I have been using Avenues for about 20 years for all my pets. They are so kind and even my reactive dog is happy and doesn’t react to any of the staff. Always made to welcome and they have been really helpful with insurance claims. They genuinely care and have the best advice.

The Avenue vet has a very sound aim to give satisfactory service for both pet and their owner. The staff are really supportive and attempt to gain the best possible outcome of treatment for the animal being treated, furthermore cared for. Excellent veterinary practice.

I recently took my cat to Avenues Veterinary Clinic for neutering, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and reassuring from start to finish. They took the time to explain the procedure, answer all my questions, and ensure my cat was comfortable. The surgery went smoothly, and my cat recovered quickly with minimal discomfort. The clinic provided clear aftercare instructions and even checked in afterward to see how he was doing. Their compassion and expertise truly made the whole process stress-free. We had Cassie attend an out of hours call out and she was brilliant throughout! She explained every step of what needed to be done, she saw nothing as an obstacle and remained professional and realistic! Highly recommend and thank you for all your help!

Excellent, we have used Hammonds vets on multiple occasions for many of our fury children. My elderly grandmother with mobility issues called me today extremely upset that her beloved elderly chihuahua was very unwell. They attended her home quickly and with great professionalism and compassion peacefully put her dog to sleep. Thank you so much for being so kind.

We were referred to Hammond Vets by the Royal Vet College after our pet chicken suffered a prolapse earlier this week. Although it was pretty obvious that nothing could be done to help her, I honestly think the same care would have been given if she were a prized racehorse. The compassion shown to my son (who hand reared her) was wonderful and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Big thank you to reception and to the vet who came out to my emergency when sadly I had to have my sheep euthanised. Both were calm, friendly and caring during a traumatic time for me. Would throughly recommend.

So lucky to be in catchment area of this wonderful vets . James came saw Finley with nurse and put me and Finley at ease . Took bloods and rechipped as couldn’t locate . Happy cat and owner . So happy to have local vet that puts pets first at very good prices

Really happy with how Christina looked after my French bulldog during her lump removal, they provided a very good price compared to our old vets in Ware, sent an itemised bill afterwards, explained everything that was going to be done and got her done very quickly first thing in the morning so she was ready to come home by lunch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and have switched to their vet practise for all our vet care. Thank you Christina!

Honestly, the best vet I’ve ever dealt with, Mike and the nurse that came to the house to see our unwell Pug Bruno, They managed to have a look and give him the right treatment with lots of love and care, Bruno is a rescue dog and very nervous but he soon calmed down because they were both so lovely and treated him amazing. Now that we found three bears Vets, I would never go to anyone else, Five star treatment and five stars from us for them.♥️

Lovely vet arrived called Mike. Really put us at ease at a very sad time. Putting our old dog of 14 years to rest in very dignified way once it was done he took her away wrapped in a blanket. No stress of waiting rooms. Really recommend for anyone having to face this to recommend this option

Fantastic vets and nurses. Our beloved Labrador received excellent care when she suffered a spinal injury recently. She is doing very well thanks to their prompt care and referral to a specialist vet. They are all friendly and provide top quality care. 100% recommend.

Such a wonderful practice. All staff are so welcoming and compassionate. We have had 2 dogs as ‘clients’ of theirs and you can tell they truly love animals. This is so important as they always have their best interests in mind in all that they do!

Took Blaze for his 6mth checkup today, Viv was caring, friendly and very professional. I highly recommend Park Vets in Abbots Langley, the team there always make both our dogs feel welcome and at ease and they always spoil them with the cheese treats 🧀 👍

My little rescue Connie ( cat ) had most of her tail amputated on Monday after becoming trapped in a window 😢 I was so stressed and tearful on arrival, the receptionist was absolutely wonderful and kind, the vet had her straight into theatre and did wonders with her . Despite loathing the cone she is recovering well, this is the second visit after a bite on the paw last year where upon I received sterling treatment. Marvellous surgery 10 stars 🙏🙏

I am writing this review on behalf of my sister who lost her dog Scrappy a few weeks ago. I cannot express how grateful I am you guys added extra months to his life and you really really cared for my sister Jess and her dog I am forever grateful for that. My sisters vet was David an absolute star honest, caring and really put our dog first. The whole team are amazing and really do go above and beyond - Chloe if I could give you 10 stars I would thank you for being there for my sister and Scrappy I know he was very fond of you right up until his last day so thank you so much for looking after him keep up the good work it does not go unnoticed we were referred to you by a passer by on the street and it was a blessing and I will do the same and spread the word of this lovely vet thanks again for all your help Scrappy and family are forever grateful❤️

I would give them 100 stars if I could. I can’t begin to explain the support and help they have given us with our new puppy. He has needed the vet a few times and everyone has been amazing. Not only have they seen him in the vets but I’ve had calls and messages checking up on him. Everyone there really does go above and beyond. I can't recommend them enough! 🤩🤩🤩

We recently joined Battlers Green Vets and are so pleased that we did! Unexpectedly, our dog Misty had an issue and had to take her out of hours to their associated hospital. Before I even had a chance to phone them in the morning to discuss, they already knew about it, contacted me and assisted with invaluable advice. Such a superb service from a warm and friendly team and can't recommend highly enough!

