The Good Companions roast was recommended to me and I can see why. HUGE portion and very tasty. I went for the lamb shank, a great size and well cooked. We all made the 'mistake' though of having a starter and we struggled to clear our plates, TBH, they could easily half the size of the bread and oil starter and charge the same price, this too was huge. Earlier in the week, we had a few drinks whilst watching the footy and I also had a cheese burger, this too was delicious and well priced, served of course with a great choice of beers.
Beautiful food. Definitely book a table. Not fast food... but excellently cooked fresh to order and tasted amazing. We booked after reading reviews... and will be back. Fast and lovely service. Food was outstanding. My steak was cooked to perfection, definitely value for money, everything was cooked to.order. Would highly recommend this pub. Blonde lady was really good, attentive but not intrusive. Thank you 👍
In town for a couple weeks for work. The pub was 10 mins walk from my hotel. The minute I walked in, I was treated like I've been a local for years. Great people, friendly service, clean bar, and prices are good. Nice selection on tap.
If you’re looking for a place to eat this is where you need to go! Just had a meal, I had the belly pork & my partner had the loaded fries with a side of chicken wings, he has said these where by far the best chicken wings he’s ever had My belly pork was incredible Staff very attentive, warm atmosphere. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.
