We have a difficult to make use of small boiler room in our flat. In need of more storage space we got in touch with Solid Carpentry. They did such an excellent job from start to finish. We can now finally store all of our luggage and random things and the room actually feels bigger now. Well done on getting the shelves fitted in such small awkward spaces. Dmitriy and his team are first class. I would highly recommend using Solid Carpentry for any of your requirements. He helped us design the perfect living room and storage in our small porch area. Everything was built to measure in his workshop and brought to our home and fitted in a very efficient manor. We love the final result and his attention to detail is impeccable.

I recently worked with Dimitry and Solid Carpentry to have a built -in wardrobe fitted in my bedroom so I could have more storage space. Dimitry was excellent right from the start - polite, up front about costs, arriving on time, giving me advice and keeping me updated on the job. I gave him a photo to work from and he made the wardrobe look just like it! It was also a really awkward space, the room is slightly on a slope but he made it fit just right. I'd definitely recommend Solid Carpentry to anyone, and I will definitely be using Solid Carpentry again if I need any more carpentry in the future.

Andy did a fabulous job restoring a recently purchased antique chest of drawers. He did a quick and free site visit to assess the piece of furniture and gave an honest evaluation of how it could be restored and what the costs would be. He was able to fit me into his busy schedule because I was anxious about getting the piece fixed. He was prompt and brought all the necessary tools. He walked me through the issues and fully restored the drawers in a timely manner. It wasn’t the most obvious solution, but Andy is knowledgeable, skilled and creative at solving issues. He left the area clean and was tidy during the process. Besides being a skilled carpenter, he is also kind, warm and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Andy is absolutely amazing. I've had him do loads of stuff over the last few years, including building bookcases (he's a trained carpenter), staining my floors (which he made look 1000% times better), painting, and resealing windows. He's extremely reliable and honest, and this is confirmed by a former neighbor who first introduced me to him. He's also very tidy, so you don't even know he was there after the work's done. In short, I highly recommend him!

Andy did a great job with our bath frame and panels. He was kind enough to fit us in on short notice after completing some other work. He was responsive, punctual, worked well and quickly and was a really nice person to work with! Andy also had the benefit of cutting items remotely so was able to keep our bathroom incredibly clean, and was tidy in general. Andy and Rhys did a phenomenal job installing custom panelling in the hallway, landings and a bedroom of our house- see ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos attached. They worked very efficiently and were meticulous in their approach to the job which was not straightforward by any means. We’re super happy with all of the work completed by custom carpentry at our little primary school in Barnet. We required a number of doors to be fitted along with all the framing and a stud wall in one of our classrooms, the attention to detail, quality of work and materials was really impressive and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these guys for any further carpentry work. Bespoke room divider doors We recently had bespoke internal doors made by Andy. We were really impressed with the quality of work and Andy’s attention to detail. The finished product was of a very high standard and Andy spent time ensuring the doors were fitted with precision. His passion for his work was evident, I would recommend his craftsmanship for any joinery requirement.

Andy from Rowan Joinery has done an excellent job on our new wooden double front door. His charges were reasonable. He gave us some of his good ideas and we are very pleased with the finished product. During the process he did all bits and pieces we asked him to do happily. He works very hard and take pride in his work. His good nature and patience made the whole process enjoyable. We would use his services again and recommend him.

We would be very happy to recommend Rowan Joinery. We wanted to divide our through lounge with folding doors. The job was quite complicated, as the archway was curved and decorative, features we wanted to preserve. Andy was extremely painstaking in the planning and installment of the doors. He communicated with us every step of the way and advised us on fittings and door furniture. We are more than happy with the quality of the finished.

I used Rowan Joinery to make three Oak door frames and they look absolutely stunning. Andy has great attention to detail and is a very honest and likeable character. His workmanship is fantastic. He polished our doors also. Our floors were not level and so he suggested some ways of getting round this, which worked out really well. I’m very pleased with his services.

Mauriusz built bespoke wardrobes in our bedroom in January 2025 in Hertfordshire and a record bench in our bay window. His work is fantastic and we are so happy and have received many compliments. M&S Carpentry has done an amazing job for us. From start to finish it has been a pleasure to work with them. I had a clear idea of what I wanted, which was a little unusual because I wanted to hide an en-suite behind wardrobes and have the doors open inwards. I had spoken to a number of firms who had all said they couldn't or didn't want to do it as it was out of the ordinary. M&S Carpentry were great from the start, they got what I wanted to achieve and helped make that vision a reality. They advised on finishes and approach and it was a real team effort. The job was reasonably priced and they were able to meet my quite quick timetable with ease. The job was delivered on time and on budget and the quality and attention to detail is exceptional. I could not be more happy with the end product. It is exactly as I imagined and I am thrilled with it. We were delighted with the fitted wardrobes that Mariusz in our bedroom. He listened to what we wanted and made some really good suggestions that greatly improved the whole look of the wardrobes. They are beautiful and every time I enter the bedroom they make me smile. We then asked Mariusz to fit units either side of our fireplace so that we had storage space but within a setting that improved the look of our living room/dinning area. Again, he came to the house, listened to all the ideas that we had and suggested some of his own, which made for beautifully designed cabinets that are a feature of our living room and are greatly admired by friends and family. We absolutely love them. My husband and I would highly recommended this company, the men were hardworking, polite and after both installations our home was left spotlessly clean.
