We had recently had our house extended, the original flags were laid round the extension but we wanted the patio area extending, plus the existing lawn retaining, Richard suggested this was done with sleepers. Richard was easy to deal with and we are very pleased with the end result.

Before chose Ano landscaping, i invited six different garden landscaping businesses to design and quote on transforming our garden & we chose Ano landscaping due the professional design that Marek produced, along with being super impressed with his professionalism and quote. Marek’s team worked exceptionally hard whilst working on our garden and they were very friendly and accommodating to our tweaks to the design as the work commenced. If you considering which landscaping team to instruct on your garden, you will hugely impressed by Ano landscaping and I give Marek and his team, our 100% recommendation.

What a fantastic team Marek has. We needed some decking taken out and replacing with flagstones. Marek had come highly recommended for a friend whose garden they had done almost from scratch. 3 quotes but Marek was the only one to discuss the damp proof course and water drainage. He was the only one to give a fully laid out written quote. The team worked tirelessly on our garden for a week. They were clean efficient and stickers for detail, but always consulted before carrying out the work. We just can’t recommend Marek and the team highly enough. Other alleged Landscaping Companies would do well to take a leaf out of Ano Landscaping's book and provide their quality of work at their prices! Many thanks Marek & team

Marek and the team at ANO Landscaping took our heavily overgrown multi-level back garden into a spacious, beautiful one in over 4 weeks and in adverse weather. It is now ripe for me to add my own planting scheme. Right from Marek's initial site visit he impressed me with his approach. He listened to my ideas and provided advice together with further design ideas, verbally and via several 3D drawings. The specialist tree surgeon and the team were equally as impressive, skilled, polite, friendly, communicating well with us as the project progressed. I love it all but especially the stone retaining wall and the attention to detail on the patio, wood store and decking areas. I fully recommend Marek and the team!

We used Take Root garden design’s “design in a day service” as our small garden required redesigning after a small extension had been built. Alison’s ideas were a perfect way to transform a large wall and some concrete bases we had struggled to integrate into the garden. Alison design included raised beds, integral seating patio and utility areas, with complementary planting ideas. The design is recently complete using a landscaping company recommended by Alison that I would also highly recommend. The garden is now another room in our home as it has been designed to be viewed from both downstairs rooms. This is the most pleasing aspect it definitely meets the saying of “bringing the outside in”. The colours of the bricks, paving and planting Alison design blends and complements our indoor room, very clever indeed, seeing is believing. If you want a garden which works for you and saves you costly mistakes I would highly recommend Take Root garden design. It is great value for money, with a design Alison produces which works, I would highly recommend this service.

I’ve just moved to a new house and am very keen to get stuck in with my garden, but was a bit overwhelmed with ideas and not sure what would be best for my space. We asked Alison to help us re-design an area of our long established garden. She was meticulous in her measuring and note taking. A few weeks later we received her idea for our new patio/pergola. We were very excited to see what she had envisioned for us and we were not disappointed. Our garden was badly in need of a makeover. A sloping and uneven lawn, overgrown shrubs, ugly fencing, lack of privacy and impractical patio were some of issues we wanted to address. At our first meeting with Shaun and Callum they took time to really understand our issues and what we wanted to achieve. Unsurprisingly, the design they produced delivered almost exactly what we were looking for and we had no hesitation in engaging them to carry out the work. Sadly, Shaun passed away before the work started and apart from being very upset at his loss we were concerned about the impact this would have on the project. However, Callum calmly reassured us that he and Kieran (his assistant) would be able to complete the work. We decided to go ahead and in just over a month they removed overgrown shrubs, scraped the existing lawn, levelled the ground and laid a new lawn, built a block retaining wall and a raised border edged with sleepers. They also built steps and a sleeper wall and relaid a gravel path. They also moved shrubs around and planted the borders with new trees and shrubs to provide privacy and colour throughout the seasons. During the build we found them to be hardworking, reliable, collaborative, imaginative and personable. They also demostrated their flexibility by allowing our builder to lay our new patio before they had finished their part of the project. We are delighted with our new garden and highly recommend Callum and Kieran for similar garden projects.

