Stunning views, several hundred year old graffiti and a cafe and pub at the bottom of the hill. Amazing.
Fairly easy walk - clear path which is well maintained, a place to park too, beautiful views and easy to continue walking on from as there are signs to point to different view points/places of interest
It was a fun adventurous walk up the hill through the ferns, to get to rock formations, I hung out there. Went further through the violet heather. It was a real delight for a Londoner to see all this beauty in England, once I reach the apex of the Moors. Stunning views of IIkley and beyond. Seeing 360 ° view of the Moors was out of this world. The sky was beautiful, blue with some fluffy clouds and the sun was out. I felt like I was on top of the world. The wind was blowing adding a more dramatic and dynamic experience for me.
Fantastic place for the family and your dogs. Interesting stone carvings on the rocks. Be careful though uneven underfoot. Great view over Ilkley. parking is limited but if you don't mind a walk you will find a space.
Boxing day stroll over Ilkley Moors, was quite busy but still beautiful.
