Outstanding! Both my children attended Bury Tuition Centre. They took maths and science lessons to improve their grades for GCSEs. After attending the Centre, my son achieved a grade 8 in maths, physics and futher maths. Then he got a place at a Grammar Sixth Form. My daughter has just got a conditional offer for the same Grammar Sixth Form with her predicted grades of 8 in maths, chemistry and biology. Fingers crossed, she will get them on her actual GCSEs. I sent my children to Bury Tuition Centre, not because they were behind and were not doing well, but because they wanted to achieve higher grades of 8 and 9. The teachers at the Centre are true professionals, passionate and dedicated. They really helped my children and it is proved by their results. Thank you so much!

I couldn’t recommend Shazia and Bury Tuition Centre enough. I have used them for both my children during the preparation for their 11+ assessments and they are both well ahead of where they need to be, not only academically, but in their confidence also. Unlike other group tuition sessions, here the teachers focus individually on each child’s level and work so we really feel like the sessions are tailored and they get the best out of their time spent. A friendly, caring and direct approach to learning is just what they needed to get them through the exams, and even after, they come back for sessions to ‘top up’. Perfectly located with easy parking which is a huge plus when running around after school with kids. And most importantly for us; they both feel very safe and listened to. Thank you Shazia!

Fatima has been tutoring my home educated child for the past year. She has been exceptional in her teaching of Maths. Approachable and friendly in her manner, she makes my child feel relaxed and so he is able to learn with ease. He has come on leaps and bounds since Fatima has been tutoring. She is incredibly supportive towards myself, being his parent too. His passion for the subject has grown and I would go as far as to say that Maths is now his most favourite subject! I am always kept up to date with progress. The Maths he has learnt with Fatima has also helped him with other subjects such as Chemistry and Physics. Really pleased with his progress and would recommend to all, her natural flair for the subject really shines through!

My son attended Bolton Hub Tutition for English Maths and Science. All tutors including Fatima were excellent. My son enjoyed his sessions and said the tutors were lovely. Kind friendly and understanding of his requirements. They were flexible and when i asked to move sessiin or for more it was no trouble. He received his results yesterday and passed all his subjects. Online teaching worked brilliantly for me and the white board notes made during the sessions were extremely useful. Marek was great at explaining concepts, and giving me appropriate level questions to check my understanding and build my confidence so that I could eventually do the harder A-Level exam questions. Sessions were well planned to ensure we covered all the topics well before the exams. However Marek was also very willing to move onto or back to trickier topics I was covering in school. He was also happy to help me solve tricky homework questions. Knowing that I could always sort out any difficulties with Marek reduced the pressure in school lessons and meant I could understand and learn more effectively in school as well.

Maths is a subject everyone says they’re not good at because that’s what their parents say but I found it’s all about confidence and methodology. Marek takes the time to work on both and showed great empathy whenever I found something tricky. During covid times he provided a lifeline for my maths A Level and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as a tutor. He went out of his way to ensure I had all the resources I needed and provided support through giving lots of examples and reviewing many past papers on a one to one basis. He made maths enjoyable and real and equipped me for whatever the exams would throw at me. He also has skills to support those less able and worked with my brother though his maths GCSE to get him an unexpected pass so definitely a tutor to use!

Marek provided my son a ‘safe space’ to take his time understanding each topic of his A level maths syllabus. He was excellent at engaging and encouraging my son to aim for the top grades despite his disappointing school results. He reduced my son’s anxiety and increased his confidence in his own ability. My son always finished the sessions more positive and determined to work hard to achieve an A* , which he comfortably did in August 2023. Online sessions were arranged directly with my son but occasional we had to change these due to other school commitments. Marek always offered alternative times which was greatly appreciated , as was the extra support he provide during the long study leave before and between the final A level exams. Marek was also very willing to give me candid feedback on my son’s progress and potential which was really helpful.

