Visited on a Thursday Evening. Not a soul on site. Thought the shop was closed. In fact no one else came during our entire stay so it was eerily quiet all the time we were there. Ordered a Tawa for 2. A bit pricey given the fact you have to pay extra £4 for donner. Drinks are pricey too. Food was good though. On street parking. CASH only however they accept bank transfers too. HMC Approved.

After a long day of wedding shopping, we were starving, and the Tawa pictures online looked SO GOOD! Our table of 8 was greeted with a warm welcome. The interior of the restaurant was nice, clean and very on brand. The Moroccan lights looked beautiful. The menu was simple-ish, but a bit outdated. Nit the items, but the actual menu itself. Also, no rice dishes were available. That didn’t bother us though - ee went for the Tawa! We ordered the Tawa meal for 8. Service was quick, but as a fee large tables arrived together, some items e.g. our mocktails took longer to arrive. Again, not a bother as it was evident the staff were trying their best. The Tawa did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious! The meats were so tender and succulent. So much flavour! We polished it right off! The only downside - it’s cash only. Will 100% go back.

Al Shakoor is One of The Best Eateries on Leeds Road. Good Fresh Food All The Time We've Had. I've Been to This 4 Times Now with Family or Friends and Always Had Their Big Tawa. It's Worth The Price in Every Aspect. Big Enough to Share and We Always End Up Taking Our Left Over Food Home as Well. The Price Seems Huge But It's Worth It. An Elder Brother There Always Very Welcoming & Very Helpful. The Young Kids Working Inside Sometimes are a Bit of Let Down Cos I've Noticed They Pay More Attention to Their Phones Behind The Counter Than The Actual Customer. No Need to Book & We've Always Managed to Sit In Straight Away. Cash Only BTW but Can Accommodate Bank Transfer If Really Needed. Highly Recommend This Place & Suggest To Help Local Businesses Around Us. Our Local Businesses Need More Help Than Ever Before From Us Thanks to The Lack of Interest From Governments & Local Councils.

Visited Al-Shakoor which is located on Leeds Road. There is on street parking available and bus service with a 5min walk. Visiting from Scotland we were treated here by friends. The ambience is great. The food took a while to come out and I noticed others coming in after us were getting served their food whilst we were waiting. Once the food came it was great. Everything tasted fresh and portions were generous. Food was full of flavour and I would definitely revisit!

We discovered this place through a friend's recommendation and it definitely stood up to the hype. We ordered the grilled tawa for sharing and the presentation was amazing and unique. The portion size was perfect and I would recommend going in on an empty stomach so you can truly enjoy the absolute feast this meal is. The taste was simply the best and honestly I can't praise it enough for how good it was. This place is a hidden gem. And will recommend everyone to try it if you are looking for amazing food to share between a group. Good price, great service and amazing food. What more can you ask for.
