Who ever thought of this, what a great idea, using a beer barrel to hold and dispense water. It keeps the planters and dog bowls topped up and it looks great. Its the little things that make for a great service. Top marks to The Reading Room

Love finding little gems like this. Great coffee and cake. Also have good selection of sandwiches and breakfast. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The venue is clean, light and have a lovely decor. They are dog friendly and even have a dog station. Aga and her husband are such amazing hosts. Service with a difference and so unique I love these amazing finds. I went there with a friend for lunch and coffee and looking forward to going back to try out the wine and cheeseboards. A must visit guys you won’t be disappointed.

What a great place! We stumbled on this place by accident, the food is lovely and fresh, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Lovely to see this place is also dog friendly! If your visiting Bishops Waltham then you must try this place it's beats the other coffee shops in village and it's also a wine bar and real ale tap room! What more could you want? 😊

I seriously debated this review, now we have found it I'm not sure I want everyone to know about it. Without a doubt now my favourite cafe hideaway in Hampshire. The food was spot on, the coffee was the way I love it and the service was friendly and welcoming. Go here, tell some people :D

We decided to stop off at this delightful little café for a cuppa and a cake. The staff here were very friendly, polite and helpful. They quickly served are refreshments to the table and were keen to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The cakes were absolutely amazing and really delicious. Would highly recommend a visit, I am sure we'll be back when passing next.

Found this place on Google Maps after travelling home from Southampton last week. I had the Full English Breakfast, and it was great. The only issue was that it was a very hot day, so it was very warm in there, and I wondered why they didn't have the air-conditioning on 🥵

Made an impromptu visit on Saturday morning, and discovered for ourselves this delightful little gem, run by a very pleasant young lady with the help of her sister. Inside, La Luna is clean and attractive, the service is welcoming and very friendly, whilst the food and drink are excellent. The cakes on the day were really delicious! The prices were very fair for the decent quality. Do visit if you get the opportunity, especially in the cooler months when business is understandably slower. You will be glad that you did!

Lovely, friendly coffee shop. I broke down in Selborne and the owner was amazingly helpful. I had a mocha which was far better than the nationwide coffee shops.

Lovely little cafe! Have been a few times now and always get good coffee and nice service. Very friendly and local village atmosphere. Good cakes and sausage rolls on offer. They also do kids lunchboxes which is great!

Popped in to this little gem of a cafe whilst out for a cycle around Hampshire. Home made cake and coffee was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

After visiting Josie’s in Winchester town centre now on multiple occasions I can assure anyone who goes an outstanding brunch selection! The menu is fantastic, not only are there multiple options for breakfast/all day brunch but everything is very reasonably priced for the quality and portions provided. I’d highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great local brunch spot, I’m not directly for the area but I happily travel for places like this. The location of this particular cafe js slightly out the way of the town centre, however you will find there is normally a 30-45 minute wait time for a table (Approx for 2 people) which does allow plenty of opportunity to enjoy a walk in Winchester town centre while you wait!

Pretty busy on a Sunday lunchtime so they took our number and buzzed us an hour and a half later (shame you can't book). Once there we all had a double stack of pancakes which were very filling and tasty. Perfect place for a treat, highly recommend.

Came for the pancake week specials, was not disappointed. I got a steak and egg 2 stack anf my partner got a buffalo chicken 1 stack. All delicious but she was the dinner winner. We shared the veggie tots which were lush as always.

Took my nephew for for a lovely lunch treat and was not disappointed. Food was excellent, staff were fantastic! Definitely worth every penny. Cant wait to come back and try the waffles 🥰😋

Great spot for brekkie or brunch. Compact so need to be patient or get lucky with your timing! Usual suspects, full English etc. good veggie options too. Strong cake and treats game, available from the glass display case at the front. Has a sort of "the ceiling could fall in at any moment" kind of vibe but it's all good! Popular spot and deservedly so.

Food , coffee, service, restaurant, all perfect. Can't fault it. Nicest mocha I've ever had the loved the generous portions of bacon in my bagel! Unlike other cafes where you got 2 tiny slithers. This was packed. lovely staff, all friendly and welcoming! Keep it up

Visited The Coffee Cabin for a birthday breakfast with a friend. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the coffee is lovely and so is the breakfast. Would highly recommend the Cabin Bagel.

