I’ve been to a number of vets throughout the years and Hope have set the bar incredibly high. We recently relocated from the UK to Dubai with our chihuahua Kobe and they were incredibly caring & supportive throughout. We worked closely with Sara during the process and she is one in a million. Wonderful independent vets in a quiet setting outside Bovingdon. The team at Hope are kind, caring, and welcoming. We're first-time dog owners, and they're great at helping us understand the things we need to be doing for our new family member. Would thoroughly recommend.

Took our new puppy there after bringing him home at 8 weeks. Every interaction I have had with Hope Vets has been excellent. As a first time dog owner, the team at Hope Vets have been so helpful, and provided reassurance and guidance when needed. No question is too silly or unimportant to them. I can't underline how nice it is to be dealing with such people. Our pup is very young and was invited to Hope Vets free puppy socialisation classes. The format of the classes is quite informal, which makes for a nice and chilled atmosphere. Three sessions are provided, taking between 30-60 mins depending on the energy levels of the pups. This was an excellent opportunity to help our puppy get used to meeting other dogs in a safe environment. Gentle encouragement, toys and even some yummy treats were provided. It was also an opportunity to meet with owner puppy owners to exchange stories and advice. Quick shout out to Lizzy who was running the classes, we found them very useful! I cannot fault the facilities or services provided. Aside from the socialisation classes, our pup's first check up was also stress free and informative. On site you can find ample parking. Inside, it's also possible to browse a small selection of Kong toys, lickimats, and pet food. Prices are all reasonable.

Friendly and caring vets. Make you feel confident in the care provided and don't push treatments and tests that are not necessary as happened with our previous vet. Very happy with them.

An amazing facility that helps your dog repair and revitalise. Fabulous staff, all highly skilled in their own discipline, and led superbly by Emma. Theravet enabled the last two years of our dog’s life to be of much higher quality than we could have ever imagined. Lovely people, great skill. A big recommend. Thank you! 🐶

Cannot recommend Emma and the team at Theravet enough. Brew hurt himself falling in a lake at 9months old was referred to two different specialist vets after spending thousands they couldn’t identify what was wrong with him, I found Theravet through a recommendation, rang up and downloading his whole history on Emma. They saw him 2 weeks later and sent him for a scan to confirm their findings which it did he has some treatment at the vets and then physio to manage his recovery. On going back for another scan at the vets to see how he was healing the vet found that based on the last scan she wouldn’t say he had ever had any injury. This is no doubt to the the treatment hand constant monitoring the team give him. Brew loves going to Theravet and all of the team there they have done an amazing job with him and defiantly should be commended for everything they do.

I could not be more impressed with Theravet if I tried. They were so thoughtful and kind with my little doggie who did not like water before she went to them. She had a luxating patella and was completely limping and not even using her back leg. The therapists did an amazing job, my vet wanted me to do expensive and risky surgery and I chose therapy instead. It has now been over 6 months and Molly seems to be completely cured. If you have any muscle issues with your dog take them to Theravet before you ever even think about any other kind of treatment. Thank you Theravet you were amazing!

I have been taking my dogs to Theravets for a number of years and Emma and her team have always looked after them with such great care. Having agility dogs and Harvey being in the GB squad, the demand on their bodies is enormous and therefore ensuring they are properly cared for is crucial. From diagnosis to treatment I have always been kept well informed. Where necessary communicating with my vet to ensure the best line of treatment is always given. Thanks to Theravet Harvey is fitter and faster than he has ever been which is testament to their facilities and knowledge.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Our girl had difficulties delivering her pups and these were incredible. Sonia was the vet on hand and if it wasn’t for her expertise and being able to work under pressure, we would have lost the pups and who knows what our girl would have gone through. She kept her calm and informed us all the way through. I can’t think the team enough. And even on check up, Sonia couldn’t be more helpful!!! Thank you

Really lovely vets here. We had been taking our dog here since we got him 7 years ago and being a Frenchie had no end of problems. They have always been superb and accommodating and not just there to take your money. The animals best interest really are at heart. The vet we usually saw left recently but saw a guy called Antonio who helped us immensely with kindness and compassion in the awful circumstances of having to have our beloved boy put to sleep. The reception staff are very busy but always helpful and polite and happy to help. I highly recommend Companion Care. Thank you all x

Great customer service, Max gets very nervous at the vets and extremely stressed......which then I get stressed 😅 Staff and the vet we saw were amazing! Max also left very relaxed! Highly recommended!

Lovely & compassionate staff. We had to use them recently for our bulldog who’s experiencing some eye problems. The service we received here was amazing and you can tell how much they care for your animal. Fantastic vets and nurses. Our beloved Labrador received excellent care when she suffered a spinal injury recently. She is doing very well thanks to their prompt care and referral to a specialist vet. They are all friendly and provide top quality care. 100% recommend.

