and communicative team. I would highly eecommend.
MPBP refelted and insulated our roof and at the same time installed plastic soffits and facias. Their workmanship is excellent. They are friendly and considerate. We felt our house was in very good hands and very comfortable in having them in and on it.
Excellent service and would use again myself and happy to recommend to others.
Reasonable price supplied for a small project to move a door in an office from one wall to another and to make good and decorate back to original decor. We'll this they accomplished in a timely manner. Quality of their workmanship was unapproachable but what most impressed me was their attention to the finer details. For example, re-carpetting a raised floor section and cleaning all of the windows in the office - neither of these were requested in the original quotation - they just did them because they were clearly proud of their own workmanship.
And that unfortunately is a rare quality to find these days.
Thankyou guys, I heartily recommend you.
Something I don't usually do, but I found MPBP (Mariusz and Bart) through Facebook marketplace. I try to avoid employing people whom I don't have a reference for, but with this type of specialised job (building an Oak bespoke stairs) and the prices I had received at that stage were away over our budget. It turned out that we still had to go over our budget, but I think it was me underestimating the work involved.
Another problem I had with using MPBP was there workshop was over an hour away from our job, and I thought this would be a problem. But hoping to get the bargain of a lifetime I asked them to call to have a look at the job. They called at the scheduled time (they always did) and we went through the work that was required. By the time they were finished I realised why the price other people were charging so much and I knew by the way MPBP were talking with the experience, I knew I wasn't going to get bargain I was hoping for, but I was fairly sure, I was going to get a job done which was of a high quality.
They invited us to their workshop to have a look at a similar stairs they were building at the time. We drove to the workshop the following Saturday and again we were very impressed with the detail they had gone to, to make us feel we were getting a good job done. A few days later we agreed to the spec and a few more days they came back with the price. Even though their price was close to the highest price we were quoted and there fitting date was almost 3 month away, I still felt these people were the correct people for the job.
About a week before they were due to arrive, they rang me to ask me if I was ok if they came a couple of days earlier and I said yes, no problem as I was anxious to get on with the job. After a few hours, I knew I had made the right choice with the people to build and fit our stairs. As we had a few other subbies on site and the stairs being in the centre of the house, you would think they would have found it difficult to work around it, but nothing was a problem. They even suggested changes which added work to themselves to what they quoted just so the stairs would look better and the work 'extra' wasn't even mentioned, not even hints of 'how good we are for doing this which is not included in our price', I got both of those statements lots of times from other subbies. It was very clear to see the finish was as important to them as it was to us, so we never had to check on their work. When they were almost finished the job, they deliberately timed it so that we had a weekend to use the stairs, so that on Monday when they came back, if we had any problem, they could sort it out then, there wasn't any of course!! I know other subbies who would try hard to finish and get paid before the weekend in case you would find a fault.
I have to say, I have worked in a lot of building jobs as a project manager and I'll have to say they were some of the best subbies I have worked with. If you are thinking of using MPBP and you feel their price is higher than another similar quote, just think, it's your getting more, not MPBP!!
MPBP group installed a whole new bathroom for me, new toilet, washbasin, walk-in shower, tiling, underfloor heating.....everything. I was so happy with their work that I hired them again to custom-build three oak wardrobes with inside lights and front mirrors, a bay sash window in my kitchen, and to paint my kitchen and bedroom walls. He also repaired my leaking roof. Everything was top quality. What's more, Mariusz was always punctual, professional and always willing to listen and help. I would recommend him to anyone.
