Quirky bar loved it. So many live bands to see. Well worth a visit if you're into live music.

I love this place, every Friday and Saturday night live music. Ok not to everybody's taste but it can suprise you. I've had some fantastic nights here and sometimes I've just turned around and gone somewhere else. Don't be scared give it a try more than once. The staff are great the landlord interesting love them all. Free entry/donations excepted. 👍

This is a jewel of a live music venue, The staff are amazing and very helpful, great service and the management are cool. I went on a Friday night to see Bad Monkey and the Electric warriors, Guns For Girls and Naked Sunday. The gig was awesome and the sound and lighting was near perfect and the show were brilliant. Everywhere you look in the building is full of retro art and memorabilia. It's well worth a visit, great Ales , beers wine and spirits available and reasonably priced. Can't wait to return for another headline night

Dropped in to kill time before watching my son play Rugby, very glad I did. I ordered the Bacon, Onion smash Burger with Onion rings. Absolutely delicious, and great value for money too.. Great food, very friendly atmosphere and attentive service what's not to like. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the Whitchurch area

We heard a new cafe had opened and decided to meet friends for breakfast. Our food was delicious and the cafe was comfortable and welcoming. We dined in but take aways we’re also available. Would definitely recommend. Just a note the breakfast comes with toast not shown in the photos.

Lovely friendly place! Popped in for some breakfast with my sister and 2 year old. Had a high chair available for my son which is super handy as he's a wiggler! I had the breakfast baguette which was amazing and well worth the price! Great value for money and food is delicious!

What a gem of a place . Visited on spec and tried nearly all the tapa dishes . These were presented in a refreshing way, rich in flavour . Well priced too . Lovely staff too made for a great lunchtime .

We only had a toasted teacake and a coffee. The teacake was as expected. I was delighted to find a coffee shop offering Spanish coffee, but this wasn't remotely like any coffee we've ever drunk in Spain. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it - we just didn't like the taste and having drunk coffee in many parts of Spain we couldn't see the similarly.

Great place in the centre of Whitchurch, great value food, fast friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. Lovely breakfast (£3:99 before 11am !) Revisit in March 24. Still wonderful, upped all scores to 5* exceptional.

I must start by saying I am a Google guru, I travel the country with work as a tradesman and the first thing I do when I arrive is check Google for a good breakfast! Normally, I look for somewhere that could accommodate such site personnel, you know, the ones in the dirty work gear, effing an geffing about the "birds" they dabbled with the weekend. But seeing as I was on my own, and semi respectable on the builders scale, I decided to waltz in an give Jones a try. Very glad I did! Not one to lie, upon entering the establishment and picking up a menu, I was sharp to notice there was no sausage included on the traditional breakfast which immediately had me perplexed! But I was in now, and had no bottle to turn away, so I ordered it anyway with the friendly looking and talking lady at the counter. I had a little stroll around the new found premises to find a seat, and, wearing my site attire, I must admit initially I felt I was marginally out of place, but none the less I chose a throne, and awaited my feast whilst gazing upon the works group WhatsApp, informing the members of my current location. Not before long my manly café latte arrived with a most pleasant smile, shortly followed by the long awaited, 'friday breakfast with no sausage'! A man, clearly with many words to say, cannot find words to describe the sheer perfection of my satisfaction. In 14 years of the 'friday breakfast', never has one matched this of Jones. My only concern, which would never deduct a star of rating, is what the hell I will do when 10 dirty muddy foul mouthed site operatives land on site 😂 10/10

I like a breakfast sandwich on a Friday as my dinner break, today was no different. Found this beautiful cafe tucked away on a caravan site and decided to stop , I was not disappointed with the food or the location. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed atmosphere and lovely place to stop off. Carl

Lovely place for a breakfast or food large parking area just off the main road but can also be easily accesed from the whitchurch arm of the canal from the jubilee park in the tiwn its roughly 2.5 km with the start being along the sandstone trail and then turning right just after the basin and lift up bridge. The cafe has a wide choice of breakfast items as well as hot and cold drinks and full toilet facilities. Seating area are both inside and out with a ramped accessible entrance.

Call regularly , food is excellent, service with a smile and our dogs love a run around! Definitely worth a visit!