We enjoyed a Truly Scrumptious Perfect Breakfast yesterday! Quick, effiicient, EXCEPTIONALLY YUMMY, and we were on a TIME CONSTRAINT. And there are unique Gift selections in this Restaurant, to add to the Convivial atmosphere, and delicious Nosh@

My favourite place to get the most delicious chai and a fully loaded roll! The staff are great and always go above and beyond to cater for my son who is gluten free. My boys love the milkshakes and hot chocolates too!

Cafe Nosh Bar is the best cafe spot ever! They never fail to impress. It’s such a lovely place, and I highly recommend it! I paid £38 for two people with 10%tip included.

Edit Feb 2025; Still a great visit if you're a biker. Yes prices have gone up (they have everywhere) and yes the roads locally have some speed restrictions on them now but try not to let this stop you going. The atmosphere is still great and it's still busy with bikers. Additionally you now have caffeine and machine across the road if you're a car fan as well. Are you a biker? If yes go here on a sunny weekend day or evening. You'll love it especially as it is just off one of the best riding rounds in the south. Great food tops off a great venue.

Heard about this cafe a few months ago & only just managed to get here! Popped in for breakfast en route to Portsmouth/ Southsea! Just happened to be a burger challenge going on, which was fun to watch!! The winner done it in 22 minutes, which is unbelievable considering the amount of food!! But well done to him!!

It's a proper bikers cafe Friendly staff, good food, and well worth the trip. Be mindful of the average speed cameras on the A272. This place gets really busy at weekends when the weather is brilliant. So it could be difficult to find a parking spot. Food is delicious and was definitely worth the trip.

Popped in here early on a Sunday morning. Thought it would be quiet but how wrong was I. As a fairly new biker I was keen to visit a cafe where other bikers were likely to hang out. I wasn’t disappointed as there were 40-50 by 09:00. Good food as well and plenty of seating.

Super friendly staff with a lovely smile. She made an amazing chocolate for me. The afternoon tea set is absolutely worth to try. The chicken sandwiches are delicious and the cheese scone is tasty. Cozy and clean environment.

Amazing place , amazing staff and I love coming here. Have been there before as well. This time reached after 3 pm so food options were limited . So we tried hot chocolate and scones and loved both. Fruit Scone was really really nice. Next time I will try the cheese scone :)

First time to The Crate after a chilly dog walk nearby for 5 of us and one dog. The Crate is very dog friendly with water and biscuits free on-hand. There is quite a limited menu but options for most people including vegetarian and vegan options. The food was amazing, all of our asks were catered for perfectly, such as crispy bacon, one of the eggs being cooked slightly more etc. A great range of hot drinks and extras like syrups and powders for the top. Aside from the drink and food, the place is also extremely clean and well presented with a great feel about it and the staff were all very friendly and run the place very well. All in all a fantastic place!! Well done everyone at The Crate!!

First time here so wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Well what an eye opener! Sat in a shack in a field with rusting corrugated roofing with overhead 1 bar heating from the 1960s. The toilets albeit perfectly functional reminded me of a Boy Scouts Field Loo, even the sinks to wash your hands were improvised horse troughs. The whole ambience was/is totally unique, I was totally taken with the place, absolutely fascinated, such a wonderful experience. Now to the food, there was 6 of us including 2 kids. We all had variations of breakfast food stuffs. The kids are well catered for with smaller cooked breakfast portions or fruits, Nutella, cereal etc. Us adults all had a cooked breakfast in various guises as you can basically build your own item(s) stack in a sarnie, bagel, baguette, wrap, panini, bap, roll, etc you get the picture. I had what I can only describe as the best breakfast baguette ever!! A large fresher than fresh baguette full with Treagust sausages, really thick cut back bacon rashers and a fried egg, it was cooked to perfection and was extremely high quality produce and truly very satisfying. We all had hot coffees and the kids had smoothies. The only drawback was the Coffees could have been hotter especially the latte’s. All in all I loved the place and the food is delightful at sensible prices; £60 for 6 breakies and drinks. I will be back. Oh sorry! the staff are wonderful and very hard working.

The Crate Bosham is a warm, welcoming place to meet up with friends or family for breakfast, second breakfast, brunch, or dinner. I hear they have a bar and live music in the evenings. I visited during the day and I was impressed by the outstanding menu options. Being vegan and from the U.S., vegan options can be few and far between. However, I was so pleased to see an entire menu full of vegan options! For brunch, I ordered a vegan salad bowl which came with sweet potatoes, grilled veggies, falafel, and hummus over a bed of micro greens. My son enjoyed a chocolate croissant and my daughter, a breakfast wrap.
