Booked a table for us 4pm to coincide with the end of our circular walk from the pub carpark, through stockeld, accross the Wetherby rd and down onto the Harland way which has been relaid, left head up to Spofforth cross the road again and follow the track through Christmas trees back to the pub carpark, took us about 1 hour 40. We arrived a little early but not a problem, and our dog was made very welcome too. Very friendly staff, lovely food what else can I say? Go see 😊
We’ve been a couple of times now and it’s always been fantastic. The staff were delightful and very attentive, and the food as always was stunning. My grandma said it’s the best sticky toffee pudding she’s ever had, and she is notoriously fussy! The environment is also beautiful as always. We mentioned at the start that it was my sisters birthday and they got her a brownie with candles. Truly lovely staff, and a great experience.
Lovely food, excellent service. We didn't stay so I can't comment on the rooms. We'll definitely be back in the better weather to make the most of the walks.
First visit. Definitely would recommend. Welcoming friendly and an excellent Sunday lunch. Decent portions and quality meat plus trimmings. Not Forgetting the delicious Home-made cream of horseradish sauce Would recommend ****
