Started using this practice after having continued bad experiences at Highcroft vets! I am so happy we switched. The vets at this practice are excellent, explain everything and want to help.. not just take your money! Very happy with the service here.

We’ve been coming to Avon Lodge, Wells Road for several years now and we have always received an excellent service from reception through to the veterinarian surgeons. We appreciate the thorough care of our cats, the consultations and treatment options are explained clearly and compassionately with any interventions being appropriate. Overall we highly recommend this practice to friends and neighbours and we will continue to bring our cats here as we are confident they will get the care they deserve. Always excellent service. All the vets we’ve seen have been thorough and kind with my cats who do not like going to the vets. I have three cats and two guinea pigs The pet health club offers a great service but some other vets charge less for the same thing and offer multi pet discounts. I pay more for the pet club each month than I do for my pet insurance. It’s probably still worth it to make sure your animals are up to date with all the treatments.

Last Saturday morning, we called as our cat had some difficulty breathing and she was able to be seen promptly the same day. Unfortunately we found out it was very serious and we were explained our options for her, as well as the risks to keep our expectations realistic. We decided to try save her and they were able to perform an operation quickly. She was then transferred to an out of hours practice to be monitored. Sadly, that night we had to say goodbye to our little furball. Myself and my husband are very grateful for all the effort Avon Lodge and Vets Now put into saving our cat and for also being so compassionate when it was bad news. Thanks so much.
