We were extremely nervous, having not been to a referral vet before and having been with the same vet for a really long time. We shouldn't have worried at all. From only a few hours after our vet made the referral, we were offered an appointment as early as the next day. Staff were helpful and friendly, they were able to reassure us even though we were facing a potentially significant diagnosis for our cat. They were clear about the process and what the costs were likely to be initially, which gave us the opportunity to prepare before the appointment. At our appointment, Anna was just exceptional, she was so gentle and thorough when assessing our cat and her experience and expertise was clear. She went through the diagnosis (thankfully, in our case a less significant diagnosis than we had been referred as) carefully ensuring we understood treatment options and followup plan, as well as providing options for obtaining the medication we needed. The discharge letter was the most thorough I have ever seen (pet or human!). The fees are more expensive than your regular vet, but it obviously costs a huge amount to run such a specialised animal hospital. The initial consultation fee was more than our insurance would cover for specialist consultation fees, but the price was made clear to us at point of booking and we were able to plan accordingly. After the appointment, their team completed and submitted the insurance form promptly, which was appreciated. Since then, we've had regular contact with the vet that saw us, and when our regular vet needed some further advice, they were able to get it promptly from Davies - the aftercare has been exceptional and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

My precious Tyger was referred to Davies as there was a problem with one of his eyes and our own Vet had said the eye would probably be have to be removed 😞 We were treated with empathy and the staff were so caring and treated Tyger with such care and concern.The process for Tyger was explained from start to finish and concern was shown to myself too. Tyger had surgery and is now at home making a good recovery my heart felt thanks to all at Davies for the caring treatment of Tyger 😻

Excellent specialist centre with professional specialists. Detailed diagnosis given along with kindness and care to my pet Florence who is a very anxious little dog. Julian was very thorough, explained the procedure and diagnosis in detail, has followed up with us since leaving with advice and blood results. Highly recommend for complex animal health issues and specialised care.

First class. I immediately felt complete confidence with the woman vet who treated my dog and, more importantly, he felt relaxed as he was being examined. I knew he was in safe hands. Stars off the scale.

Jenifer and her team came out to my mums house today to put her unwell cat to sleep. The care and compassion was amazing. Something we knew that was coming because she sadly had cancer. But was dreading. But Jenifer was so reassuring and the level of care was outstanding. I only wish I lived nearer to have her as my vet for my cats. Thank you so much

Expensive like all veterinary places but not exorbitant like them either. The highest levels of expertise and equipment can be found here. Wherever you go now you’ll need deep pockets or high levels of insurance from a good company.

We were told of a possible 4 hour wait but when we arrived after 9.30 at night with our very poorly Bichon, a vet came out within 10 minutes of arrival. From Gate Security to Reception and registering, nothing was too much trouble and our pooch was handled with great care. She examined him thoroughly and although the end did not have a happy outcome (he was over 14 years), he was treated with respect and the vet was just as sad as we were when we said our final goodbyes. We cannot say enough and thank the Royal Veterinary team.

Been to 4 vet's so far. This hospital blew the others out of the water. The level of care and professionalism stood out massively. Hatfield is the first place I felt confident to book my frenchie in for nose surgery. Andrea operated on my dog. She was fantastic. I have only had bad experiences with other vet's in the past, Medivet being the absolute worst, so avoid!! I am thrilled with service and level of aftercare.11/10

My Border Terrier puppy Terry has thrived with his walks by the fantastic team at We Love Pets since January, particularly Caroline and Jill. He goes on a paired walk weekly with his furry friend and this has really helped with his socialisation, development and all-round temperament. Highly recommended pet walking service. The service from We Love Pets is 1st class- everyone I have come into contact with is so professional, friendly and helpful and their love for the job they do shines through. My dog is treated like one of the family when she goes to stay and has a wonderful time. Sarah the boarder sends me photos and videos of my dog to show me that she is settled and happy. I highly recommend WLP and I’m so glad I found them.

Cannot rate highly enough. Ruby loves spending time with Charlotte and Sarah, who treat her as one of their own. The scheduling portal is excellent reminder of bookings too. We are so pleased to have found We Love Pets and I know Ruby feels the same. She's always so excited to see them. Truly excellent and would more than recommend. I am very happy to leave my 14 month goldie with Sarah or Mariana - he’s very well looked after and I feel he receives extra special care from both of them. I receive regular photos while he is with them to update me which is very reassuring. I love that he’s looked after in their own homes and treated as part of their family.

