“I visited today and had the lemon drizzle cake and coffee which was delicious. I was served straight away and the lady was really nice and polite. She got me a table straight away and brought my cake and coffee over to me. I love the pictures of last of the summer wine are on the walls of the tearoom, it really does add character to the name of the tea room itself. I would definitely recommend this place and I would like to come again, if I'm in Holmfirth again in the near future.”

Lovely place, full of last of the summer wine pictures and ornaments. The staff are very nice. The breakfast I had was great, I went for the big batty special.

The Wrinkled Stocking Tea Room is nothing short of a hidden gem. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear this charming tea room prides itself on providing both exceptional food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was an absolute treat—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re enjoying a light lunch or indulging in a decadent afternoon tea, the flavors never disappoint. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service we received from Katie. She went above and beyond in making our visit memorable. Not only was she attentive and friendly, but she also took the time to share recommendations for local sights, including tips on filming locations from Last of the Summer Wine. Her passion for the area was infectious, and it added such a personal touch to our experience. As if that wasn't enough, my father was celebrating his birthday, and Katie surprised him with a cake and a candle—such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that truly made the day feel special. The Wrinkled Stocking Tea Room is more than just a café; it’s a place where good food and outstanding service come together to create a memorable experience. Whether you're a local or visiting the area, this delightful tea room is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!

We've been here twice now for lunch ( both times we had the hot pork roll , chips and gravy ), and both times, the food (huge portions and extremely delicious) , the staff , and the service here have been amazing. We'll definitely be back when in the area again.

Good prices considering it's association with Last of the Summer Wine. Great Coffee and a nice big Teacake that our Sandwiches came in. Friendly Staff. Highly recommended. Access is at street level from the main road if the stone steps at the riverside are too much for you.

“We have eaten here many times, but last trip we brought my sister who is coeliac. She thought everything was excellent, and was very impressed with the quality of the gluten free meals. Her only regret? That she didn't live closer so she could come every Sunday for brunch 😀”

“Love love love it. Fabulous breakfast, probably one of the best full English I have had. There's a lot of very nice food to suit all tastes on the breakfast menu. Service from the lovely polite and friendly staff can't be faulted either. A real hidden gem. If I lived any closer I'd be there every day!”

“My fiance works here and took me here for my birthday. Visited England for a week. First time having an Afternoon Tea and it was amazing. The staff wanted to meet me while I visited. They was all lovely. The best thing I ate was the salmon sandwich that was part of the Afternoon tea. Probably the best thing I ever had. Their cream cheese and chives pulled it off greatly. The other sandwiches was amazing and the soup was great. I loved trying scones with cream and jam for the first time. The food is great. I think the tea cups and plates are adorable. I had a great time! Thank you! I also love the natural lighting and atmosphere of the place. Thank you so much!”

“This is a lovely little place with plenty of seating, inside and out. The food was very nice and the own Adrian is so lovely and welcoming. The jazz music playing in the background is fab and they had a few toys for the kids to play with. The best thing for me is that they have really thought about the gluten free options. It’s very clean and tidy too.”
