Staff here are amazing. Sat in the cafe for a few hours working and the staff service to me and to everyone else over that time was first class - clearing tables, talking to customers, opening the main door, constantly making sure the customers have what they need and are happy. Place was spotless. Rarely see places with this much care for their customers.

My wife and I spontaneously decided to have a look at Stones Cafe while looking for somewhere to eat. As you do, we looked at the menu prices outside first. We could certainly say the prices were reasonable. As soon as we entered, you were greeted with plenty of space, a well decorated cafe that was certainly clean. We made our way to the table of our choice and again looked over the menu. The breakfast choices were limited. However, this may not be a bad thing, as this generally does ensure that the less there is on the menu, the better quality it will be. Once my wife and I decided what to eat and drink, I made my way to the counter where I was greeted by a friendly server who assisted me with my choices. Once payment was made the drinks did not follow far behind which I took to the table. As my wife and I were chatting, the staff were doing some cleaning to ensure everything was at its best. This made us happy to see and you can tell that they care about the Cafe. Our food did not follow far behind and came to us within 15 minutes. We both ordered an English Breakfast and we are happy to say it was a well prepared and served breakfast. By no means was it greasy and nothing tasted as if it was frozen or had been sat there for a while. I would certainly come back here again and even bring my family.

The food is great, it was so good we had to order a side for more. The milkshakes were really good and there was a diverse amount of options and it was really easy today find something for my really picky eater daughter. The toilets were great as well and really spacious. I would highly recommend. The food service was also great as all of it came in the time I went to the toilet. I would very highly recommend going.

Ordered on uber eats and it came quickly and the food was delicious I will definitely be ordering again 10/10 give Lunch Box Café a try very very nice

Dropped my Suzuki Vitara car in for a service and one of the sales chaps suggested we try lunch box cafe for our breakfast. Didn't know it was there lol Very glad we found it thou 😊 Fantastic breakfast . Very reasonably priced. Heather took over lunch box 4yrs ago ,just before the pandemic bless her. Somehow she survived thru the pandemic and is now looking forward .. Obviously with the current economic situation she sadly regrets she may have to increase her prices a wee bit .. but u know what ? With the quality of food and service she offers I don't think she needs too loose any sleep over it ..:) The cafe is bright and obviously clean .. Table and chairs are provided outside weather permitting. Toilets are in the main building next door

Since Jade and her team took over, this place has dramatically improved. We originally came here just because it was local, wanting to support a small business, but now it’s become a go-to spot. Huge well done for revamping the aesthetics—it used to remind me of the café from The Apprentice (a little gloomy), but now it’s fresh, inviting, and a pleasure to visit. Even though we’re moving premises a few minutes down the road, we’ll definitely keep coming back. The food has gone from a soft 6 to a firm 10 since the handover! If you visit, I highly recommend the bacon, sausage, and mushroom bap—the buns are super soft and fresh, the bacon is thick, and the sausages taste premium. I just wish they were double the size (though my waistline might disagree!). A big thank you from me & Shane

Went in for Lunch with the family as we've been before and loved the food. Well cooked, hot and lots of choices for all diets. The staff are great and did whatever they could to cater for fussy children. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great coffee and good food 🙂👍

Called here today and had a superb all day breakfast, lovely food and cooked nicely. The staff were tentative and dealt with everything professionally and went a step further to make sure you were catered for. No upselling or grumpy waiters, smile on their face and well presented.

Lovely food and drinks. Always clean tidy and fresh. All the staff are very friendly and courteous and can't do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Lovely place for a quick bit of breakfast or lunch. The food isn't fancy but nicely cooked and good value for money, coupled with great service.

Came in with my partner and sister for a lovely breakfast. A little wait, but it was busy so the view definitely made up for it. Really friendly staff and have been before, and will be going back again. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare at times, but I don’t believe this is down to the cafes fault.

There’s never a bad day when you start it at Salt Café. A yummy breakfast with beautiful view over Portsmouth. Ellie and her team are always ready to help; a job well done so keep up with the great work

A unique restaurant as it was a bit hidden. My son loves it and he wanted to come back next time. Food is very nice and affordable. Staffs are very helpful and approchable.

Been here a couple of times now thanks to family buying us gift vouchers. Serving breakfast and lunch by the water, the Salt Cafe in Portchester is a real hidden gem. Good size breakfast, with vegetarian and vegan options, excellent coffee and a takeaway brownie to die for. Plenty of reserved parking around the Marina but do book as can get busy most mornings. Oh and it's dog friendly inside and out.

First visit to this lovely area after a walk in and around the Meon shore. Had a breakfast, first class ingredients in an attentive comfortable environment. Restaurant is split into areas, dog friendly in the front part. I thought it was good value for the quality of the food. Breakfast menu until 11.30 I think but a good varied menu otherwise. Will definitely return. Car parking at rear, said it was for the boozer opposite but don’t think it’s particularly monitored, otherwise on street parking too.

A cosy and surprisingly large 2-story cafe with lots of outside seating for the warm weather. Parking on the streets nearby. Generously proportioned sandwiches come with a really tasty salad. One bowl of pwefect chips as a side did the three of us. Too full to have cake but they looked nice. Fully dog friendly. Staff are friendly and helpful and service was very prompt.

We visited here for cream tea. What a delight! We were seated promptly and at a big table too for 3 of us. No table service but after ordering they were super quick with the delivery of the items. Lovely atmosphere, nice staff and very clean! (You could smell how clean it was) Will be visiting again!

Haven't been here for a few years, was pleased today at the options of non-dairy milks. Have to say it was the best latte I think I've ever had 😋 Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Great to see fishless finger sandwich now and option and there are other choices if you dont have allergies 🤪😊 Will happily be returning

Found this today. Fantastic little cafe, excellent food made to order. Wide range of food available on the menu, very clean inside and fast polite service.

This was our first visit to The Dovecoat Eatery on a busy Thursday before Easter. The staff were super friendly and efficient and all the food was lovely. Very reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit and we will be going back again very soon.

Been meaning to visit for ages as I’ve heard lots of good things and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were really nice and the food was lovely at such a reasonable price. The Veggie Muffin was filling and very yummy. The atmosphere and decor was good whether your upstairs, downstairs or outside. Lots of parking marked with a Dovecote sign. You can book or turn up on the day. We turned up just after opening on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables free. Will be definitely coming back!

Nice enough experience with decent coffee and food in a good ambience. No WiFi unless you want to go through the irritation Sky join-up process The other irritant is the insistence that she must put a plastic lid on the cup before I could take it away even though I didn't want it It's so I have no claim if I spill hot coffee on myself For God's sake, just grow up and let's live in an adult world 🙄🙄

I recently visited with my two toddlers & the staff were very friendly, helpful & patient when I had a problem with my card. And the cherry Bakewell hot chocolate was amazing!

Great coffee, nice cakes & tarts. But I've teied the bacon and sausage baps, and whilst the warming process (squeezing the lively looking bread baps into a sandwich warmer) does cook (warm) the meats to temperature, it destroys the lively looking soft bread and turns it into dry squashed hard doughy-tasting 'stuff'. A great pity because they obviously have to ensure the meat is properly cooked. But destroying the bread baps makes a tasty snack a tedious meal. BUT, great coffee, atmosphere and cheerful staff even when the place is busy.
