Itchen Valley Park is setup for everyone, good picnic and family areas, as well as a dog wash, good toilets and a quaint café. Would recommend highly. The park could do with a few more litter bins but you can always take your rubbish away with you. The cafe has lovely staff and good range of food and drink.
Looking for a place to walk our hound and have a slice of cake i stumbled upon woodland cafe on Google maps and decided to give it a try, seeing a woodland around it. It is located within Itchen valley country park and one needs to pay for parking. There is a lovely play walk for the children, go ape, cycle path, bridal path and dog walking paths. A lovely piecefull area. The cafe is inviting and the staff are very friendly.
A lovely little café staffed by a young and friendly team. I'm not sure about the coffee served in paper cups, especially as it is priced just below a nearby venue that serves in cups or mugs. Lots of interesting pictures around the walls and a very clean, bright, seating area. Seating is available inside and out. Parking is OK but they do charge for the privilege... although on this visit the parking was free, due to maintenance on the barriers. Recommended.
The cafe is located in Itchen Valley Country Park , it is on your left as you enter the car parking areas. You have to pay to park! There is plenty of seating in & out, with a large play area for children, toilets & a dog wash. You can buy hot & cold food & the usual hot & cold drink offerings. It can get busy & there can be queues that unfortunately move slowly. During covid they had a kiosk, maybe this could be opened again at busier times. A great place to sit & have a cuppa after a stroll around the lovey park.
Pop in after Park Run for tea and coffee and some cakes. Nice little cafe.
