Really nice tucked away family run pub. Very helpful signage from the A31 giving directions. Got a great feel when you walk through the door and everyone is very welcoming. The layout and decor is very inviting and definitely has a nice feel to it. The beer garden is one of a kind, great style and gives you privacy when in your party. I loved the huge secluded table and perfect for family get togethers or couples alike. Would recommend this place for sure. Oh and there is a huge car park on the opposite side of the road with generous parking bays. Definitely worth another visit sometime. To add, there is the local shop a few feet away that sells COOK and a good variety of products.
Lovely village pub with a friendly vibe.. Only popped in while I waited for my car to be ready in the garage round the corner but I'd recommend it if you're in the area!
We intended to eat at the cafe nearby but they were full so ended at The Star. So glad we did. the food was excellent and nice and hot. the staff were helpful and not expensive at all. Well worth a visit.
First impressions were not good. However, once inside, we found a warm, friendly reception. The food was very good and reasonably priced. If in the area, I will definitely return.
