As a parent of a past student, I recommend Mrs Marnie Nicholas as a tutor. Marnie tutored my daughter English and Maths between March and September 2019. She managed to help my daughter become a confident and keen mathematician, who passed the exam with flying colours. Marnie is very kind, calm and professional and my daughter enjoyed learning from her. We are very happy we chose Marnie as her tutor.

Marnie prepared my son for the 11+ and he passed with flying colours. I liked her emphasis and views on English comprehension. I was so pleased with my choice. Marnie focused on the language subjects as I wanted, whilst doing a good job teaching maths. It was a good balance. Marnie`s knowledge of childrens learning and her experience of the 11+ materials and what the children need to know really impressed me. Marnie kept lessons interesting and used additional learning materials and resources too. I have also had the pleasure to see for myself Marnie`s teaching style. I found her heart warming and very engaging. My son really enjoyed learning with Marnie.

Marnie has been an excellent tutor to our daughter for the past seven months (currently in year 2). Marnie's positive teaching technique has helped our daughter gain confidence with maths and cursive handwriting. Our daughter throughly looked forward to her lessons with Marnie every week. Sadly, we have moved out of the area now, however we would highly recommend Marnie as a tutor to other pupils in the local area.

Marnie has tutored my son who took his 11+ September 2021 and passed with a higher than average score and also my daughter who took her 11+ September 2022 who also passed with exactly the same score! I’m very impressed with how she has engaged with both of them and took the time to understand them both. Both my son and daughter both thoroughly enjoyed their time with Marnie and even asked me if they could carry on going once it was all done! Marnie explained everything to them in a way that they understood and this has resulted in a big boost in confidence! Both children always had their own lesson and never once did they complain about going, they really enjoyed the lessons and got so much more out of them that I could have hoped for!! I would highly recommend Marnie to anyone looking for a tutor!

Marnie is excellent, glad we found when we did. My daughter is currently getting help with reading, English and maths in her weekly lesson. My daughter is definitely benefiting from them and is catching back up at school. Marnie makes the lessons fun which my daughter really enjoys, while learning.
