We have used Shaw Electrical on several occasions and they have never failed to provide an excellent service at a competitive price. The power to the sockets in one of our bedrooms failed this morning, Wayne responded within 20 minutes and quickly fixed the problem. Another crisis averted. Much appreciated and highly recommended.

We recently had an alarm system fitted by Wayne and Spencer…and from start to finish we received a top class, reliable service. Nothing was too much trouble. Both had the time and patience to talk us through the new system and offer their time if we had any concerns once fitted. On top of this they were very respectful of our home ie wore shoe protectors, cleared each area as they went along, and we’re generally extremely polite and courteous…true gents. We will be calling on them again for some lighting, indoors and outdoors, in the near future.

I had a fault on my house alarm, I contacted Wayne at Shaw Electrical. He told me that they were working in the area, and would be with me as soon as they could. Ten minutes later Wayne and Spencer arrived. Within ten minutes they had found the fault and rectified the problem. They talked me through, what they had done, and also reprogrammed my keypad. Many thanks for their prompt and reliable service.

I used Hirst Electrical Services to carry out an EICR Report on a house I was looking to buy in Ilkeston. They were able to arrange to visit the house at the same time as the surveyor so there was little disturbance for the seller. Steve gave me a call on his way home to let me know the results and the report was with me a few days later. Great service from the team and I will use them again for any more work I need on my house.

Adam Hensley Electrician was highly recommended to me by Wakefield Driveways who built my new extention. I needed 6 ceiling kitchen lights and two security lights outside. Adam was prompt reliable and explained the work he was doing for us. I was very impressed with his work. Additionally recently the electrics suddenly cut off throughout our home. I telephoned Adam Hensley and requested an urgent call out. Adam arrived that day. Fixed the problem temporary and agreed to put in an entire electric fuse box for the entire house at a fair and competitive price. Adam was punctual and professionally completed this significant job in one day. Adam also repaired some existing electoral sockets free. I could not recommend this company highly enough they made my home safe again. Polite, friendly, professional and reliable.

I’ve been using Adam Hemsley for around five years since my previous electrician retired and I’ve been very impressed. He sticks to his quotes and you know exactly what you’re paying for. Fast and efficient turnout, no dramas or shocks ( pun intended) There have two occasions when I’ve needed him quick at commercial properties, one being a hairdressers he attended straight away. Used Adam Hemsley electrical when my elderly father was experiencing an electrical fault in his home whilst I was at work and unable to get there. Adam attended promptly and managed to sort out the electrical fault that had left my father without power, which he depends on as he has multiple health and mobility issues. Adam also provided information on how we can resolve the issue to prevent further outages. Adam is extremely competent and also friendly. He made sure my father was comfortable and safe and made sure I was fully informed about the situation.

Fantastic service! Rang late evening in a fluster because our new burglar alarm was going off and we didn’t have a code (just moved in!). Mark was so helpful and patient and talked us through how to disarm it. We will definitely be calling on his services once we have the code to reset it so he can put it back together!!! We used Mark for a full electrical rewire. As we were doing a full house renovation, we went through many electricians / quotes before choosing him (and we were very new to this). We chose Mark due to his professionalism and knowledge, as well as being friendly and approachable. He took time to answer any questions we had and gave us some very helpful tips. Nothing was ever too much and when we had last minute changes he was happy to accommodate. He was very careful with all the fixtures we provided, leaving the plastic covers on until we were ready to remove them post-renovation. Mark carried out a full rewire of our house. The minute he left after providing a quote, we knew we'd found our electrician. Mark gave us the confidence we needed to know he is an excellent electrician; he explained everything in detail and provided recommendations that were in our best interest and within our budget. He didn't try to up sell us or streer us wrong. Mark travelled every morning to our house which is a decent distance from his home. He communicated regularly with us when our input was needed. Mark installed an EV charger for me and I found him to be friendly, trustworthy, polite and professional. His work was clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to find a tradesmen that fills you with confidence. He was not pressured by time constraints and made sure his work was complete and ensured a full understanding in handover. I've used Derrick twice over the last few years, once for a full rewire on a renovation, then again for a fault in a different property. Derrick is always efficient and reliable, with no job too big or too small. Five out of five stars!!!

We were very happy with Derrick, he did a great job changing our fuse box, installing a CCTV camera and complete revision of the electricity and plugs and wherever he found something which required an attention he just fixed it. Very pleased for the service.

Neale provided his expertise to replace an induction hob for my elderly mum, nothing was too much trouble; his service was quick and professional and he spent time to show my mum the controls and functions of the new appliance. A totally professional company. From my initial contact with the company Ainsley sorted out a day and time for the repair of the kitchen extractor unit. Frazier arrived on time he was totally professional and polite unfortunately the kitchen extractor was not repairable. I ordered a new unit and again this was booked to be fitted. I had Electrical Innovations out for a house alarm service. House alarm was beyond economical repair. I was given various options, went for the wireless system, provided with a quote and accepted. They turned up when they said they would, performed the job to the highest standard, took old alarm away and all the packaging from the new alarm. I was kept updated with arrival times via text message. Brad the technician cleaned up after himself, no mess was left. We were very impressed with the service provided. Once the alarm was installed, Brad went through everything with me, explained the settings and set up the app on our phones. Fantastic service, you get what you pay for. You won't be disappointed. Had 10 solar panels with a Tesla Powerwall3 battery fitted by Electric innovations , whole process was seamless from start to finish , was kept upto date on the installastion timings etc , arrived 8.30am and was all done dusted logged in to the app at 3.30pm by Ben and his team , since the work has been completed i have received various follow up emails and conversations to make sure i was happy with the work completed and if i needed any further assistance . I would have absolutely have no hesitation in recommending this company , very professional approachable and local , this is the second job they have done for me after installing my car charger 2 years ago as well. I am very pleased with the service from Bulldog. They responded quickly to my initial enquiry and were courteous on the phone, email and in person. They turned up on time to replace a faulty socket and fit an exterior security light. The work looks good, especially the neat exterior cabling, and they tidied up after themselves. I would say that the price was very reasonable, especially considering how long it took to drill and cable the exterior light. Overall, I am very pleased with the service and would use again.

A rapid response was received by this company who completed the installation of a new 10-way mains fuse box making way for an additional fridge freezer. A clean, neat professional job was completed in record time. Then, another piece of work involved access to the loft to provide connections for two pull cord switches in two further bedrooms. The creative use of trunking meant redecoration was not necessary. I would highly recommend this company for any domestic electrical work.
