My son joined STS tutoring February of Year 5 after finding his old tutor was unable to work positively with him. I called Yasmin fairly worried that my son would be changing tutors so late in the 11plus journey. She was incredibly supportive and set a date to trial him and see how much he knew. Straight away she told me he was doing so well and he was definitely on the right track. Each week from then on, Yasmin was nothing but kind and positive about his learning. When I had a worry, she took the time to give me reassurance and even ideas of how to improve certain areas of learning. She kept up with last minute changes in the exam criteria and made sure my son had the up to date papers to work from, something other tutors in the area didn’t do. She tailored the work for his weaknesses and went above and beyond to help him feel confident. She also was truthful when she felt he could improve his learning or even his attitude towards the work in any way. My son has a place at Sutton Grammar starting in September 2024 and couldn’t be happier. My younger son will be starting with Yasmin when his journey starts. Yasmin is dedicated, kind and so personal, perfect for our family.

My daughter benefitted so much from Yasmin’s tutoring throughout Year 10 and 11. Yasmin was thorough and patient. She provided practice papers and tips which really supported her understanding and learning, and helped her achieve outstanding GCSE results with Yasmin’s support. Our daughter passed the Grammar school exam under Yasmin’s guidance. Yasmin was very thorough with her style. We also found out that in person teaching was highly beneficial.
