H&A is, in my humble opinion, best described as a charming, genuinely down to Earth cafe, that stands along the High St as a lighthouse would an embankment were it tasked with guiding the folks of Harlesden and the adjacent neighborhoods towards an excellent ambiance, stellar sandwiches (re: Hasan, the tuna roll was a perfect post run snack, thank you again for the suggestion!), and robust coffees.

Moreover, the owner operator Hasan is incredibly personable and goes above and beyond in their professionalism. A few Sundays ago I found myself opting to take a video call at H&A simply because I’d forgotten to un-rsvp for a recurring series of status meetings yet to yield any value other than catering to someone’s ill defined attempts at an entrepreneurial undertaking.

But anyway I digress, having left my earphones at home, and given the relatively light traffic at the time, I decided to risk it and attend the meeting via speaker phone and fulfill my obligations in an ad hoc albeit acceptable manner. Yet, as the meeting dragged on past the hour mark with no meaningful resolution in sight, and the number of H&A patrons rose, I fast grew uncomfortable at the thought of prolonged disruption to the other guests. Upon noticing my discomfort Hasan indicated it was more than alright, and that catering to both a casual and working professional demographic was something they strove to do. And so he refilled my espresso and encouraged me to finish the meeting regardless of how long it ran over the allotted timeframe. So thank you for the support and understanding.

P.s., I’ll definitely have to try the spinach and feta croissant toastie next. After seeing it the other day I’ve not been able to get it out of my head 😅.

The food was warm and tasty! I got a tuna crunch and it was made fresh by Dana- who is amazing and welcoming. Spent a few hours studying as they have free WiFi and got a great iced mocha, will definitely be returning.

Really lovely new coffee shop! Nice and clean and very pretty inside. The owners are lovely and friendly. The food and drinks are amazing!! Really fresh and I will be visiting again. Would defo recommend!!!

The sandwiches and coffee is too good. I came here with my 2 children (who are picky eaters) and they absolutely loved it too. I had the caramel mocha which was also amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

The coffee best coffee i have tried ever their coffee is so rich and creamy and not bitter at all . Absolutely love 🩷 always have iced latte just wish bigger cups were available i love my coffee ☕️ x
