Craig Haskins is a genuine craftsman of the old mould. He has just finished the leadwork on two chimneys that we had to have rebuilt and the result is brilliant. He has been a roofer for 35 years and has immense experience. He takes infinite care and his skill is unmatched in this part of the country. He is always ready with excellent advice and will do his best to save you money if he possibly can. We are lucky to be able to call on him.

After online research, I contacted Craig after discovering some damaged lead flashing. He visited promptly and when he saw the extent of the deterioration exclaimed “crikey!” which was most restrained. He was of course very busy, but fortunately there was no leakage, so we agreed that he should return some weeks later when his programme allowed. Meanwhile, he emailed a detailed quotation including for scaffolding (which he would arrange) and waste disposal. From the outset I was confident that (somewhat by luck) I’d found the local expert. In due course, a date was pencilled in and later confirmed. The scaffolding arrived as planned, as did Craig, who then did what appeared to be a very thorough job. All in all, I was very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend him.

My original quote was for some replacement guttering, fascias and soffits requested in September 2022 after the purchase of a new house. I agreed my very reasonable quote with the lovely Christie at the office, and waited for my slot. By November, rain was freely watering my living room and a whole new set of problems came to bite me. Jory was quick to attend my frantic emergency and temporarily fixed the problem - the man was my hero of the day. After a terrible winter 2022/23 (why did I buy this house) it was very clear the roof was leaking in multiple areas and the membrane was causing condensation not picked up in the survey. The job was completed efficiently, to a high standard (they even took away the old chimney wedged under my roof!) with attention to detail for a Victorian property. We hired Luna Roofing to repair the chimney on a bungalow we have recently purchased. Dean communicated quickly and clearly from beginning to end. He clearly laid out the work that would be done. On the day of repairing our chimney, he sent us videos showing the chimney before the work, clearly explaining why the work was needed. Then he sent videos showing the completed work. When the work had to be delayed due to the weather, we were given advance warning as well as a new date. I was very impressed by Dean's proactive communication and the quality of the work.

Firstly, Dean is a consummate professional from the start - friendly, honest, clear in explanation and advice. The workmanship is of the highest quality and attention to detail - we had a wooden porch roof that had given up the ghost, buckling in last summer's heat and causing leakages. Dean replaced with slate tiling that is entirely complementary with our house's roof, re-dressed with lead and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The site was tidy and Dean and his apprentice were respectful of neighbours - you wouldn't know they'd been after the scaffolding was swiftly removed after completion. Andrew is a professional. He is trustworthy and transparent. We needed a couple of roofing jobs done and he was fairly priced and did an excellent job. I would have no hesitation in recommending him. He even came to put our water filter in place even though he claimed not to be a plumber!!