We were on holiday visiting the Forest of Dean and gotten off the beaten track when we came across this little gem. From the front we thought it was just a shop with some outdoor seating, but it had a lovely seating area upstairs. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding, both in presentation and taste. You’d expect to be paying far more for the quality of food served here. It’s quite small, so there were many people trying to be seated, we offered our table to someone who had turned up as we were not long from finishing our food. The shop downstairs was well stocked, with some items on the pricier side, but all the staff were friendly and there was a great choice of items. I’d certainly return and eat here again if I was local!

Great cafe just off the A40. We visited on a Monday when the upstairs cafe is closed but had a warm welcome in the grocery shop and had great coffee and a good selection of gluten free cakes which we sat outside and had while watching all the comings and goings. Very good.

Great place, very nice breakfast and well presented. There was a very loud bunch of people in the main cafe area, which would have really put me off but fortunately the weather was amazing and we sat outside where it was peaceful.

Incredibly rare find. Cozy cafe, serving perfectly brewed coffee, homemade well-thought out foods. We enjoyed the delicious new York deli and a cappuccino, which had plenty of filling in fresh bread. Staff are polite and the prices are more than fair. It also had a shop attached downstairs, which sells a mixture of local produce and home baked confectionery.

I recently booked this venue for my partner’s 30th birthday, and it was amazing! This is one of our favourite spots to enjoy coffee together, so it felt like the perfect place to celebrate the occasion. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible. Frankie and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly. We had an outside caterer for the food, but the staff took charge of organising and presenting it perfectly, making sure everything was on time, and making sure all of our guests, including those with allergies, were well taken care of. The atmosphere was fantastic- full of energy, warm, welcoming and it didn’t feel rushed or stressful. I kept checking in throughout the evening, but Frankie was absolutely wonderful in reassuring me that everything was under control and telling me that I should enjoy the celebration without a worry, which is what I did. Our guests had a wonderful time, and I’ve received nothing but positive feedback about the venue, the staff and the overall experience. I would highly recommend this place for any event - you won’t be disappointed. A huge thank you to Frankie and the team for making my partner’s birthday so special!

We booked the Yard for a private party on Saturday evening. The location is fantastic, the staff were efficient, attentive, and friendly, and we had a great evening. Thoroughly recommend it!

Wonderful! We went to Friday night's music evening and everything about the venue was just perfect - the music; the street food courtesy of Earth to Oven; indoor and outdoor seating which interconnects beautifully in one space, and an overall 'holiday' vibe in tastefully designed surroundings. We will definitely be back!

A true hidden gem in a beautiful and tranquil setting on the Shropshire Union Canal. Friendly staff and excellent value for money make it a must-visit when in and around Whitchurch. Excellent place to visit for dog owners as the canines are well catered for including dog ice cream treats for the hotter days. This is without doubt my favourite cafe in the UK, enjoy.

We only stopped for a tea and coffee. We seen the gorgeous cakes in the chiller, well what can I say. My husband had apple pie and I had the blacurrant and prosecco cheesecake. They were both really good. We had a little walk up and down the Loch. Lovely afternoon out.

Stopped off on the way up the locks and had a coffee and a slice of lemon meringue. Friendly staff and a really pleasent outside seating area. The lemon meringue was delicious. Great place to sit and watch the Narrowboats go by.

First time visit to Lockside Cafe. Staff are lovely. Lovely building in a picturesque setting next to the Shropshire Union Canal and staircase locks. Our food was very tasty. Nice selection of meals/snacks available at reasonable prices. Seating outside which is ideal for watching the barges come and go. Also a garden and children’s play area at the rear. We walked along the canal path under the bridge and met a couple of interesting people magnet fishing in the canal. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Nice coffee, service was okay. Loads of dogs which is great, but a few songs jumping up on seats which isn’t very hygienic. Food is quite expensive.

We came in around late lunch time. They were out of savoury vegan options and had only 1 vegetarian option. They welcome dogs, so a great spot to come as a dog owner if you're just after a sandwich, coffee or sweet treats. They serve things for your dog too. The food was tasty. Shame they are often low on veggie/vegan options when I stop by or I'd come more often.

Coffee is average but the atmosphere is really nice .I like the interior.

really pretty cafe, the service was good and everyone was polite and friendly enough, the bakery items were so good and literally melted in your mouth, the drinks were also good and the whole atmosphere and presentation of food was adorable