We honestly cannot rate Chris highly enough. He has looked after our Pugs since they were puppies. Chris always takes his time with Alfie and is happy to answer any concerns you have. We trust Chris completely with our dog! Highly recommended 5*

I cannot recommend highly enough. This team is exceptional in the way they deal with customers and more importantly their pets. I have my three Labs cared for by Chris and his team. He has carried out 2 essential ops on my young Labrador and to the highest standards. I joined after a very bad experience from my previous vet and the quality of care I now get is fantastic.

A very good experience. The receptionists were very professional and attentive. The vet was perfect and looked after my scared cat very well. She is the loveliest person I have met in a long time. She really cared and handled my cat with care and skill.

Really nice experience. Friendly team and quick service this time round. It was only a health check so good to take the doggo and show him it's not always scary going to visit the vets and he got a small handful of biscuits.

I really like this veterinary surgery, you can really do that they care a lot about animals just generally the way they show you through their natural behaviours. My only concern is the waiting room actual size is not very big at all. Can be very tight at times which has previously caused a lot of distress. It seems like they have been making lots more effort I feel with regards to making people feel more supported etc. My little puppies operation went extremely well, so smooth and fast by the team. I really appreciate the support they gave me with him. He and his brother are best friends and it's lovely to see them so happy.

Vet Charlotte was excellent with me and my dog who was very sick. She was gentle kind and explained everything I knew leaving Dolly with Charlotte for treatmnet would be fine and she would take care of her. All the staff were lovely but special thabks to Charlotte.

Our dog was with Berry House Vets for the last 5 years and I can't fault the quality of care we have received whilst with them. Tagus has passed away recently from heart disease and he was well looked after from the first moment until the last. I feel that everything was always explained to me in great detail, the vets were available and gave me space to ask questions. I was given enough autonomy to know what to watch for regarding his health and to tweak his medication as needed (within strict limits of course). Pricing and treatment options were clearly discussed. Berry House Vets also had a concern about continuity of care. It felt good to be seen mostly by the same two vets, Sarah and Charlotte, specially throughout his last year when he had to get more procedures done in order to get a diagnosis, and also when he started taking more medication. I also value the end of life care he received. It was minimum intervention and just doing the best we could for him to still have some quality of life in his last days. When his time came we got given the news in a compassionate and direct way that I really appreciated as heartbreaking as it was. Having said that there are always bits that are not as good: I think in all these years I only felt a warm welcome from reception once when coming in, but that's only a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things. I feel the prescription and medication prices are a bit high, but those are roughly the same across all vets. It was common to have some back and forth emails when issuing his prescriptions, even when I wrote in bold I wanted the chewable tablets, for example, it was almost certain they wouldn't prescribe the right ones on the first go. Once I made it clear I wanted to order the medicine from Berry House and they sent me a prescription to order online... It was a bit stressful at times to deal with the repeat prescriptions and time consuming for everyone I am sure... I wish their out of hours vet wasn't Vets Now as it has a terrible reputation, but thankfully we never needed to go. All and all I really recommend Berry House and I am quite happy with all the care our dog Tagus received over the years through some complicated diagnosis and illnesses.

Unfortunately, I had to put my cat down recently and the team here were amazing. They were all incredibly empathetic towards me and my pet, had a good discussion about my cats health to ensure euthanasia was the right decision, repeatedly ensured me I was doing the best thing for her and made the process as peaceful, quick and painless for my cat as possible. They also provided me with clips of her fur and multiple paw prints, being gentle with her body the entire time. I never felt rushed to leave her or pay and once I did, the team on reception were just as wonderful as the vets. Asking if I'm okay, offering tissues and condolences. I could not have asked for better support through something so heartbreaking and I will be forever thankful to the whole team for providing a peaceful and caring environment for both of us. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic

Always friendly staff, good waiting times, and quick to get appointments! Their VIP scheme is handy to save a few as well. Flynn drags me in there to say hello to the receptionists (who definitely do not give him treats and ruin his diet 🤭)

Hi I've been with this vets for over 15 years. Every time I've been for what ever reason from puppy vaccinations to saying goodbye to our fur babies I've never had a bad visit. Everyone makes you feel that your pet matters. They have taken care of all my pets from my cats, rabbits and my dogs. Had to say goodbye to my old boy but will be taking my new puppy there soon. Thanks for all being amazing.

