Amazing little inn with rooms over the pub. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. We also had the opportunity to have dinner on one night of our stay and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The staff were so nice and listened to our concerns when we expressed an issue with our room (noise coming from another room). Having a small fridge in the room and accessible washers and dryers in the inn would be a great addition!! This place is also about 20 min away from the nearest grocery store, something to consider if you’re staying here for a longer duration. All in all we were extremely happy with our stay.

Great pub, great staff giving great service and most definitely great food. Lovely, pretty village location with quite a number of thatched dwellings. Enjoyed it immensely.

Had lunch at the Rose and Crown today and it was superb! Very friendly and welcoming staff, a lovely old pub, great beer and fantastic food. Best fish and chips ever with lovely crunchy batter and chef rustled up a smashing vegan filo pastry dish for my vegan son. Top work and many thanks! We will visit again!

Has a friend over from America who was born in England and moved to America years ago … she brought her church friends over for a visit of where she lived … They were armed to have lunch in a traditional English thatched country pub .. We happened on the rise and crown by accident Was amazing … great food great staff great service …. Ticked every box plus more … the American ladies still mention how amazing it was every time I speak to them …

Absolutely fantastic stay staff was amazing very friendly and welcoming Room was great we had a wonderful stay over The evening food was delicious service was very good Breakfast was lovely Highly recommended
