Our Son originally started a year ago (yr 3) to assist with his handwriting but he also has an appetite for learning, especially maths. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. Alla has successfully tutored both my children German for GCSE level. They both really enjoy their sessions with Alla and the creative way she builds links in the language. Alla provides a structured style but balances this with also being flexible and adaptable to cover specific topics as needed.

Having had a few lessons now, I can definitely recommend Alla for her language tutoring. Lessons are well planned, with the subjects adapting to my needs and any questions that arise. It is something I'll be carrying on with.

In hindsight, my approach to learning German lacked structure. Having tried several tutors, all of whom never managed to instil confidence in my speaking ability, I soon felt dejected. That all changed when I started with Borderless Tutoring. Alla is very good at pinpointing areas that I find tricky. When things just do not sink in, she always creatively finds ways to help me grasp the idea. Her lessons are really well-thought-out and they have a clear direction - I can see each session nicely building on the previous one. Most importantly though, her lessons are fun! Already, my speaking has come on by leaps and bounds, and I feel her rigorous approach to grammar is certainly paying off. I would strongly encourage anyone searching around for tutors to not waste their time and choose Borderless, because Alla has done wonders for my German. Cannot recommend more!

Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language. I'd wholeheartedly recommend her if you are an adult wishing to pick up or polish your French or Spanish. We also laugh a lot!

Cate was very good at assessing where our son was with his French and systematically helped him work on his weaker areas. His confidence in his ability to speak, read and write in French grew beyond what he ever imagined he would achieve, with the final proof being a very respectable GCSE grade. Brilliant tutors have so far truly lived up to its name. My daughter is currently enrolled and preparing for 11+. She started in year 5 and I was a bit concerned as a lot of the children start much earlier, given the level of competition. Monica has been extremely approachable from the onset. She has been so supportive, she willingly gave my daughter all the extra time she needed so that she can come up to speed. She is very positive, encouraging and motivating to the children while also maintaining the level of discipline required. We had tried two other very renowned classes in the Earley area but my daughter did not enjoy as their style of teaching was not engaging enough and they failed to understand each child and their potential. Whereas Monica knows every child and their strengths and weaknesses. She doesn’t run the class like a business but has a real love for teaching and that shows in every interaction we’ve had with her. My daughter liked this class from the very first one and has not looked back, she’s doing quite well now in her tests so far. Most importantly, she’s happy which is essential for healthy learning.