Such a wonderful practice. All staff are so welcoming and compassionate. We have had 2 dogs as ‘clients’ of theirs and you can tell they truly love animals. This is so important as they always have their best interests in mind in all that they do!

I booked my consultation very easily online. It is a very friendly practice towards both pets and their owners. I and my cat were made very welcome when we arrived. After a short wait the vet came out to take us into the treatment room. This was a routine checkup but the consultation was very thorough, and the vet explained everything she was doing, and my cat stayed very calm throughout.

Superb service for our rescue cat. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, taking good care of our cat. Appointments are easy to book online and we feel that our pet is in the best hands. 100% recommended.

Javier is an incredibly thorough and kind vet. We are so grateful that our cat is under his guidance and care. Receptionists are also lovely and have always treated us with kindness and respect.

I cannot express how highly I valued the care, attention and empathy I received from this superb local vets. Vets for Pets in Hemel Hempstead cared for my very much loved 14yo cat when she had a lump removed before Christmas 2020. I was very worried, but the vet, Javier Bernal reassured me from beginning to end of her treatment. From the initial consultation and the news it didn't look good - Javier took the time to talk to me with such great empathy - I can tell he really loves cats. He was clear and completely upfront about my costing options and the route for treatment - and made me feel 100% confident that he was doing everything possible to help my little cat I am so grateful to Javier and the team at Vets for Pets Hemel. They worked with me to find the best and most cost effective solution for my cat given my personal circumstances and at all times I felt supported in making tough decisions. They do FANTASTIC local work for pets, and at reasonable prices. I didn't at any point feel pressured, judged or out of control with the costs. After a successful biopsy, my little cat is now home and recovering beautifully and back to her soppy self. I couldn't have asked for a better team to take care of her. Both my pets (cat and a dog) go here, and is the only vets I've taken them to where they don't freak out, both are always very calm going and when in there. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Had a very poorly dog this week and Barton Lodge looked after her with great care and compassion. The Vets and nurses are exceptional. Christina the vet was fantastic and very caring. All the staff get 10/10 from Tavi the cavapoo. Thank you all very much

I had to put my poor cat down here a few weeks ago. It was really traumatic and heartbreaking, but everyone here was so nice. I just wanted to say thank you so so much, for being so lovely and supportive. That was a really horrible day for me and you were all so nice. The two ladies (Sorry I don't remember any names from that day) who were in the room when it happened, were just so amazing. Also, Judith, who helped with the insurance claim. Amazing experience! I’m so glad I decided to move my dog at the Vet Station. You can tell they are truly caring about our little pets. My frenchie had stomach issues and Martin helped us solve the issue, within a few days he was almost 100% recovered. Also, he felt really relaxed comparing to how he was at the previous vet. The registration process is really easy and the treatments are not overpriced. The lady at the reception is really nice as well. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Vet station vet was really good with my tuxy boy recently when he needed a little check up for some flea meds; she also administered a worming tablet - which is some feat as he can be a spicy boy! With this vet (our first time seeing her), the down the throat part was over in seconds and just left my boy swishing his tail a little 😺 Match 20th 2025: Update - Marissa the vet is always lovely and yesterday seeing her again with my Tuxy boy cat and how she so easily administers his worming tablet, was a pleasure to see! She always makes time for a chat and catch up plus to check on how my cat is doing after having had x9 teeth out last year! The Vet Station are friendly kind professional and do not try to charge ‘extras’. Best vets ever ~ thank you!"

After being highly recommended by pets at home I was extremely happy with the specialized care my Guinea pigs have received from the Village vets. After preparing to say goodbye to 3 of my babies, they have all managed to be saved by the incredible care received ❤

Pepper came in to be spayed on the 30 th of July and to say I was a bundle of guilty nerves is an understatement! Every one there that day gave me so much confidence that she was in not just safe, but really compassionate hands. She has always liked going to the vets, and that's obviously a reflection of your care. An excellent practice. I have been with them for 6 years and have always had very positive experiences with them . They are professional and knowledgable and deliver the best care for my cats .

We have been clients for many years and I have always found all the team at the Wheelhouse to be exceptionally welcoming, kind, compassionate and pragmatic. They usually are able to accommodate last minute appointments and have supported us brilliantly during the last days for two of our pets over the last year. We visited this week with my old cat who was very unwell and had wonderful service from Chris. Sadly the cat passed away but here is a photo of her in happier times, during a visit to the Wheelhouse.

My dog loves Giotto the wheel house, the staff are so friendly and fantastic at looking after her. After my dog needed an operation they kept me informed of what was happening and the care was second to none. Here she is having a snooze on the sofa after her operation