I took my 15 year old male cat yesterday 24 th August 2022 as a Emergency appointment due to him not being well for the last 30 hours. The receptionist was very helpful, polite and caring. I got a appointment very quickly saw the vet which done tests and injections on my cat explained everything which was wrong with my cat. You can tell all the staff that work here love and really care for the animals Expensive price's but worth the money.

Having overcharged me , I was pleased that the manager got in touch and rectified the problem. I thought this was very good conduct.

I'm an inexperienced dog owner. The vets and all staff have been very understanding of that. They've given great advice, been accommodating of appointments at short notice and just generally really helpful. They send reminders of appointments, are able to rearrange when circumstances change and the fees are reasonable. I'm very pleased I have my dog registered here. I feel she's well looked after. My only comment would be parking can be difficult!

The staff were very sensative and caring when i took my little dog to be cremated..when i collected him , i was overwhelmed by the kind gestures that was given along with his ashes , a hand written card and some seeds to plant in his memory . The staff were very understanding and caring when i came in to collect my boy...thankyou Highfield staff .

We were extremely nervous, having not been to a referral vet before and having been with the same vet for a really long time. We shouldn't have worried at all. From only a few hours after our vet made the referral, we were offered an appointment as early as the next day. Staff were helpful and friendly, they were able to reassure us even though we were facing a potentially significant diagnosis for our cat. They were clear about the process and what the costs were likely to be initially, which gave us the opportunity to prepare before the appointment. At our appointment, Anna was just exceptional, she was so gentle and thorough when assessing our cat and her experience and expertise was clear. She went through the diagnosis (thankfully, in our case a less significant diagnosis than we had been referred as) carefully ensuring we understood treatment options and followup plan, as well as providing options for obtaining the medication we needed. The discharge letter was the most thorough I have ever seen (pet or human!). The fees are more expensive than your regular vet, but it obviously costs a huge amount to run such a specialised animal hospital. The initial consultation fee was more than our insurance would cover for specialist consultation fees, but the price was made clear to us at point of booking and we were able to plan accordingly. After the appointment, their team completed and submitted the insurance form promptly, which was appreciated. Since then, we've had regular contact with the vet that saw us, and when our regular vet needed some further advice, they were able to get it promptly from Davies - the aftercare has been exceptional and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

My precious Tyger was referred to Davies as there was a problem with one of his eyes and our own Vet had said the eye would probably be have to be removed 😞 We were treated with empathy and the staff were so caring and treated Tyger with such care and concern.The process for Tyger was explained from start to finish and concern was shown to myself too. Tyger had surgery and is now at home making a good recovery my heart felt thanks to all at Davies for the caring treatment of Tyger 😻

First class. I immediately felt complete confidence with the woman vet who treated my dog and, more importantly, he felt relaxed as he was being examined. I knew he was in safe hands. Stars off the scale.

Excellent specialist centre with professional specialists. Detailed diagnosis given along with kindness and care to my pet Florence who is a very anxious little dog. Julian was very thorough, explained the procedure and diagnosis in detail, has followed up with us since leaving with advice and blood results. Highly recommend for complex animal health issues and specialised care.

Could not recommend this veterinary surgery highly enough. They’ve always been kind and caring looking after my much loved cat over the years. When he was sick they really pulled out all the stops to give him the best treatment and care. Today sadly at 17 years old, he had to be put to sleep and again the team at Animalism were fantastic not just with my pet but with his blubbering mum! Took our 1 year old cat Newt here for his vaccines. The vet who did them was so lovely and friendly and really good with him (he is a nervous one!). Easy to book over the phone. This is my first experience of the vets as a new pet owner but was really easy and they were so good with him (and me)! Lovely staff and was seen for both our appointments promptly.

Clare is amazing , and great with our cat Harley. The practice are great with our cat.

Have always gone above and beyond for a stray kitten I found towards the end of last year. Boots stole the hearts of everyone. She had unfortunately lost her sight and had a few complications, but that never stopped them caring for Boots and bringing her to (almost) perfect health. She has ever since been the perfect addition to the family. Thankyou to everyone at Great Ashby Vets for the love and care Boots has and still does receive. Forever Grateful x

I had to bring my old dog buster to the vets to say goodbye. I can honestly say this vets have the most caring respectful staff I have ever come across the dignity they shown to my dog was out off this world. I can not speak highly enough of the staff I came across today

I cannot thank the team enough for the extraordinary care and compassion they showed during a very difficult time. When our beloved cat Loki was involved in a car accident, we were devastated, but from the initial phone call to the moment I walked through their doors, I was met with kindness, understanding and a level of support that went far beyond what I could have ever expected. Everyone I spoke to were not only professional and skilled in handling such a traumatic situation, but they also showed genuine empathy. They made every effort to contact me quickly, keeping me informed at every step. Their compassion made all the difference. What touched me the most were the small but deeply meaningful gestures, like the tiny paw prints in cards and some of Loki’s fur they gave me in a vial. These keepsakes may seem simple, but they meant the world to my family and I. It’s proof of how much they truly care, not just for our pets, but for us as their families too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for looking after Loki with dignity and for treating me with such warmth and humanity. You are all truly exceptional. Thank you.

Amazing vets. My dog had 7 puppies and I had them under the care of great Ashby vets. The runt Dot was in quite a bit as she had a few problems but she is fit and healthy now, 6 months on.
