Went in here for a lunch, nice and clean, friendly staff (bar man and the girl doing table service).
We had, houmous starter, Main, rag pudding, cheese N onion pie and a ale and a cider, £46.
The food was delicious, my wife said the mash potatoe was very good (she is a chef). The table we were sat at (room to the right as you go in) felt sticky, it was clean but requires attention.
I recommend you try this pub. 👍

Rag pudding is famous and their mince beef onion pie is delicious. Great portions for lunch and such a lovely ambience to sit and enjoy a classic UK pub atmosphere

Our family love to come here when we are in the area and have done so for a number of years. The staff are very friendly and have always been accommodating. The food is traditional pub grub as it used to be, home made and nostalgic, which is what a pub should be. Lovely atmosphere, homely and welcoming. After a nice long walk this is the place to come, have a nice pint and some pub grub and there's a doggy menu too. Good choices of beer and food and good prices.

I have been to The Chetham Arms on many occasions. The service is always quick and all the staff are very friendly no matter who you speak to which creates a warm and welcoming environment.

I recently decided to try the special which was a chicken and pesto flatbread with rocket salad and cherry tomatoes. I had halloumi fries on the side and they were delicious, not too greasy and just enough dipping sauce.

The venue itself is very clean and offers dog friendly sitting, but there is also the option to sit away in a no dog zone should you wish.

Highly recommend visiting this place!
