We had a wonderful dinner at the Carpenter’s Arms on a Saturday night. It is so cosy and welcoming with a large open fire and a laid back, inviting atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly and knowledgable about the menu and the wine list. The food was delicious - I had the gnocchi and my friend had the chicken breast and we both had a glass of Malbec. This is the perfect spot for a catch up dinner or a special occasion. I could not recommend highly enough!

Brill restaurant / pub. Hidden away and quietly doing its thing. Amazing food, fab atmosphere, nice crowd and great staff. Music on Mondays, which is highly recommended. Good fireplace. Outdoor secret garden for when it’s warm. With blankets for when it’s not.

Had the most lovely evening here with the best food - honestly the best meal we’ve had in a while! Will definitely be back during another London visit.

Delicious roasts and we came here on a Bank Holiday Monday and shared a few small plates. It's usually closed on a Monday and Tuesdays with the exception of Bank Holidays. The selection of small and main dishes and desserts makes it hard to choose! Food is fantastic, seasonal and super fresh. There is a large garden and its children and dog friendly. Highly recommend foe a weekend lunch or dinner with friends or family. Great selection of wine to top it off and only a 10 minute walk to the river

My local pub that has undergone a few changes in management over recent years. This change is a good change. Food is creative and done to high standards - you'll like it. Candles, fireplace, a nice buzz - what's not to like. Slight gripes: while my pork chop was delicious, the portion size was measly for nearly £30 with a splodge of mash that was more like the amount of ketup you'd put with chips. Fortunately we had ordered a few sides and my dinner companions weren't bothered... Also, we sat at our table for 40 mins before a waiter came up and scolded us for not having our order in. If he'd come earlier, we would have ordered earlier! Ditto with the bill, it took 10 mins to get some attention and another 10 to get the card machine. Why not bring them both together?
