I had a great experience recently with Megan during my first visit to Melissa Timperley - she took the time to listen and understood exactly what I wanted to achieve while 'growing out' a shorter cut. She clearly explained the various options and regularly discussed things with me as she progressed with cutting and styling. I felt confident enough to book my next appointment with her before leaving the salon, which is something I never normally do. Thank you Megan!

I am a demanding old Karen and know a good haircut when I see it having been to some of London's top salons. Moving to Manchester, I did find one excellent hairdresser who promptly hightailed it to Dubai. In the interim, my hair grew to almost waist length as I searched through reviews, reading through the lines, and found Melissa Timperley and, by accident Joe. I can honestly say this is joint first in the chart of the best haircuts I've ever had (and I was modelling in the 1970's). Joe listened to me and what I wanted and gave me the perfect cut. Importantly, a good five months after the cut and style, I can do what I want with my naturally curly hair and it looks good. Utterly delighted!

Lovely salon. I'd been looking for a salon specialising in short, curly hair post chemotherapy. Victoria always asks how I am managing my hairstyle and explains how she is going to cut it before proceeding with the haircut. She then shows how to style it at the end. The stylists here wash your hair, colour it and cut it so you have 1 person looking after you from start to finish. The mints with the coffee are also lovely! Jo is really personable and easy to chat to. He always checks that I'm happy with the cut and whether there is anything I'd like him to tweak.
