I’ve been meaning to write a review as I’ve eaten here a few times since it opened. The food is always delicious and well-prepared. There’s loads of choice of Greek food but I usually get the LA eggs because they’re so good!

Highly recommend! This is one of the best breakfast I have ever had in UK. L.A egg : appreciate the goat cheese on top. The combination of goat cheese and the egg, sauce and muffin is really amazing. Skewers platter: it is not in menu but the chef made this for us. The chicken skewer impressed us so much cos it’s tender and juicy. I really like the peppers between the meats. Must come again.

Quaint place claiming to be Greek. Broad range of options on the menu including vegetarian. Food was tasty and coffee good. If you are more than 4 it's probably best to reserve as it was busy on a Sunday for brunch around 11am. The same restaurant in a nicer location with more spacious seating options would be better for ambience.

Rating: 4.9 (75) Price Level:

Incredible food- menu changes more or less every week and there’s a set menu that can be adapted for allergies/requirements. Really small place with great service and a good range of natural wines. 100% recommend!

What an incredible place. Beautifully cooked, seasonal menu with the most wonderful wine pairings to run alongside. Everything felt so thoughtful and intentional. Excellent service from friendly, knowledgeable staff. To top it off, it is also incredibly reasonably priced. I think about the time I had at Hern regularly and I cannot wait to go back for more.

Had a special family meal here and wow, probably the best fish dish I've ever had. I usually take a lot more photos but the food was just too good. So impressed with the menu with such imaginative dishes and favour. They offer a four course menu with optional extras and several tasty starters and bread to wake your taste buds up before the main event. Delicious, great value, will definitely be back...oh and they made room for us to take our dog after ringing to ask if it was possible. 10/10!

Attended this fine establishment for a meal out with my beautiful girlfriend. Celebrating 5 years of our relationship and 5 years of Hern. The food was delicious as always. The Beurre Blanc was notably exquisite.

Went on a Saturday for the set menu with and added cheese course and suggested wines. Service was relaxed and friendly, and pacing of each course was just right- neither waiting too long or feeling rushed. All the food was well presented, and I particularly enjoyed the lamb main. Will be coming back!

Such a lovely atmosphere & place to bring friends and eat, especially if you like Greek food! I’m currently on a very specific diet due to illness and they were super accommodating, making sure there was nothing on my plate that I couldn’t eat. AND it was still tasty :) thank you x

Grabbed a quick take away coffee last week. I had initially thought this has been made far too hot and ruined the coffee. After the first few sips it definitely delivered a lovely mix of sweet flavours to complement the coffee. So, I cannot hesitate to give it 5 stars. Very well done as so, so many people get it wrong but you delivered excellent coffee.

Edit 04/23 - boosting my 4* review to 5*, by the power of ham and cheese croissant. It was soooo good. Loving the local ingredients. Hope they keep these going, I’ll definitely be back for another. RHC are also one of the only places I can get an iced oat latte that isn’t too milky. The people are lovely and you can tell a lot of care and attention goes into the coffee. — Walked past here plenty of times waiting for it to open, excited to see it was today. Small coffee shop with a couple of cosy seats, simple decor. Ordered an iced oat latte to go. Smaller than I’d expect for the price, but I appreciate you could taste the coffee as they can sometimes be too milky. One thing I’d say is I didn’t even notice the pastries as they’re built into the counter on the edge, so heads up for that! Hoping in the future for more eco friendly packaging, straw was paper but I believe both the cup and lid were not recyclable. They use oatly which isn’t my favourite oat milk brand (questionable ethics), prefer califia farms or moma personally. Appreciate this was their first week of opening and hope it goes well for them. Would love to see some branded cups/ at least a sleeve. (Edit) Appreciate the response from the owner. All makes sense. There’s nothing wrong with a 4 star review, leaves room for improvement. Bit odd that other reviewers seem to be piggybacking off my review to “undo” what I’ve said. It’s just my opinion! My partner picked me up an iced oat latte today and it was in a bigger, recyclable cup. Good times

Hands down the best cafe, baristas and coffee in Leeds by far The owners really care about their customers and they show through their commitment to training and embracing their team. The food choices are well thought out and complement the coffee shop vibe. They even have great background music and a genuine interest in how their customers day is going ! (To such a degree and level of care rarely experienced in contemporary British hospitality) When they ask how are you they actually mean it and care about your answer! There’s plenty of choice for the discerning coffee aficionados our there; a good few yummy cookies and one or two high quality, thoughtfully made and well prepared, gourmet toasted sandwiches but even the banter between customers and the staff puts other venues to shame demonstrating that when owners actually care its palpable. Many of the team rotate between my favourite branch on Stainburn Parade and the Harvey Nichols cafe in the Victoria shopping centre and its the same high quality experience from attentive staff and attention to details that set this young brand apart from their competitors I hope they flourish cos its super!

Fantastic little coffee shop! Couldn’t resist trying the blue matcha, which was made excellently! I was impressed by the quality! The barista was very friendly and welcoming - accommodating to all my questions. The atmosphere was lovely - very clean! Noticed how on it the barista was at cleaning, which is always a good sign. The atmosphere was brilliant - great place to read and write. Also loved the layout of the whole cafe. Wish I lived nearby, recommend!

Loved it, not eaten here before and the burgers were on point. For such a big burger it was super lean, no grease, up there with one of my best burgers I've had. Beers also reasonably priced! We absolutely loved it :) We got 2 beers, a cider and 2 burgers with fries and coleslaw, everything homemade. It was amazing and lovely staff too. Will definitely be back!

Really lovely cafe, will always support local and we're really happy it's doing so well. But recently we've been shot down 4 times when we've tried coming in for a coffee or breakfast so booking is a must. No seriously, we were refused in an almost empty restaurant because 'we have bookings coming in over the next hour' the lady said. Very embarrassing but also will book in future ❤️

Good brownies that are reasonably priced. They are slightly sweeter than I personally like, and are a bit hard to finish. It’s nice to see a business that started in the area expanding and opening more stores. Friendly staff. Keep up the good work!

Tried a few brownies and bits from here and from a pop up. Super yummy. Very sweet of course, I think some of the brownies could take a touch more salt to balance the sweetness, but that’s just my personal preference. Snickers brookie is my favourite so far. The cookie slice tasted a little bit bicarby, will have to try another one to re-review. The Oreo cookie pie OH MY what a thing. I was taken out in two bites. Incredibly dense but absolutely delicious, I want to try them all!! The coffee is not my favourite, maybe it’s the oat milk they use, not sure. Will definitely keep coming here.

Super homemade sweet pastries. They are well made and delicious (and high calorific value). The shop is local and neighbourly and it is independently owned and managed and this is so very good. You can feel the personal passion and desire to offer a food product and service. I will return as it is very good and have marked this as a favourite, to support and to buy for others. What could be improved? Three or four lines.of semi-sweet and/or savoury cakes. Such as fruit scones, or other less sweet options. That would.make this excellent for everyone. Also give elthe website a higher profile within the shop so we can buy online when we live further away!

Never been in before. Got a bacon sandwich, chocolate flapjack, and a latte. All were a lot cheaper than my go-to breakfast cafe which was an instant bonus, plus they were just as good. The staff were lovely, friendly, and patient. Albeit a small place the vibe was really cosy and warm, and I especially liked the decoration. Will definitely be coming back to try a full English!