Shaun worked on a large garden project for us and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included a large dig-out, building new sleeper walls, installing decking, laying a porcelain tile patio, building new steps and a path, prepping and laying artificial grass, moving a garden shed, planting and much more. We had a blank canvas to start with and a strong idea of what we wanted to achieve. We were not only looking for a cost effective way to get the job done but also looking someone we could work through our ideas with to create a space that was sleek, modern and great for entertaining. We shopped around and got quotes from several landscapers. Shaun’s quote was the best value and his costs were transparent - he kindly itemised the costs for me as well so I knew it wasn’t just a figure pulled out of thin air like some garden quotes can be. Cost aside, what we really liked about Shaun after first meeting him was his upfront, honest and passionate approach to his work which you can see straight away. Shaun was fantastic to work with from day one. He kept us informed every step of the way and his daily updates meant we were always comfortable and reassured with each stage of the work. He understood our brief and was focused on making sure every detail was to our liking. Shaun clearly isn’t just a landscaper and has a real passion for gardens. His knowledge and experience in garden design and planting was especially helpful in helping us decide on a whole range of details during our project. You can tell that Shaun really believes in the importance of outdoor spaces and we had numerous conversations during the project about layout, storage, heating options, materials, lighting, planting, the list goes on! Shaun isn’t the type to rush through things so he can move onto the next job - His willingness and energy to push to make our space the best it could be was there right upto the final day of work. The finished garden is everything we hoped for and more. It’s a complete transformation of the space that has wowed and shocked our family and friends! It’s hard to explain or convey with photos the feel of the completed space. It has a balance and a continuity of materials, textures and themes that give it a real sense of atmosphere and mood - particularly at dusk. It’s a place that we always want to spend time in and feel very lucky to call our own. Thank you Shaun for all your hard work.

Callum and Kieran delivered exactly what we were wanting in our garden remodel. Both worked with us to come up with practical and aesthetic ideas for our previously rundown garden. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and we’ve never dealt with more polite young men. As well as keeping us informed at every stage of the process, they were always keen to ask how each element of the garden would best suit our needs, whilst remaining realistic in what would both look and work best for our space. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and we couldn’t be happier with our new garden, just in time for Summer!

Martin and his lads did a great job at my mum and dads. Their garden is huge and steep and was very overgrown, a jungle of overgrown trees and plants. So it was a heck of a big and difficult job. This is the best it has looked in 10 years! Professionally Martin was always courteous and told us what they were doing and when they would be coming and the price was quoted up front and he stuck to it. Good value for money. The job was finished off to a high standard. Everything was neat and tidy when finished. The block paving at the front, down the side and at the back was cleaned really well and sealed and looks great now. Wish I had taken before photos!

The area in front of our conservatory was a tricky area. We couldn't work out how to get it looking good so had sadly left it in a state. Martyn came and gave us some options and we agreed a way forward. May not be obvious in the photos but the land slopes down to the driveway and also up towards the house which makes the work tricky. They removed 2 lots of edging which were a trip hazard and added some steps finally to our conservatory, great! All in all the area is now looking great. 😀 We were kept up-to-date throughout the works. The lads were polite and worked hard. Would use them again. 👍 Before and after photos

We recently had a really bad experience with a landscaper who we paid a lot of money to and who left the project in a mess. Fortunately we had kept some of the fee back when we sacked him and then went out to find someone to put everything right. Enter RS Groundworks! I spoke to Rob and explained the situation and he came to look within a couple of days. He made a plan, fully explained it, and then told is his fees. We knew he had other work on and would fit us in when he could, but within a couple of weeks he came along and got on with the job. It's now all done and looking like we wanted it in the first place. Rob is very hard working, punctual, professional and experienced. His fees were fair. Our only regret was not getting Rob in the first place! (We actually tried)!! I would thoroughly recommend RS Groundworks.

Thankyou for an absolutely brilliant job, especially so with it being just before Christmas. After the last storms, my complete back garden fence had come down blocking the park snicket behind my house which a lot of people use this snicket as a short cut to park. Not only did Rob come highly recommended but him and his team worked hard and even managed to finish a day before the due finishing date, proper grafters. They were there first thing and worked through each day until just before dark. The finished job was exactly what I wanted, Thankyou again and Merry Christmas 🎄

We are really pleased with our new patio. Rob and his team did a great job from helping us with our design ideas through to completion of the job on time and accurate to the initial quote . He and his team were hard working, efficient and tidy. We also appreciated that he had old stone slabs to use for our job in keeping with the look of our house and existing stone path. Amazing job by Rob at our place over the last 3 weeks. He and Ash worked tirelessly on our patio and driveway and have completely transformed our outdoor space. Rob was great from the minute we spoke to him - he had some cracking ideas which was great as we weren’t really sure what we wanted. Some contractors want to know exact details of what work needs doing right from the start but Rob worked flexibly with us throughout to take into account our changing priorities. Can’t speak highly enough of Rob - he has a mantra of seeing a job through to the end which was great as we weren’t really sure what “the end” should look like.