I can’t thank Marek enough for all the help I’ve had over the last 18 months. My first lesson was due as the first COVID lockdown started and Marek didn’t waste any time in getting the necessary technology in place to make sure he could meet me virtually every week to provide an extremely valuable online lesson for A Level maths. He has a way of explaining very complex mathematical concepts, that seem alienated to me in class, in a simple but detailed manner. Without his help I can’t imagine I would be able to even contemplate sitting A Level exams. Thank you so much for your help and I’m going to miss our weekly catch ups.

Lee is professional and friendly and it was easy to arrange an assessment for my daughter. He quickly understood her skills and weaknesses and picked out a plan to help her progress. I cannot recommend Lee at Kip McGrath enough. My daughter attended to prepare for her GCSEs and not only did we see her improve academically but her confidence increased too. It is a warm and friendly environment, the tutors are very engaging with the students and we found that she looked forward to going it was never a chore. So much so that she wants to continue attending through summer to prepare for A Levels. I think Lee has been pivotal in ensuring she reaches her full potential. If you are considering getting extra help for your year 10 particularly given the disruption to schooling this year I wouldn’t hesitate in going to Lee at Kip McGrath

To everyone at the Ramsbottom branch. I decided to use Kip Mcgrath for my Grandson Joshua S whose Maths mock result was a little disappointing. He required a grade 6 to take his chosen A level. He started a course in mid March which was one evening per week specifically for Higher Maths. Within a couple of weeks he was showing a marked improved confidence and understanding of the subject matter. His first two exam papers he reported he had found them reasonably easier and he had managed to answer almost 100% of the questions. His last paper was a little more difficult but he was still able to answer 80% and attempted the remaining 20%. I am sure that, would not had been the case if I hadn't decided to choose the Kip Mcgrath programme. The tutors are very dedicated to the children and are completely invested in improving their understanding and knowledge. I believe this was the best gift I could have given my grandson and would 100% recommend Kip Mcgrath to any parent/grandparent looking to aid their children.

In my search for a Tutor to teach A-Level Maths and Physics to my daughter, Chris has raised the bar! Chris tutored my daughter online for A-level Maths and my son online for GCSE Physics. Both were really happy with Chris. They found him really friendly, personable and helpful. Initially I wanted a face-to-face tutor but found the online sessions were ideal and am now glad we didn't go for a face-to-face tutor. It meant both ourselves and Chris could be quite flexible and it was really convenient in terms of simply turning the computer on rather than having to drive somewhere. Both my son and daughter said they preferred doing the sessions online rather than in person. They both said that their knowledge of the subject improved after the sessions with Chris. Neither have received their exam results yet but whatever they get I would not hesitate to recommend Chris.

The support that Chris has provided to my daughter has been amazing. We started working with Chris in March 2020 via online sessions and this has not impeded the tutoring he has provided in anyway. He has built her confidence and knowledge in her ability and she feels fully prepared for her GCSEs. She has not yet finished Year 10 and he is supporting her with revision techniques. My son wanted to sit the entrance exam for BRGS, however we were late to the party and only had a limited number of weeks to prepare. We found Mark via the internet and we booked in for weekly sessions during the summer in the build up to the exam. I cannot recommend Mark highly enough, he made us all feel at ease immediately and my son actually enjoyed the learning with Mark. He worked through as much of the syllabus as possible in the short time they had, and taught him new, quicker & easier ways of achieving the answers. It did the job and he passed the entrance exam with flying colours.

Would highly recommend Bury Maths Tutor. At the end of year 10 my son asked for help with Maths - he was really worried he was going to fail his GCSE. We contacted Mark and he started sessions in June 2022 - just an hour a week. Mark and my son decided what to cover based on the lessons he had had that week and ensuring he was confident. Towards the end of year 11 my son did lots of passed papers to ensure he had a good exam technique. We got my sons GCSE results this morning - he got a 5 - absolutely delighted!!!! Mark was my daughters tutor for over 12 months she lacked confidence and was apprehensive about having a tutor but after the first session she was keen to go back and subsequently went every 2 weeks for a year and then mark agreed to increase to every week to support her GCSEs He was flexible and reliable and so helpful she found his way of teaching much easier than at school and as a result has passed her GCSE maths !! .. she couldn’t have done it without him Thanks Mark