Mimram vets are one of the best vets around! I have been with them for well over 15 years and the care they give is amazing. My cat Kasper has quite a few issues and has to go to the vets regularly and he is always looked after exceptionally. All the staff are super friendly and I feel that the welfare of the animals they look after are there main priority. Thank you for all you do for all the fur baby’s 🐾

When my beautiful cat was hit by a car and taken into Mimram vets she received excellent care. Every member of staff went out of their way to be kind and supportive both in person and over the phone for which I am truly grateful.

Have always gone above and beyond for a stray kitten I found towards the end of last year. Boots stole the hearts of everyone. She had unfortunately lost her sight and had a few complications, but that never stopped them caring for Boots and bringing her to (almost) perfect health. She has ever since been the perfect addition to the family. Thankyou to everyone at Great Ashby Vets for the love and care Boots has and still does receive. Forever Grateful x

I had to bring my old dog buster to the vets to say goodbye. I can honestly say this vets have the most caring respectful staff I have ever come across the dignity they shown to my dog was out off this world. I can not speak highly enough of the staff I came across today

Great place for any kind of needs that your pet may have.Very convenient for whom lives near by,even waiting area for the pets ,comfortable,appropriate. I found very clearly many items that we usually buy to spoil ours lovers pets. All the appointments goes on time,what is good. The people that work there is very nice staff. Parking your car is easy and free tickets,but also good to walk for the ones that lives near by, Not boring if you have to wait...atmosphere nice also warm considering the cold weather outside. The veterinary doctors are competent!!All good!

Amazing vets. My dog had 7 puppies and I had them under the care of great Ashby vets. The runt Dot was in quite a bit as she had a few problems but she is fit and healthy now, 6 months on.

I phoned Vets4Pets Stevenage when my dog Pip was poorly, got a same day appointment, both vet and vet nurse really kind, caring and passionate about my elderly dog. The vet was really informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Discussed treatment plan thoroughly and costs involved. The reception ladies were also really kind and welcoming. Thank you Vets4Pets Stevenage for helping Pip to feel back to her normal self and for putting me at ease in what was a stressful situation.

I’ve been going to Vets4Pets in Stevenage for a while now with my cat Mitzi, and I’m very happy with them. One thing I really like is seeing the same friendly faces at reception every time – they always make me feel welcome and remember us. Even when I call and say, “I’m calling for Mitzi,” they know exactly who I am. That means a lot – it shows they really care and pay attention. Sometimes it’s quite busy, which just shows how popular and trusted the place is. Even then, they always do their best to fit me in, including for emergencies. They take the time to explain everything clearly, and they helped me set up a care plan for Mitzi, which makes looking after her health easier and more affordable. The staff are kind, gentle, and clearly love the animals. I feel safe bringing Mitzi there, and I know she’s in good hands. I only wish my GP reception was like this!

Unfortunately we had to put our beloved chuck down this morning. We rang up and the vets gave us an appointment really quick and told us to come in within half an hour. We dealt with a woman called Isobel who usually doesn't work there but she was a real professional and saint and above all she was honest with us. Our cat was hit by car we believe and she believed he had a broken leg and hip. She gave us payment options and was totally honest about the cost of things if we had continued with surgery, medication and physical therapy etc and she also mentioned that it would be a long road to recovery and it was never a hundred percent he would’ve recovered and how it might not be a great quality of life for him. We all decided it was best to put him to sleep. She was very compassionate and very patient with us gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes explained everything in detail and cost wise. So we’re thankful we dealt with her today Just a little bit of advice you guys might need to do a little bit of sound proofing because when we were saying our goodbyes in the room all emotional. We could hear you guys all giggling and laughing. Beilive it or not we actually found it a little bit funny and it did lighten the mood for us but it might not be the case for other customers. Thanks a lot for your time Isobel. today you made a really heard decision a little bit easier for us (We know you wasn’t laughing at us we just thought we should mention it)
