Neighborhood eatery in the heart of Muswell Hill catering to families, dog owners, coffee enthusiasts and couples. With daily opening hours of 9AM to 3PM the menu focuses on brunch and comfort food dishes with large portion sizes that make Korto good value for money. The buttermilk crispy chicken (£14.90) was generous with coleslaw, hummus and roast potatoes alongside. The waffle french toast (£14.50) was tasty but a bit heavy on the cinnamon. The french fries (£3.90) where wonderfully crispy and fresh. Finally the Americano coffee (£3.10) was tasty and it gives merit to the owners choice to roast their own coffee beans. The service was immensely warm, efficient and friendly.
I've been coming since it opened and food has always been very good,however, today the portion was smaller but the price higher than when I last had the same dish a year ago; please return to 2 slices of bread and 2 eggs on avocado not 1. It was tasty but I was still hungry afterwards; adding 1 extra egg and slice of bread for a dish costing £14.50 is a minor cost to Korto. Coffee is good,service good. It was very cold today and there were so many people taking ages to come in and not closing the door,the waiter also held the door open while talking to people leaving and entering, allowing freezing air in! Plus there was a delivery on a trolley,in and out 3 times at 1.30pm which isn't a great time for a delivery! Overall,I will go again as a treat but not as regularly as in the past due to the cost of quite a small brunch and the cold!
What a great discovery! Came here early on a Sunday morning- if you come at 9.00 am it’s quiet and chilled though worth booking as it gradually gets busier. The coffee was excellent, the breakfast options varied and tasty and the service very warm and friendly. Visit nearby Alexandra Park and Palace (only 8 min walk from the cafe) to burn the breakfast calories.
Absolutely loved our lunch here! Such lovely options, big portions and so fresh and tasty! The waffle french toast is amazing! But loved everything!
