I live in Eastbourne, my son lives opposite this garage. Last year I was quoted almost £70 more from Halfords - Lottbridge Drive/EB, to have the wheel nuts on my Citreon C1 removed, they were stuck hard. So I asked Red Oak to do it. I was advised by Halfords about 6 weeks ago (same Halfords) that I needed a new Starter Motor, following a Battery test. I spoke to Red Oak over the phone and was told they would test the car to make a diagnosis, their quote for a new Starter Motor was £80 cheaper than Halfords. I took it in to Red Oak yesterday. The thing is, the Mechanic told me that my car is behaving exactly as it should, that neither the Battery nor the Starter Motor needed changing! He merely advised I try to give it a good long run now and again. I rarely use my car, only when I visit my son, about 2 monthly. Yet Halfords would have fitted a new Starter Motor and charged me a fortune. I am so impressed with Red Oak garage, not only this excellent service but they checked all the levels in my car yesterday but did not charge me a penny! A good result in any event. A chaotic morning with car problems on the drive was resolved in less than 10 minutes by the amazing Richard. Called Red Oak as they are our neighbours, just asking for advice with a small locking issue, didn't expect them to offer to send someone up to the house. First time using Red oak and I would recommend this garage from my first visit here. Richard was extremely helpful and super nice. He was patient, kind and genuine. The other lad at reception was also super nice and they seem like a genuine team who have their customers interests at heart. Had a very good experience here and would recommend.
