I underwent extensive implant treatment under Dr Larcombe following the collapse of a prominent bridge in my mouth. Dr Larcombe carefully explained to me that the procedure would require initial bone augmentation surgery to ‘grow’ jaw bone sufficient to hold the new implants. I applaud Dr Larcombe and his team for all their extraordinary work on my behalf. While the initial stage of the process involved an unavoidable degree of very significant pain, I was constantly reassured that all would be well and I am in no doubt that the final, almost miraculous, outcome has made the process entirely worthwhile for me. I have a ‘proper’ mouth once more, free of the limitations and inconvenience of a denture. I can smile with confidence once again and it is again a pleasure to enjoy eating, without any of the enduring concerns which I previously faced as a denture wearer. I am hugely grateful to Dr Larcombe and his colleagues for their outstanding recovery work on my behalf.

I am delighted with my implant supported bridge and previously have had three separate implants. I could not tolerate a denture and this is far preferable. Similar to many others I had a very good experience here. I needed an implant and crown. Nick Ross was excellent throughout. It was expensive, about 25% more than other private implant options in Winchester, but was recommended by a number of friends and I'm glad I chose to go with Nick. He is great at putting you at ease even through the unpleasant pulling of the old tooth, and it was easy to relax and trust he was doing good work. The treatment plan went as expected and the end result is excellent, the new crown looks very natural and compared to another older crown next to it, from another dentist, it looks like an original tooth. I had no problems during the treatment, and getting appointments quickly was easy, they were able to start the process two weeks after I decided to go for it. I went for two years 0% finance offered by the clinic, which was arranged easily and smoothly. Expensive but worth it, in my opinion. I only saw Nick Ross, and can't comment on any of the other dentists working there. December 24.

I’ve always dreaded cleanings because of the pain, but Airflow was completely different. It was quick, gentle, and effective — no discomfort at all! I have been visiting Ben and his team for a very long time. Today i received my treatment from a new member of the team - Paris. The care and attention i received was amazing. The team at Whites are so consistently professional. Everything is explained, time is allocated so that the treatment is not rushed. Ben is simply the best! I’d had Invisalign with another dentist (not ortho) before finding Ben. Invisalign did not suffice and was not accurate enough to correct my smile. After losing hope, Ben was able to provide me with a full, person centred treatment plan. My teeth (now 4.5 years later) are still amazing after having white brackets and composite bonding. As a result, my son has had his braces with Ben (he’s so good with children!) and my colleagues too. Whites is no ordinary practice, they all go above and beyond. I came to White Winchester as my bridge fitted many years ago had broken one of the supporting teeth had broken which was non repairable, I had a consultation with Ben who advised me the only option was to replace the bridge with 3 teeth implants bridge. Ben took a lot of time over my appointments with a lot of care in explaining all of treatment and procedures he was undertaken. From the very first appointment until when everything was completed not once was, I left not knowing what was happening from teeth removal to post's being fitted and finally new teeth being fitted, over a number of appointment Ben and the amazing team at the practise made me feel welcome and comfortable and explained everything. I've been going here for 3 years as a self-funding patient and they are always friendly and efficient. I book the hygienist followed by the dentist, usually 6 months ahead to ensure a convenient time. As with many dentists, they never miss an opportunity to remind me of my responsibility for self-care, but I find it helpful to know it makes a difference!

Christie (dental hygienist) is kind, caring and super-professional. She gets the job done brilliantly, always chats through what she's doing, always checks everything is okay. I used to go into a dentist's nearly in tears, very frightened. Having seen Christie for 3 years, I now go in with a smile and come out with a better one ... nice and shiny and clean !

Just back from having a replacement filling and couldn't be more satisfied. Booking process a week or so ago was very easy, reception staff are lovely, helpful and professional. Very welcoming and positive today. Was called through by the dentist, Joe, similarly welcoming and put me at ease. Checked I was there for the correct procedure , talked me through what was entailed and then very efficiently started work. Lots of checking back everything was OK. He very slickly removed the old filling and decay and then refilled with white acrylic. No fuss, all very smooth and painless! Feels a great result so I’m very pleased.

I arrived as a new patient to see Steve Larcombe who came highly recommended by my husband who had some recent implants done . My previous dentist whom I’d been with for 35years recently retired. I felt a little nervous but soon felt at ease with the lovely staff they have onboard. A front tooth next to a crown that I’ve had for a number of years was rather discolored and Steve managed to match a composite filling to the tooth and I came away from my first session at the practice over the moon with my treatment.

the filling on a lower molar came out recently. i have a crown with the filling on top. years ago i had my root canal treated by my dentist in hong kong. i went to see dr nathan flizer yesterday. he promptly put the filling back for me. he advised me to go back in 4 weeks time. unfortunately when i eat the molar was not working so good. this morning i callled the clinic. i was promptly given an appointment to see dr hammid. at 9.30. i was late cos i missed the bus. by the timei met dr hammid he had already efficiently retrieved my record n X ray. he definitely is very experienced n professional. he took an X ray n explained thoroughly to me that the underlying cause of my discomfort is something to do with the fact that i m having a dead molar. it could not stand pressure caused by action of the adjacent teeth. so contrary to what my crown is fine. he prescribed a course of antibiotics, for he saw some blurred dark showdow at the botoom of the canal. he made some adjustments to the upper molar with his tool to lessen the pressure on my lower molar. hooefully, this will resolve my concern. thanks dr hammid for your thorough explanation n efficient good work. Hopefully, that would solve my issues. the price is reasonable.

Have just visited St James Dental Practice after a very long time away and it was polite and friendly as it has always been. Also, it was the very first time we would be meeting our new dentist, and what a charming person. I am not a great fan of having to “open wide” and do suffer slight panic attacks, but he was warm and kind and made me feel at ease. So a BIG thank you to all at the practice…

I’m new to St James and have only been twice after having seen a private dentist during Covid Times as no one would take on new patients. I had called St James some time last year, wanting to ask how long the waitlist was for new patients and was pleasantly surprised when I heard that there wasn’t really one and that I could be seen shortly after I called. Visiting any dentist always makes me feel nervous but even though I’m only new here, I’ve felt very welcome and well looked after each time, with the dentist and nurse ensuring I’m ok and explaining everything as they went along.
